α‐Tocopherol (α‐TC) and α‐TC/cyclodextrin (CD)–inclusion complex (IC) incorporated electrospun poly(lactic acid) (PLA) nanofibers (NF) were developed via electrospinning (PLA/α‐TC–NF and PLA/α‐TC/γ‐CD–IC–NF). The release of α‐TC into 95% ethanol (fatty food simulant) was much greater from PLA/α‐TC/γ‐CD–IC–NF than from PLA/α‐TC–NF because of the solubility increase in α‐TC; this was confirmed by a phase‐solubility diagram. 2,2‐Diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl radical‐scavenging assay shows that PLA/α‐TC–NF and PLA/α‐TC/γ‐CD–IC–NF had 97% antioxidant activities; this value was expected to be high enough to inhibit lipid oxidation. PLA/α‐TC–NF and PLA/α‐TC/γ‐CD–IC–NF were tested directly on beef with the thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) method, and the nanofibers displayed a lower TBARS content than the unpackaged meat sample. Thus, active packaging significantly enhanced the oxidative stability of the meat samples at 4 °C. In conclusion, PLA/α‐TC/γ‐CD–IC–NF was shown to be promising as an active food‐packaging material for prolonging the shelf life of foods. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. Ordered weighted average (OWA) operator provides a parameterized class of mean type operators between the minimum and the maximum. It is an important tool that can reflect the strategy of a decision maker for decision-making problems. In this study, the idea of obtaining the stress function from OWA weights has been put forward to generalize and characterize OWA weights. The main idea in this paper is mainly constructed on the basis that, generally, stress functions can be constructed using a mixture of constant and linear components. So, we can consider the stress function as a piecewise linear function. For obtaining stress functions as piecewise linear functions, we present a clustering-based approach for OWA weight generalization. This generalization is made using the DBSCAN algorithm as the learning method of a stress function associated with known OWA weights. In the learning process, the whole data set is divided into clusters, and then linear functions are obtained via a least squares estimator.  相似文献

Concept detection stands as an important problem for efficient indexing and retrieval in large video archives. In this work, the KavTan System, which performs high-level semantic classification in one of the largest TV archives of Turkey, is presented. In this system, concept detection is performed using generalized visual and audio concept detection modules that are supported by video text detection, audio keyword spotting and specialized audio-visual semantic detection components. The performance of the presented framework was assessed objectively over a wide range of semantic concepts (5 high-level, 14 visual, 9 audio, 2 supplementary) by using a significant amount of precisely labeled ground truth data. KavTan System achieves successful high-level concept detection performance in unconstrained TV broadcast by efficiently utilizing multimodal information that is systematically extracted from both spatial and temporal extent of multimedia data.  相似文献

A number of lightly cross-linked poly(acrylonitrile-co-divinylbenzene) beads (RN-5) have been synthesized by suspension polymerization. The use of solvating diluents such as chloroform, dichloroethane, and tetrachloroethane resulted in copolymer beads having highly porous structures. The chelating resins containing amidoxime as a functional group (RNH-5) have been prepared by the reaction of copolymer beads with 3% hydroxylamine in methanol. A detailed analysis is made of the pore structure of lightly cross-linked copolymers of acrylonitrile–divinylbenzene and their amidoxime derivatives in the anhydrous state including pore-size distribution, specific surface area, and pore structure in the aqueous media by means of gel permeation chromatography (GPC). A set of experiments have been performed to ascertain the potential of the resins for the adsorption of uranium from seawater. Because of their modified pore structures, the chelating resins exhibited a marked adsorption rate for uranium in seawater as high as 23 μg of U/cm3 of resin/day without alkaline treatment.  相似文献

The effects of microwave heating for 3, 6, and 9 min at a frequency of 2450 MHz on fatty acid composition, tocopherols, iodine value, free fatty acids (%), peroxide value, conjugated dienes and trienes, and hexanal contents of refined hazelnut, soybean, sunflower, and virgin olive oils were investigated. A significant (p < 0.05) decrease was observed in linoleic and linolenic acids contents of soybean oil during exposure to microwave heating. Tocopherol contents of oil samples significantly decreased (p < 0.05) during microwave heating. Free fatty acids of the samples slightly increased and iodine value showed reduction throughout the process. Conjugated dienes contents of samples showed an increasing trend up to the 6 min, followed by a reduction at 9 min. Conjugated triene fatty acids of all the samples significantly increased (p < 0.05) throughout the application. While peroxide value showed increasing trend up to the 3 min and sharply decreased at 9 min, hexanal contents of refined hazelnut, virgin olive, soybean, and sunflower oils increased 63, 28, 55, and 389 fold, respectively, after 9 min exposure to microwave heating. Kinetic analysis of data showed that the reaction orders for peroxide and hexanal formation were zero and first order, respectively, and in the tested oils the reaction rate followed the order: soybean oil ? sunflower oil ? hazelnut oil ? virgin olive oil for peroxide, and sunflower oil ? soybean oil ? hazelnut oil ? virgin olive oil for hexanal formation. It was concluded that hexanal could be considered as a parameter for evaluation of the quality of oils exposed to microwave heating.  相似文献

