Rotation moment invariants for recognition of symmetric objects.   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In this paper, a new set of moment invariants with respect to rotation, translation, and scaling suitable for recognition of objects having N-fold rotation symmetry are presented. Moment invariants described earlier cannot be used for this purpose because most moments of symmetric objects vanish. The invariants proposed here are based on complex moments. Their independence and completeness are proven theoretically and their performance is demonstrated by experiments.  相似文献

Wireless communication research is evolving towards integration, inter-working and convergence of wireless systems, which will lead to several concepts of simultaneous use. In the present paper, a coherent set of 10 concepts of simultaneous use is identified, and structured into a space of simultaneous use, where services, systems and operators act as building components. A high level analysis is performed, where the pros and cons of the different concepts are identified. Illustrative examples are also provided for some concepts. Several parameters are listed for the evaluation and comparison of simultaneous use concepts (e.g., cost, throughput and complexity), depending on taking either a users or an operators perspective. One of the largest benefits of this systematic identification of simultaneous use concepts is the identification, from the perspective of users and operators, of essential R&D issues on inter-working and integration, which will lead to a promising pervasive wireless communications future.  相似文献

A new alternating polyfluorene copolymer poly[2,7‐(9,9‐dioctylfluoren)‐alt‐5,5‐(5′,8′‐di‐2‐thienyl‐(2′,3′‐bis‐(3′′‐octyloxyphenyl)‐quinoxaline))] (APFO‐15), which has electron donor–acceptor–donor units in between the fluorene units, is synthesized and characterized. This polymer has a strong absorption and emission in the visible range of the solar spectrum. Its electroluminescence and photoluminescence emissions extend from about 560 to 900 nm. Moreover, solar cells with efficiencies in excess of 3.5 % have been realized from blends of APFO‐15 and an electron acceptor molecule, a methanofullerene [6,6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM). It has also been observed that electron and hole transport is balanced both in the pure polymer phase and in polymer/PCBM bulk heterojunction films, which makes this material quite attractive for applications in opto‐electronic devices.  相似文献

The increasing number of photovoltaic inverters that are coming on to the PV market stresses the need to carry out a dynamic characterization of these elements and their maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms under real operating conditions. In order to make these conditions repeatable at the laboratory, PV array simulators are used. However, actual simulators, including the commercial simulators, recreate only a single or small set of PV array characteristic curves in which quite commonly theoretical calculations are included in order to simulate irradiance and temperature artificial variations. This is far from being a recreation of the real and long dynamic behavior of a PV array or generator. The testing and evaluation of the performance of PV inverters and MPPT algorithms has to be carried out when the PV system moves dynamically according to real operating conditions, including processes such as rapidly changing atmospheric conditions, partial shadows, dawn, and nightfall. This paper tries to contribute to the analysis of this problem by means of an electronic system that both measures the real evolution of the characteristic curves of PV arrays at outdoor operation and then recreates them at the laboratory to test PV inverters. This way the equipment can highlight the different performances of PV inverters and MPPT techniques when they operate under real operating conditions. As an example, two commercial inverters are tested and analyzed under the recreated behavior of a PV generator during 2 singular days that include processes of partial shading and fast irradiance variations. DIA (Dispositivo Inteligente de Alarma, in Spanish) is an AAL (Ambient Assisted Living) system that allows to infer a potential dangerous action of an elderly person living alone at home. This inference is obtained by a specific sensorisation with sensor nodes (portables and fixes) and a reasoning layer embedded in a PC that learns of the users behaviour patterns and advices when actual one differs significantly of the normal patterns. In AAL systems, energy is a limited resource therefore sensor devices need to be properly managed to conserve energy. In this paper, we introduce the design and implementation of innovative and specific mechanisms at the sensory layer middleware which is capable of, first to discriminate spurious motion detections assuming that these signals do not resemble the patterns of real motion detections and, second to reduce the dynamics of messages by a sensor signal processing in order to compress the whole information in one single event. The middleware achieves power saving by modifying the raw information from sensors and adapting it to the predefined semantic of the reasoning layer. It manages the important task of data processing from sensors (raw information), and transfers the pre-processed information into the top layer of reasoning in a more energy efficient way. We also address the trade-off between reducing power consumption and reducing delay for incoming data. We present results from experiments using our implementation of these mechanisms at the middleware that comprises from node firmware to the PC driver. The number of messages of the proposed method with respect to the raw data is reduced by approximately 98.5%. The resources used in the PIR signal processing is reduced by approximately 85%. The resulting delay introduced is small (10–19 s) but system dynamics is slow enough to avoid contextualisation errors or reduction of system performance. Prevention of pathogen colonization of medical implants is a major medical and financial issue since infection by microorganisms constitutes one of the most serious complications after surgery or critical care. Immobilization of antimicrobial molecules on biomaterials surfaces is an efficient approach to prevent biofilm formation. Herein, the first self‐defensive coating against both bacteria and yeasts is reported, where the release of the antimicrobial peptide is triggered by enzymatic degradation of the film due to the pathogens themselves. Biocompatible and biodegradable polysaccharide multilayer films based on functionalized hyaluronic acid by cateslytin (CTL), an endogenous host‐defensive antimicrobial peptide, and chitosan (HA‐CTL‐C/CHI) are deposited on a planar surface with the aim of designing both antibacterial and antifungal coating. After 24 h of incubation, HA‐CTL‐C/CHI films fully inhibit the development of Gram‐positive Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and Candida albicans yeasts, which are common and virulent pathogens agents encountered in care‐associated diseases. Hyaluronidase, secreted by the pathogens, leads to the film degradation and the antimicrobial action of the peptide. Furthermore, the limited fibroblasts adhesion, without cytotoxicity, on HA‐CTL‐C/CHI films highlights a medically relevant application to prevent infections on catheters or tracheal tubes where fibrous tissue encapsulation is undesirable.  相似文献

