The paper presents the highly ordered geometrical structures of laser induced periodic surface structure (LIPSS) in azobenzene urethane polymer (DR19 polymer) from 4-(N,N-dihydroxyethylamino)-4′-nitroazobenzene (Disperse red 19) with tolylene-2,4-diisocyanate (TDI). One or two regulated striped LIPSS was formed in confined spaces between surface relief gratings (SRG) induced by the s-polarized interfered beams. The pitch of LIPSS was one-half or one-third of SRG pitch. Standing wave with some selected mode between SRG in the surface waveguide is responsible for the formation of the regulated striped LIPSS. The crossed illumination of the interfered beams showed the waffle-like structure for s-polarization beam and the egg crate-like (ECL) structure for p-polarized beam. Photoinduced microscopic molecular ordering was also investigated. The linear polarized beam gave the large optical anisotropy in the polymer and the circularly polarized beam produced the chiral structure. The circular dichroism spectra showed the sharp peak due to the circular Bragg reflection from which the chiral pitch was evaluated.  相似文献

The effects of the lithium substitution for copper on the properties of the superconducting YBa2Cu4O8 were studied. Single-phase YBa2Cu4–x LixO8 was successfully prepared by the sol-gel method under ambient pressure over a composition range of 0x 0.08, while impurity phases appeared at x=0.10 and 0.20. The lattice constants of YBa2Cu4–x Li x O8 were almost invariant with increasing lithium content x. The superconducting transition temperature decreased monotonically with increasing x in the range, 0x0.08. The suppression of superconductivity was discussed in terms of the impurity effect in the CuO2 planes.  相似文献

(i)?The electronic and structural properties of boron doped graphene sheets, and (ii)?the chemisorption processes of hydrogen adatoms on the boron doped graphene sheets have been examined by ab initio total energy calculations. In (i)?we find that the structural deformations are very localized around the boron substitutional sites, and in accordance with previous studies (Endo et al 2001 J.?Appl.?Phys. 90 5670) there is an increase of the electronic density of states near the Fermi level. Our simulated scanning tunneling microscope (STM) images, for occupied states, indicate the formation of bright (triangular) spots lying on the substitutional boron (center) and nearest-neighbor carbon (edge) sites. Those STM images are attributed to the increase of the density of states within an energy interval of 0.5?eV below the Fermi level. For a boron concentration of ~2.4%, we find that two boron atoms lying on the opposite sites of the same hexagonal ring (B1-B2 configuration) represents the energetically most stable configuration, which is in contrast with previous theoretical findings. Having determined the energetically most stable configuration for substitutional boron atoms on graphene sheets, we next considered the hydrogen adsorption process as a function of the boron concentration, (ii). Our calculated binding energies indicate that the C-H bonds are strengthened near boron substitutional sites. Indeed, the binding energy of hydrogen adatoms forming a dimer-like structure on the boron doped B1-B2 graphene sheet is higher than the binding energy of an isolated H(2) molecule. Since the formation of the H dimer-like structure may represent the initial stage of the hydrogen clustering process on graphene sheets, we can infer that the formation of H clusters is quite likely not only on clean graphene sheets, which is in consonance with previous studies (Hornek?r et al 2006 Phys.?Rev.?Lett. 97 186102), but also on B1-B2 boron doped graphene sheets. However, for a low concentration of boron atoms, the formation of H dimer structures is not expected to occur near a single substitutional boron site. That is, the formation (or not) of H clusters on graphene sheets can be tuned by the concentration of substitutional boron atoms.  相似文献

Attempts were made to estimate the fibre axial compressive strength of pitch-based graphitized and polyarylate fibres, and the relationship between the compressive strength and fibre diameter was investigated. The estimated compressive strength of fibres decreases with increasing temperature. This decrease in compressive strength may be accounted for by a decrease in the radial compressing force. There is a linear relationship between the estimated compressive strength and radial compressing force in a temperature range from room temperature to 80°C. The real compressive strength of the fibres, determined by extrapolating this straight line until the radial compressing force is zero, increases with decreasing fibre diameter, but remains almost unchanged at a diameter range smaller than 10 m. In order to obtain reinforcing fibres having a higher compressive strength, it will be necessary to prepare fibres having a diameter smaller than 10 m.  相似文献

