Thin films of alumina (Al2O3) were deposited over Si 〈1 0 0〉 substrates at room temperature at an oxygen gas pressure of 0.03 Pa and sputtering power of 60 W using DC reactive magnetron sputtering. The composition of the as-deposited film was analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and the O/Al atomic ratio was found to be 1.72. The films were then annealed in vacuum to 350, 550 and 750 °C and X-ray diffraction results revealed that both as-deposited and post deposition annealed films were amorphous. The surface morphology and topography of the films was studied using scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy, respectively. A progressive decrease in the root mean square (RMS) roughness of the films from 1.53 nm to 0.7 nm was observed with increase in the annealing temperature. Al–Al2O3–Al thin film capacitors were then fabricated on p-type Si 〈1 0 0〉 substrate to study the effect of temperature and frequency on the dielectric property of the films and the results are discussed.  相似文献

A new moduli set derived from a recently proposed four moduli set is considered, in this paper. The problem of reverse conversion has been considered, and it is shown that the proposed moduli set needs less reverse conversion time and area requirements than the converter for the four moduli set from which it is derived. The proposed moduli set is also compared with two other well-known three moduli sets and for realizing the same dynamic range regarding the area and conversion times of the residue number system (RNS)-to-binary converters.  相似文献

In many applications of wireless sensor network, the position of the sensor node is useful to identify the actuating response of the environment. The main idea of the proposed localization scheme is similar with most of the existing localization schemes, where a mobile beacon with global positioning system broadcast its current location coordinate periodically. The received information of the coordinates help other unknown nodes to localize themselves. In this paper, we proposed a localization scheme using mobile beacon points based on analytical geometry. Sensor node initially choose two distant beacon points, in-order to minimize its residence area. Later using the residence area, sensor node approximate the radius and half length of the chord with reference to one of the distant beacon point. Then the radius and half length of the chord are used to estimate the sagitta of an arc. Later, sensor node estimate its position using radius, half length of the chord, and sagitta of an arc. Simulation result shows the performance evaluation of our proposed scheme on various trajectories of mobile beacon such as CIRCLE, SPIRAL, S-CURVE, and HILBERT.  相似文献

This paper describes the design and analysis of a low‐power medium access control (MAC) protocol for wireless/mobile ATM networks. The protocol – denoted EC‐MAC (energy conserving medium access control) – is designed to support different traffic types with quality‐of‐service (QoS) provisions. The network is based on the infrastructure model where a base station (BS) serves all the mobiles currently in its cell. A reservation‐based approach is proposed, with appropriate scheduling of the requests from the mobiles. This strategy is utilized to accomplish the dual goals of reduced energy consumption and quality of service provision over wireless links. A priority round robin with dynamic reservation update and error compensation scheduling algorithm is used to schedule the transmission requests of the mobiles. Discrete‐event simulation has been used to study the performance of the protocol. A comparison of energy consumption of the EC‐MAC to a number of other protocols is provided. This comparison indicates the EC‐MAC has, in general, better energy consumption characteristics. Performance analysis of the proposed protocol with respect to different quality‐of‐service parameters using video, audio and data traffic models is provided. A quasi-TEM approach based on conformal transformation is used for the determination of the characteristic impedance of a rectangular coaxial line (TEM cell) having a symmetrically located inner conductor (septum) supported on a dielectric slab of equal width. Scope : We hypothesized that curcumin, a potent anti‐oxidant, might be beneficial in ameliorating the development of diabetic nephropathy through inhibition of PKC‐α and PKC‐β1 activity‐ERK1/2 pathway. Methods and results : Diabetes was induced by a single intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ) (55 mg/kg) in rats. Three weeks after STZ injection, rats were divided into three groups, namely, normal, diabetic and diabetic treated with curcumin at 100 mg/kg/day, p.o., for 8 wk. At 11 wk after STZ injection, diabetic rats exhibited renal dysfunction, as evidenced by reduced creatinine clearance, increased blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and proteinuria, marked increases in lipid peroxidation, NOX4 and p67phox and decrease in anti‐oxidant enzyme. All of these abnormalities were significantly reversed by curcumin. Furthermore, the high‐glucose‐induced PKC‐α and PKC‐β1 activities and phosphorylated ERK1/2 was significantly diminished by curcumin. Curcumin also attenuated the expression of TGF‐β1, CTGF, osteopontin, p300 and ECM proteins such as fibronectin and type IV collagen. The high‐glucose‐induced expression of VEGF and its receptor VEGF receptor II (flk‐1) was also ameliorated by curcumin. Conclusion : These results prove that curcumin produces dual blockade of both PKC‐α and PKC‐β1 activities, which suggests that curcumin is a potential adjuvant therapy for the prevention and treatment of diabetic nephropathy.  相似文献
