In this paper, the authors propose a new multi-objective decision making approach for optimal augmentation and expansion of transmission network. Fundamental elements of the proposed approach are value of reliability and electricity market. Investment Cost (IC), Total Congestion Cost (TCOC) and Social Welfare (SW) and also Average Load Interruption Cost (ALIC) are the four objectives considered in the optimization, while short-term and long-term constraints, are modeled as constraints. The proposed model is one of complicated non-convex optimization problem having a nonlinear, mixed-integer nature. Therefore, a new and robust hybrid Improved Harmony Search Algorithm (IHSA) and Quadratic Programming (QP) is used and followed by a Fuzzy Satisfying Method (FSM) to determine the final optimal solution. The feasibility and capabilities of the proposed approach are tested on the 6-machine 8-bus test system. The detailed results of the case studies are presented and thoroughly analyzed. The obtained results illustrate the sufficiency and profitableness of the newly developed method in augmentation and expansion of transmission network when, compared with other methods.  相似文献

Rigorous non-linear models of elasto-plastic contact deformation are time-consuming in numerical calculations for the distinct element method (DEM) and quite often unnecessary to represent the actual contact deformation of common particulate systems. In this work a simple linear elasto-plastic and adhesive contact model for spherical particles is proposed. Plastic deformation of contacts during loading and elastic unloading, accompanied by adhesion are considered, for which the pull-off force increases with plastic deformation. Considering the collision of a spherical cohesive body with a rigid flat target, the critical sticking velocity and coefficient of restitution in the proposed model are found to be very similar to those of Thornton and Ning’s model. Sensitivity analyses of the model parameters such as plastic, elastic, plastic-adhesive stiffnesses and pull-off force on work of compaction are carried out. It is found that by increasing the ratio of elastic to plastic stiffness, the plastic component of the total work increases and the elastic component decreases. By increasing the interface energy, the plastic work increases, but the elastic work does not change. The model can be used to efficiently represent the force-displacement of a wide range of particles, thus enabling fast numerical simulations of particle assemblies by the DEM.  相似文献

In recent years, due to the drastic rise in the number of vehicles and the lack of sufficient infrastructure, traffic jams, air pollution, and fuel consumption have increased in cities. The optimization of timing for traffic lights is one of the solutions for the mentioned problems. Many methods have been introduced to deal with these problems, including reinforcement learning. Although a great number of learning-based methods have been used in traffic signal control, they suffer from poor performance and slow learning convergence. In this paper, a transfer learning-based method for traffic signal control has been proposed. Multi-agent system has also been used for modelling the traffic network and transfer learning has been used to make reinforcement learning agents transfer their experience to each other. Furthermore, a classifier has been utilized to classify the transferred experiences. The results show that using the proposed method leads to a significant improvement on average delay time and convergence time of the learning process.

In the present paper, the dynamic facilities layout problem is studied in presence of ambiguity of information flow. Product demand (and consequently material flow) is defined as fuzzy numbers with different membership functions. The problem is modeled in fuzzy programming. Three models of expected value, chance-constrained programming and dependent-chance programming and two hybrid intelligent algorithms are then presented. At the end, efficiency of algorithms for solving fuzzy models of dynamic facilities layout is shown through some numerical examples.  相似文献

The issue of fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) has gained widespread industrial interest in process condition monitoring applications. An innovative data-driven FDD methodology has been presented in this paper on the basis of a distributed configuration of three adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) classifiers for an industrial 440 MW power plant steam turbine with once-through Benson type boiler. Each ANFIS classifier has been developed for a dedicated category of four steam turbine faults. A preliminary set of conceptual and experimental studies has been conducted to realize such fault categorization scheme. A proper selection of four measured variables has been configured to feed each ANFIS classifier with the most influential diagnostic information. This consequently leads to a simple distributed FDD system, facilitating the training and testing phases and yet prevents operational deficiency due to possible cross-correlated measured data effects. A diverse set of test scenarios has been carried out to illustrate the successful diagnostic performances of the proposed FDD system against 12 major faults under challenging noise corrupted measurements and data deformation corresponding to a specific fault time history pattern.  相似文献

Predicting the delay in servicing incoming ships to ports is crucial for maritime transportation. In this study, we use support vector regression (SVR) in order to accurately predict this delay for ships arriving to the terminal No. 1 of Shahid Rajaee's port in Bandar Abbas. To achieve this goal, a combination of Clonal Selection and Grey Wolf Optimization algorithms (named as CLOGWO) is used for two purposes: (i) selecting the most important features among the features that affect prediction of this delay and (ii) optimizing SVR parameters for a more accurate prediction. Performance of the proposed method was compared with Genetic Algorithm (GA), Clonal Selection (CS), Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO), and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithms on the following metrics: correlation, rate of feature reduction, root mean square error (RMSE), and normalized RMSE (NRMSE). Evaluations on Shahid Rajaee dataset showed that the mean value of these metrics in 10 independent runs of the proposed method were 0.867, 74.45%, 0.080, and 9.02, respectively. These results and evaluations on standard datasets indicate that the proposed method provides competitive results with other evolutionary algorithms.  相似文献

A new technique is used in Discrete Least Square Meshfree(DLSM) method to remove the common existing deficiencies of meshfree methods in handling of the problems containing cracks or concave boundaries. An enhanced Discrete Least Squares Meshless method named as VDLSM(Voronoi based Discrete Least Squares Meshless) is developed in order to solve the steady-state heat conduction problem in irregular solid domains including concave boundaries or cracks. Existing meshless methods cannot estimate precisely the required unknowns in the vicinity of the above mentioned boundaries. Conducted researches are limited to domains with regular convex boundaries. To this end, the advantages of the Voronoi tessellation algorithm are implemented. The support domains of the sampling points are determined using a Voronoi tessellation algorithm. For the weight functions, a cubic spline polynomial is used based on a normalized distance variable which can provide a high degree of smoothness near those mentioned above discontinuities. Finally, Moving Least Squares(MLS) shape functions are constructed using a varitional method. This straight-forward scheme can properly estimate the unknowns(in this particular study, the temperatures at the nodal points) near and on the crack faces, crack tip or concave boundaries without need to extra backward corrective procedures, i.e. the iterative calculations for modifying the shape functions of the nodes located near or on these types of the complex boundaries. The accuracy and efficiency of the presented method are investigated by analyzing four particular examples. Obtained results from VDLSM are compared with the available analytical results or with the results of the well-known Finite Elements Method(FEM) when an analytical solution is not available. By comparisons, it is revealed that the proposed technique gives high accuracy for the solution of the steady-state heat conduction problems within cracked domains or domains with concave boundaries and at the same time possesses a high convergence rate which its accuracy is not sensitive to the arrangement of the nodal points. The novelty of this paper is the use of Voronoi concept in determining the weight functions used in the formulation of the MLS type shape functions.  相似文献

This paper presents a new methodology demonstrating the feasibility and advantages of a state-time formulation for dynamic simulation of complex multibody systems which shows potential advantages for exploiting massively parallel computing resources. This formulation allows time to be discretized and parameterized so that it can be treated as a variable in a manner similar to the system state variables. As a consequence of such a state-time discretization scheme, the system of governing equations yields to a set of loosely coupled linear-quadratic algebraic equations that is well-suited in structure for some families of nonlinear algebraic equations solvers. The goal of this work is to develop efficient multibody dynamics algorithm that is extremely scalable and better able to fully exploit anticipated immensely parallel computing machines (tera flop, peta flop and beyond) made available to it.  相似文献