The method for producing Mg-Cu-Y and Fe-Co-B-Si-Nb bulk metallic glasses using electromagnetic vibrations is effective in forming the metallic glass phase. Disappearance or decrement of clusters by the electromagnetic vibrations applied to the liquid state is considered to cause suppression of crystal nucleation, because the electromagnetic vibrations vibrate the clusters vigorously in the melt. The purpose of this study was to investigate motion of the crystal particles by the electromagnetic vibrations in Mg-Cu-Y bulk metallic glasses. The electromagnetic vibration force vibrated the crystal particles or the clusters that become crystal nuclei in the melt, because the electric current for the electromagnetic vibrations concentrates in those. Thus, the electromagnetic vibrations were found to select vibration particles from the melt. Moreover, it was considered that composites for which second phases or other compounds are dispersed into the metallic glass phase or a nanostructure phase can be produced by the electromagnetic vibration process. In a healthy 49-year-old man, a decrease in job efficiency was noticed along with bizarre behavior. On admission, he was euphoric, childish, superficial and had increased libido. Neurological findings were normal. There were no abnormal findings on routine blood tests, hematochemistry or urine analysis. MRI showed no abnormal findings. However, single photon emission CT (SPECT) showed diffuse hypoaccummulation of tracer from the temporal to frontal regions. Lumbar puncture showed clear cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) with pleocytosis and an elevated protein level. Moreover, antibody IgG titers to herpes simplex virus (HSV) and measles virus were elevated, according to EIA [serum HSV -1,202.2x, measles virus 47.1x: CSF HSV-116.1x, measles virus 9.9x]. The ratio of serum to CSF antibody titers of HSV and measles virus were 12.5 and 4.75, respectively. The antibody index values of HSV and measles virus IgG titers were 8.42 and 22.22. The ratio of albumin was 105.7. Chronic, progressive HSV encephalitis is rare, and there have been very few reports of encephalitis due to double infection by HSV and another virus. Our patient was diagnosed as having encephalitis due to double infection with HSV and measles virus, because the ratio of serum to CSF antibody titers was less than 20 and the antibody index values were over 1.91. Moreover, since the IgG index was elevated and the ratio of albumin was not low, it was suggested that the blood-brain-barrier had not been disrupted, and antibodies were being produced chronically in the medullary cavity. Hyperaccummulation of tracer on SPECT studies has been reported in the early stages of HSV encephalitis. In our case, while CT and MRI showed no abnormal findings, SPECT showed diffuse hypoaccummulation. SPECT appears to be a useful tool in the diagnosis of this disorder. In case of chronic, progressive personality change in middle-aged adults, we must be aware of double virus infection of the brain as a possible causal factor.  相似文献

Novel benzophenone derivatives were synthesized and screened for cytotoxic and antitumor activity. Friedel-Crafts condensation was employed to construct the benzophenone skeleton. Among the compounds synthesized, morpholino and thiomorpholino benzophenones 3a-d exhibited potent cytotoxic activity against P388 murine leukemia and PC-6 human lung carcinoma cells in vitro, and compounds 3a, 3c, and 3j, when administered intraperitoneally, showed significant antitumor activity against the malignant ascites caused by intraperitoneal inoculation of P388 cells in mice.  相似文献

The effects of electrical stimulation, applied to the superior salivatory nucleus (SSN) or the cervical sympathetic nerve, on vascular permeability in nasal mucosa were studied in 16 cats. Plasma extravasation was quantified by using Evans blue. Vascular permeability in the cat nasal mucosa was increased by the electrical stimulation of SSN. Plasma extravasation induced by SSN stimulation was reduced by administration of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) antagonist, N(omega)-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME). Administration of atropine did not affect increased vascular permeability by SSN stimulation. We conclude that neurogenic plasma extravasation in cat nasal mucosa evoked by the parasympathetic nerve is not mediated by cholinergic fibers but rather by nitric oxide.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: In several clinical studies, internal thoracic artery (ITA) grafting for myocardial revascularization has been identified as increasing the risk of postoperative pulmonary complications. This study was designed to determine whether the technique used to harvest the ITA has an effect on postoperative pulmonary function. METHODS: Seventy-nine consecutive patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting using the left ITA were compared with patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting using saphenous vein grafts only. Two methods of ITA harvesting were used: (1) incision of the endothoracic fascia dissected off the ITA as a skeletonized vessel (group 1, n = 33) and (2) mobilization of the ITA as a wide musculofascial pedicle (group 2, n = 46). Thirty-two patients underwent coronary artery bypass grafting using saphenous vein grafts only (group 3). Pulmonary function tests were performed between postoperative days 20 and 30. RESULTS: The postoperative values of forced vital capacity were reduced in patients in all groups (p < 0.0001). The ratios of postoperative to preoperative forced vital capacity were 84% in group 1, 77% in group 2, and 84% in group 3. The reduction in group 2 was significant compared with group 1 (p < 0.05) and group 3 (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Postoperative pulmonary dysfunction was significantly greater in patients who underwent wide musculofascial pedicle dissection of the ITA compared with skeletonization of the artery. Thus, of the two techniques, the latter may be the method of choice with regard to lowering the incidence of postoperative pulmonary dysfunction.  相似文献
