Two-way satellite time and frequency transfer (TWSTFT) is one of the main techniques used to compare atomic time scales over long distances. To both improve the precision of TWSTFT and decrease the satellite link fee, a new software-defined modem with dual pseudo-random noise (DPN) codes has been developed. In this paper, we demonstrate the first international DPN-based TWSTFT experiment over a period of 6 months. The results of DPN exhibit excellent performance, which is competitive with the Global Positioning System (GPS) precise point positioning (PPP) technique in the short-term and consistent with the conventional TWSTFT in the long-term. Time deviations of less than 75 ps are achieved for averaging times from 1 s to 1 d. Moreover, the DPN data has less diurnal variation than that of the conventional TWSTFT. Because the DPN-based system has advantages of higher precision and lower bandwidth cost, it is one of the most promising methods to improve international time-transfer links. 相似文献

We measured the complex transverse acoustic impedance in both superfluid 3He A1 and A2 phases. This impedance is sensitive to surface states. In our preliminary results, the temperature dependence of the impedance in the A1 phase is similar to that in A phase, and the imaginary part shows an anomaly in the A2 phase. These anomalies occurred at the temperature defined as T k , which is lower as the frequency gets higher. The similar frequency dependence of T k in each phase suggests that the anomaly is attributed to the same origin. The frequency dependence of the T k /T c indicates that the shape of the surface density of each spin pair state did not greatly change in the present experimental temperature range. 相似文献

Pedestrian–vehicle conflicts are considered as a common safety problem at signalized intersections. The threat to pedestrian safety is mainly related to the interaction with turning vehicles, especially left-turners (left-hand traffic system). This study aims to analyze the lag/gap acceptance behavior of left-turners considering pedestrian movement at signalized crosswalks. Furthermore, the severity of pedestrian–vehicle conflicts is addressed by analyzing vehicle speeds at the conflict points. User behavior at several signalized intersections in Japan is observed by using video cameras. It is assumed that pedestrian movements have their origin at either the near-side (the side of the exiting vehicular traffic) or far-side of the crosswalk. Accepted/rejected lags and gaps are extracted, classified depending on the direction of pedestrian movement, and modeled by using Cumulative Weibull distribution function. The results show that drivers tend to accept shorter lags/gaps between near-side pedestrians compared to far side pedestrians. Furthermore, drivers tend to accept short lags while being conservative about short gaps. Simultaneously vehicles clear the conflict area with significantly higher speeds when accepting lags with single pedestrians. This indicates that the conflicts that occur at low pedestrian demand levels are more severe compared to those at high demand levels. 相似文献

Mainly due to their great toughness, martensitic stainless steels are used for manufacturing hydraulic turbines. However, these steels have some restrictions regarding regions recovered by welding, mainly due to the formation of non-quenched martensite, which causes a reduction in toughness. Considering repair of hydraulic turbines, there is a great interest in developing welding procedures that increase impact toughness and avoid post-welding heat treatment (TTPS). This study aims to analyse the influence of interpass temperature on microstructure, impact toughness and fatigue crack propagation in multipass welded joints on martensitic stainless steel CA6NM, using AWS410NiMo filler metal and the gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process. In the sample with interpass temperature of 80°C, influence of the interpass temperature on the formation of ferrite δ, with intragranular formation in the two-phase δ field, was observed, while in the sample welded at 150°C, the formation of ferrite δδ occurred mainly in the single-phase field. The change in the formation of ferrite δ, with the low interpass temperature, promoted an increase in impact toughness and a decrease in the fatigue crack propagation when compared with the sample welded with a higher interpass temperature. The results obtained indicate that the TIG process is an excellent alternative for the repair of CA6NM steel, with a significant influence from the interpass temperature. 相似文献

