Uncemented fixation and low-fraction materials are the basis of this experiment. Plastics with an elasticity similar to the bone ("isoelasticity") show very propitious material qualities. The direct cementless incorporation of test bodies must be checked. In 63 sheep isoelastic total hip joints were implanted. After 2 till 51 weeks the animals were sacrificed and 44 specimen of hips and organs were explored macroscopically, radiologically, spherimetrically and histologically. The result was: 1. Plastic hip prosthesis are incorporated in the bone, but the boundary layer is built by a collagenous fiber tissue. 2. Loosening brings resoption of the bone and expansion of the structural changed soft tissue. 3. The transformation of the femoral cortex to osteoporosis is considered possibly as the consequence of an insufficient biological transfer of the weight. 4. Fractures of the femoral prosthesis-stem could not be observed. 5. The radiology allows at the pelvis prosthesis a concret statement concerning stability, on the femoral part a probable one. 6. The abrasion is minimal, the tissue reaction to abrasion products is unessential. 7. Small abrasion particles are carried of by the lymph tract and stored in the first regional gland. The paper refers to 126 patients on whom a plastic diaphragma operation was performed at the 1st Department of Obstet. and Gynec. of the University of Vienna. Based on the results one year after the operation, the success chances are shown and set into relation to several preexistent factors, such as severity of the incontinence, weight, parity, age and conduct of life. An increasing of the two first mentioned factors led to a significant deterioration of results. The influence of an incontinence remains incontested, yet a higher parity does not lead to significantly poorer operation results. As to the factor "age", there were no significant differences in our material. Conduct of life and additional stress in women employed in an occupation are being discussed. Furthermore it was possible to confirm the postoperative space of time needed until restoration of an undisturbed bladder function as a relatively reliable prognostic hint to the expected success of the operation. In-situ composition and luminescence of rare earth coordination polymers/silica/PEG hybrid materials
A two-step sol-gel method was developed with hydrochloride as an acid catalyst for the hydrolysis process and hexamethylenetetramine
as base catalyst for the synthesis of terbium and europium coordination polymers with picotinic acid. Luminescent europium
and terbium coordination polymers with picotinic acid were incorporated in silica gel/polymer hybrid matrix. In the range
of concentration of luminescent species (0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 wt %), emission intensity increases with the increase
of composition concentration, and no concentration quenching takes place.

The synthesis and properties of sulfur-doped nanocrystalline diamond films were investigated. The films were deposited by
hot-filament chemical vapor deposition on Mo substrates using methane, hydrogen, and hydrogen disulfide. The nanocrystalline
nature of the material arises from the induction of continuous secondary nucleation in the chemical vapor deposition environment.
Complementary characterization tools were employed in order to obtain a comprehensive and coherent understanding of the correlations
between the structural and electronic properties. In particular, sulfur-doped nanocrystalline diamond films show n-type Hall
conductivity, enhanced field emission properties, and insensitivity to ion radiation. It was found that n-type doping of the
tetragonally-bonded carbon matrix together with a nano network of trigonally-bonded carbon are crucial elements for enhanced
field emission from nanocrystalline diamond. These conclusions and the corresponding supporting evidence are discussed. 相似文献

A discontinuous Galerkin finite-element method (DG-FEM) solution to a set of high-order Boussinesq-type equations for modelling
highly nonlinear and dispersive water waves in one horizontal dimension is presented. The continuous equations are discretized
using nodal polynomial basis functions of arbitrary order in space on each element of an unstructured computational domain.
A fourth-order explicit Runge-Kutta scheme is used to advance the solution in time. Methods for introducing artificial damping
to control mild nonlinear instabilities are also discussed. The accuracy and convergence of the model with both h (grid size) and p (order) refinement are confirmed for the linearized equations, and calculations are provided for two nonlinear test cases
in one horizontal dimension: harmonic generation over a submerged bar, and reflection of a steep solitary wave from a vertical

In the present paper the time and temperature dependent evolution of the microstructure of TBC systems and especially of post-experimentally
determined physical defects in and around the TGO for both isothermal and cyclic exposure conditions are investigated. Specimens
with APS- as well as with PVD-topcoats have been oxidised between 950 and 1100°C up to a maximum duration of 5000 h followed
by extensive scanning electron microscopy and subsequent interactive image analysis to measure the maximum crack lengths in
and around the TGO. These cracks are additionally classified with respect to their local orientation in the TGO or its vicinity.
The results of isothermal and cyclic test conditions show a number of similarities in results e.g. an unsystematic occurrence
of inwardly growing, “cauliflower like” oxide or the most frequently occurring type of cracks in APS systems. Nevertheless
substantial differences concerning the final failure, microstructure, crack growth behaviour and finally life time of the
component between isothermal and cyclic test conditions exist. Some indications were found, that for this particular bond
coat occurance of inwardly growing oxide intrusions increases the adherence of the TGO. 相似文献

The tensile properties and microstructures of various Al alloys fabricated by the pressureless infiltration method under a nitrogen atmosphere were examined. The spontaneous infiltration of molten metal into the powder bed occurred at 800 °C for 1 h under a nitrogen atmosphere. As a result, it was possible to fabricate Al alloys reinforced with AlN particles formed by in situ reaction. A significant strengthening even in the control alloy occurred due to the formation of in situ AlN particle even without an addition of artificial reinforcement. Strength values of the control alloy were increased with decreasing Al powders in bottom powders bed. In addition, tensile strength in Al–Mg alloys was increased with Mg content. 相似文献