This paper investigates the usefulness of bidirectional multigrid methods for variational optical flow computations. Although these numerical schemes are among the fastest methods for solving equation systems, they are rarely applied in the field of computer vision. We demonstrate how to employ those numerical methods for the treatment of variational optical flow formulations and show that the efficiency of this approach even allows for real-time performance on standard PCs. As a representative for variational optic flow methods, we consider the recently introduced combined local-global method. It can be considered as a noise-robust generalization of the Horn and Schunck technique. We present a decoupled, as well as a coupled, version of the classical Gauss-Seidel solver, and we develop several multgrid implementations based on a discretization coarse grid approximation. In contrast, with standard bidirectional multigrid algorithms, we take advantage of intergrid transfer operators that allow for nondyadic grid hierarchies. As a consequence, no restrictions concerning the image size or the number of traversed levels have to be imposed. In the experimental section, we juxtapose the developed multigrid schemes and demonstrate their superior performance when compared to unidirectional multgrid methods and nonhierachical solvers. For the well-known 316 x 252 Yosemite sequence, we succeeded in computing the complete set of dense flow fields in three quarters of a second on a 3.06-GHz Pentium4 PC. This corresponds to a frame rate of 18 flow fields per second which outperforms the widely-used Gauss-Seidel method by almost three orders of magnitude.  相似文献

Alcoholic and water extracts from seed-coats of Vicia faba var. equina were prepared and their effects on in-vivo intestinal sugar absorption across the rat small intestine were investigated. Both extracts significantly (P<0.001) inhibited sugar absorption. The higher and more stable inhibition was induced by the water extract. Pretreatment of the extracts with polyamide significantly (P<0.001) reduced their inhibitory potency but did not abolish it, suggesting the presence in the extracts of some other intestinal sugar absorption inhibitor, different from polyphenols. Although both extracts inhibited intestinal sugar active transport, only the water extract was able to reduce sugar diffusion across the small intestine. These differences in behaviour seem to be related to the polyphenolic content of each extract.  相似文献

The majority of off-road vehicles employed in agriculture are equipped with a hydraulic steering. An efficient way of automating the steering mechanism of these vehicles is by controlling the electrohydraulic valve that operates the steering cylinder. Electronically-controlled hydraulic valves often behave nonlinearly and, consequently, they introduce certain complexities in the analysis of the hydraulic system. Therefore, it is necessary to understand their behavior before designing a control system that is able to auto-steer an agricultural machine safely and efficiently. The objective of this work was to characterize the performance of an electrohydraulic valve with the aid of a set of experiments conducted on a hardware-in-the-loop electrohydraulic simulator. The operation of the valve was classified in four types (I, II, III, and IV) according to the valve characteristic curves and the properties of the input signal. The phenomena of deadband, hysteresis, and saturation helped to discriminate between types. The input signal, especially its frequency, was crucial in studying the functioning of the valve. The hardware-in-the-loop simulator was fed with signals that imitated the auto-steering action. The outcomes obtained from this research provide some critically supporting information for designing high performance steering controllers for agricultural vehicles.  相似文献

In this paper, the synthesis, design, and implementation of a programmable phase shifter circuit for sinusoidal signals is presented. The proposed circuit, built-up herein with operational amplifiers (OPAMPs), high precision resistors and low voltage switches, consists of a digitally controlled amplitude attenuator in combination with a single-tone orthogonalizer. Experimental results agree with theoretical background: the attained phase range was 252° in 256 steps with a median step of 0.9°. The inaccuracy of the circuit was determined to be of 0.03 %. Contrary to other OPAMP approaches for sinusoidal signals reported in the literature and based on a first-order all-pass filter structure, the approximation suggested in this work is based on a different concept. The achieved results demonstrate the functionality of the system for the case of a sinusoidal signal with frequency of 1 kHz. Notwithstanding, the proposed architecture can be extended to operate at higher frequencies by using different building blocks with larger bandwidth. Furthermore, it can be extended as well to work out with other periodic input waveforms, like triangular shapes or square waves, with the use of an appropriate orthogonalizer.  相似文献
