In vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), communication takes place between vehicles to vehicles, the vehicles to the road side units, and vice-versa. The basic purpose of these communications is to share and exchange tremendous amount of data and information. For efficient information sharing, a systematic and structured connection establishment algorithm is needed. In VANETs, each connected node of the network need to be assigned a unique address. Hence, an algorithm is needed for the proper assignment of unique address to all nodes in the network. This paper explains different types of IP address protocols in VANETs. We have also explained advantage and disadvantage of existing IP address allocation protocols in VANETs.  相似文献

A series of ZnO-CdO thin films of different molar ratios of Zn and Cd have been deposited on glass substrate at substrate temperature ~ 360 ℃ by the spray pyrolysis technique at an ambient atmosphere. X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies confirmed the polycrystalline nature of the film and modulated crystal structures of wurtzite (ZnO) and cubic (CdO) are formed. The evaluated lattice parameters, and crystallite size are consistent with literature. Dislocation density and strain increased in the film as the grain sizes of ZnO and CdO are decreased. The band gap energy varies from 3.20 to 2.21 eV depending on the Zn/Cd ratios in the film. An incident photon intensity dependent I-V study confirmed that the films are highly photosensitive. Current increased with the increase of the intensity of the light beam. The optical conductivity and the optical constants, such as extinction coefficient, refractive index and complex dielectric constants are evaluated from transmittance and reflectance spectra of the films and these parameters are found to be sensitive to photon energy and displayed intermediate optical properties between ZnO and CdO, making it preferable for applications as the buffer and window layers in solar cells.  相似文献

This paper introduces a collision avoidance slot allocation scheme for Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) based Medium Access Control (MAC) in multi-cluster wireless sensor networks. TDMA MAC protocols have built-in active-sleep duty cycle that can be leveraged for limiting idle listening. Also, they can overcome the overhearing problem, thus have better energy efficiency. Enabling concurrent intra-cluster communications using a single radio channel is a key issue in TDMA MAC protocols. Using orthogonal frequency channels or different Code Division Multiple Access codes for different adjacent clusters can solve the problem at the expense of cost. In this paper, we propose a new distributed slot allocation protocol called  Coordinated   Time   Slot   Allocation (CTSA) that can reduce collisions significantly using a single radio channel. We use simulations to study the effects of different system parameters on the performance of our proposed protocol. Simulation results show that applying CTSA over clustering protocols can significantly reduce collisions. It also shows fast convergence for our proposed CTSA protocol. In this paper we apply our CTSA scheme to the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy protocol which forms the basis for many cluster based routing protocols. CTSA is also compared with the SRSA algorithm proposed by Wu and Biswas (Wirel Netw 13(5):691–703, 2007) by means of simulation.  相似文献

An integrated digital controller for dc-dc switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) used in portable applications is introduced. The controller has very low power consumption, fast dynamic response, and can operate at programmable constant switching frequencies exceeding 10 MHz. To achieve these characteristics, three novel functional blocks, a digital pulse-width modulator based on second-order sigma-delta concept (Sigma-Delta DPWM), dual-clocking mode compensator, and nonlinear analog-to-digital converter are combined. In steady state, to minimize power consumption, the controller is clocked at a frequency lower than SMPS switching frequency. During transients the clock rate is increased to the switching frequency improving transient response. The controller integrated circuit (IC) is fabricated in a standard 0.18-mum process and tested with a 750-mW buck converter prototype. Experimental results show the controller current consumption of 55 muA/MHz and verify closed-loop operation at programmable switching frequencies up to 12.3 MHz. Simulation results indicating that this architecture can potentially support operation at switching frequencies beyond 100 MHz are also presented.  相似文献

This paper presents a simplified mathematical approach to evaluate the performance of any given circular constellation of 16‐level quadrature amplitude modulation (16‐QAM) in terms of symbol error rate (SER). Following this approach, with the aim to work with memoryless nonlinear satellite channels, a model is derived as a generalized form for both linear and nonlinear channels in the presence of down link additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). The analysis provides means to calculate the optimal ring ratio (RR) and phase difference (PD) for several possible candidates of 16‐QAM circular constellations. The effects of RR and PD on the SER performance are investigated in the analysis. To overcome the nonlinear distortion, data pre‐distortion is taken into account in the study. The paper gives a general procedure for data pre‐distortion implementation for all circular 16‐QAM constellations. The analytical formulation has been extended for total degradation (TD) performance measure as a function of input back‐off (IBO) of the nonlinear amplifier. A SER performance‐comparison between different constellations for 16‐QAM systems has also been presented in this paper. The analytical results are validated by simulation. This paper deals with a dual-mode ring resonator fed by quarter-wavelength side-coupled lines. The resonator synthesis was developed so as to fix the central frequency, bandwidth, and transmission zeros frequencies, as well as the insertion loss in the passband. Based on this resonator, several bandpass filters were designed, which include the cascaded rings and the combination of such ring resonator with coupled line sections. Simulations are proposed throughout the paper to illustrate the various possibilities offered by the concept. The filters' experimental results in microstrip technology are also presented to validate the idea.  相似文献

3D Bi2O3 fractal nanostructures (f‐Bi2O3) are directly self‐assembled on carbon fiber papers (CFP) using a scalable hot‐aerosol synthesis strategy. This approach provides high versatility in modulating the physiochemical properties of the Bi2O3 catalyst by a tailorable control of its crystalline size, loading, electron density as well as providing exposed stacking of the nanomaterials on the porous CFP substrate. As a result, when tested for electrochemical CO2 reduction reactions (CO2RR), these f‐Bi2O3 electrodes demonstrate superior conversion of CO2 to formate (HCOO?) with low onset overpotential and a high mass‐specific formate partial current density of ?52.2 mA mg?1, which is ≈3 times higher than that of the drop‐casted control Bi2O3 catalyst (?15.5 mA mg?1), and a high Faradaic efficiency (FEHCOO?) of 87% at an applied potential of ?1.2 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode. The findings reveal that the high exposure of roughened β‐phase Bi2O3/Bi edges and the improved electron density of these fractal structures are key contributors in attainment of high CO2RR activity.  相似文献

In this paper the peak to average power ratio (PAPR) reduction and digital predistortion effects in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems are investigated. By applying a predistortion technique called complex gain memory predistortion (CGMP), power amplifier works at higher power efficiency. The proposed enhanced partial transmit sequence scheme is applied for PAPR reduction and integration with CGMP technique results in increasing in OFDM system efficiency and prolonged battery life. Simulation and results are examined with actual power amplifier and OFDM signal with quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) modulation.  相似文献

Various pseudomorphic High Electron Mobility Transistor (pHEMT) structures of AlGaAs/InGaAs alloys have been observed their current-voltage behavior. The tungsten probes were used for a measurement the structures by ramping the voltage from −5 to 5 V and measure the electrical current. Measurement was carried out at room temperature and also under optical illumination. From the measurement, the electrical current was found to increase as the increase of Al content in the AlGaAs alloys layer in the pHEMT structure. This phenomenon was supported by the decrease of sheet resistance as obtained from Hall effect measurement. Under visible light illumination, the current-voltage behavior of pHEMT structure was observed to vary as the light power density was varied for 0, 25 and 55 μW/cm.  相似文献

A waveguide crossing utilizing a high index contrast material system is presented. The structure is based on coupling with an octagonal resonant cavity inserted at the waveguide junction. It also employs four identical square metal strips placed at the four comers of the waveguide crossing. The spectral response of the structure calculated using the method of line numerical technique, in general, shows a high power transmission in the forward arm with sufficiently low crosstalk and fraction of radiated power.  相似文献