We previously proposed that oil heated with gluten was suitable for use as a safe oil for weight-loss dieting. In the present paper, the properties of the oil were improved, and the weight-loss effect was compared with that of heated oil. Fresh oil was heated for 10 h at 180 degrees C with or without gluten and filtered using filter paper. A powdered diet (AIN93G; no fat) was mixed with 7 wt% of fresh oil (control) or filtrates of the heated oils described above, and the mixture was fed to male Wistar rats for 12 weeks. The gluten and heated oil groups showed no gross symptoms attributable to the experimental oils but had a slowed body weight increase; a significant difference was found in weight on and after 21 weeks of age as compared to rats consuming the control diet, and fecal excretion was increased as compared to the control group. Serum levels of triacylglycerol, phospholipids, cholesterol, and glucose of the gluten and heated oil groups were significantly lower than those of the control group. High aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels occurred more frequently in the heated oil group than the gluten group. The number of rats with dark red patches on the surface of the liver, which are indicative of liver damage, was higher in the heated oil group. In conclusion, the weight-reducing effect of the oil heated with gluten was confirmed and improved by removing traces of heated gluten from the oil. 相似文献

Fatty acids are converted into energy via beta-oxidation. Although almost all natural occurring fatty acids are even-numbered, there are some odd-numbered fatty acids too. The details of the metabolism rate of odd-numbered fatty acids, however, are not clear. In the present study, we simultaneously administered a triacylglycerol containing four types of labeled even-numbered (palmitic acid and stearic acid) and odd-numbered (pentadecanoic acid and heptadecanoic acid) fatty acids to mice to compare the rates of their metabolism. The rates of metabolism were evaluated based on the accumulation of the labeled fatty acids in the small intestine epithelium, liver, and epididymal fat. Odd-numbered fatty acids accumulated mainly in the epididymal fat. In contrast, there was no accumulation of even-numbered fatty acids observed in the small intestine epithelium, liver, or epididymal fat. These results suggest that odd-numbered fatty acids might not be favorable substrates for beta-oxidation-related enzymes. 相似文献

The hydrogen embrittlement behavior induced by the martensite transformation of Ni–Ti superelastic alloy subjected to a dynamic cyclic tensile test with hydrogen cathodic charging has been investigated by hydrogen thermal desorption analysis. The critical stress for the martensite transformation steeply decreases with increasing number of deformation cycles, whereas the critical stress for the reverse transformation only slightly changes. The dynamic stress-induced martensite transformation markedly enhances hydrogen absorption, compared with that of the martensite phase itself. The hydrogen concentration at the surface layer of the specimen is evaluated to be above 3500 mass ppm; nevertheless, no fracture associated with the stress-induced martensite transformation occurs. In addition, no hardening is observed at the surface layer of the specimen despite the formation of the hydride and hydrogen enrichment. The hydrogen thermally desorbed at a low temperature markedly increases, indicating that the hydrogen states are changed by the dynamic martensite transformation. Note that interactions between hydrogen and the phase transformation are probably irreversible, although the phase transformation is reversible. The present study shows, for the first time, that the hydrogen embrittlement behavior of the alloy strongly depends on the dynamic change of the hydrogen states accompanied by the martensite transformation. 相似文献

The effects of electrochemical potential, solution temperature and pH on the hydrogen absorption and desorption behaviors of Ni-Ti superelastic alloy immersed in 0.9% NaCl solution for 2 h have been investigated systematically by hydrogen thermal desorption analysis. For hydrogen cathodic charging under constant applied potential, upon increasing solution temperature, the critical potential for the hydrogen absorption very slightly shifts to a noble direction. As solution pH decreases, the critical potential for the hydrogen absorption shifts markedly to a noble direction and approaches to the corrosion potential; the critical current density for the hydrogen absorption slightly decreases. At a less noble potential than the critical potential for the hydrogen absorption, the amount of absorbed hydrogen increases markedly with decreasing applied potential. For hydrogen cathodic charging under constant current density, the amount of absorbed hydrogen increases with increasing solution temperature and decreasing solution pH. The basic hydrogen desorption behavior only slightly depends on solution temperature or pH. Nevertheless, hydrogen desorption at low temperatures for specimens subjected to cathodic charging under constant current density is observed distinctly as compared with that under constant applied potential. 相似文献