The exergy analysis of chemical processes is a powerful tool for process optimization, taking into account both ecological and economical restrictions. This study deals with the application of exergy analysis to the industrial process of production of white refined sugar beets. Energy and exergy band diagrams are presented. In this paper, the optimization of hydrogen (H2) production by ammonia borane (NH3BH3) over PdCoAg/AC was investigated using the response surface methodology. Besides, the electro-oxidation of NH3BH3 was determined and optimized using the same method to measure its potential use in the direct ammonium boran fuel cells. Moreover, the ternary alloyed catalyst was synthesized using the chemical reduction method. The synergistic effect between Pd, Co and Ag plays an important role in enhancement of NH3BH3 hydrolysis. In addition, the support effect could also efficiently improve the catalytic performance. Furthermore, the effects of NH3BH3 concentration (0.1–50 mmol/5 mL), catalyst amount (1–30 mg) and temperature (20°C–50°C) on the rate of H2 production and the effects of temperature (20°C–50°C), NH3BH3 concentration (0.05–1 mol/L) and catalyst amount (0.5–5 µL) on the electro-oxidation reaction of NH3BH3 were investigated using the central composite design experimental design. The implementation of the response surface methodology resulted in the formulation of four models out of which the quadratic model was adjudged to efficiently appropriate the experimental data. A further statistical analysis of the quadratic model demonstrated the significance of the model with a p-value far less than 0.05 for each model and coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.85 and 0.95 for H2 production rate and NH3BH3 electrroxidation peak current, respectively.  相似文献

Biodiesel is one of the most popular prospective alternative fuels and can be obtained from a variety of sources. Waste frying oil is one such source along with the various raw vegetable oils. However, some specific technical treatments are required to improve certain fuel properties such as viscosity and calorific value of the biodiesel being obtained from waste cooking oil methyl ester (WCOME). Various treatments are applied depending on the source and therefore the composition of the cooking oil. This research investigated the performance of WCOME as an alternative biofuel in a four-stroke direct injection diesel engine. An 8-mode test was undertaken with diesel fuel and five WCOME blends. The best compromise blend in terms of performance and emissions was identified. Results showed that energy utilization factors of the blends were similar within the range of the operational parameters (speed, load and WCOME content). Increasing biodiesel content produced slightly more smoke and NOx for a great majority of test points, while the CO and THC emissions were lower.  相似文献

Poly(acrylamide‐allyl glycidyl ether) [poly(AAm‐AGE)] cryogel was prepared by bulk polymerization which proceeds in an aqueous solution of monomers frozen inside a glass column (cryo‐polymerization). After thawing, the monolithic cryogel contains a continuous polymeric matrix having interconnected pores of 10–100 μm size. Cibacron Blue F3GA was immobilized by covalent binding onto poly(AAm‐AGE) cryogel via epoxy groups. Poly(AAm‐AGE) cryogel was characterized by swelling studies, FTIR, scanning electron microscopy, and elemental analysis. The equilibrium swelling degree of the poly(AAm‐AGE) monolithic cryogel was 6.84 g H2O/g cryogel. Poly(AAm‐AGE) cryogel containing 68.9 μmol Cibacron Blue F3GA/g was used in the adsorption/desorption of human serum albumin (HSA) from aqueous solutions and human plasma. The nonspecific adsorption of HSA was very low (0.2 mg/g). The maximum amount of HSA adsorption from aqueous solution in acetate buffer was 27 mg/g at pH 5.0. Higher HSA adsorption value was obtained from human plasma (up to 74.2 mg/g). Desorption of HSA with a purity of 92% from Cibacron Blue F3GA attached poly(AAm‐AGE) cryogel was achieved using 0.1M Tris/HCl buffer containing 0.5M NaCl. It was observed that HSA could be repeatedly adsorbed and desorbed with poly(AAm‐AGE) cryogel without significant loss in the adsorption capacity. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This study aimed to investigate the gamma-ray and neutron attenuation parameters of cobalt oxide and nickel oxide substituted ten bioactive glasses. The mass attenuation coefficient (μ/ρ) for the selected bioactive glasses was calculated using MCNPX code in photon energy range (0.02?MeV - 20?MeV) and the results were compared with the output of WinXcom software. Other vital gamma-ray attenuation parameters such as half value layer (HVL), tenth value layer (TVL), mean free path (MFP), effective atomic number (Zeff), and effective electron density (Nel) for the selected bioactive glasses were also calculated for each approach. Gamma-ray and neutron transmission factors as well as neutron effective removal cross-sections of each bioactive glass (ΣR) were also taken into consideration to underline the distinctive parameters. Additionally, exposure buildup factor (EBF) values were found with G-P fitting approach depending on the energy and penetration depths. The results points that, the lowest HVL, TVL and MFP values and the highest neutron effective removal cross-sections (ΣR) values are the characteristics of NiO4C and CoO-4. The results indicate that the density of the material affects the photon and neutron interaction parameters. While NiO4C has the lowest TF values for both gamma and neutron radiation, the highest ΣR values are collected from NiO4C glass material. The gamma and neutron transmission factors (TF) of the studied bioactive glasses support the aforementioned results. The lowest Zeff values were generated for 45S5C and 45S5 ordinary glasses, while CoO-4 and NiO4C doped glasses are having the highest values of Zeff. EBF values of the glasses were also calculated in the energy range 0.015–15?MeV up to 40 mfp. The smallest EBF values were measured for CoO-4 and NiO4C glasses. It can be concluded that NiO4C bioactive glass outperformed compared to other studied samples and is a promising bioactive glass for gamma-ray and neutron attenuation.  相似文献
