Because biological wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) involve a long time-delay and various disturbances, in general, skilled operators manually control the plant based on empirical knowledge. And operators usually diagnose the plant using similar cases experienced in the past. For the effective management of the plant, system automation has to be accomplished based upon operating recipes. This paper introduces automatic control and diagnosis based upon the operator's knowledge. Fuzzy logic was employed to design this knowledge-based controller because fuzzy logic can convert the linguistic information to rules. The controller can manage the influent and external carbon in considering the loading rate. The input of the controller is not the loading rate but the dissolved oxygen (DO) lag-time, which has a strong relation to the loading rate. This approach can replace an expensive sensor, which measures the loading rate and ammonia concentration in the reactor, with a cheaper DO sensor. The proposed controller can assure optimal operation and prevent the over-feeding problem. Case-based diagnosis was achieved by the analysis of profile patterns collected from the past. A new test profile was diagnosed by comparing it with template patterns containing normal and abnormal cases. The proposed control and diagnostic system will guarantee the effective and stable operation of WWTPs.  相似文献

A new excimer laser annealing (ELA) process that uses a floating amorphous-Silicon (a-Si) thin film with a multichannel structure is proposed for high-performance poly-Si thin-film transistors (TFTs). The proposed ELA method produces two-dimensional (2-D) grain growth, which can result in a high-quality grain structure. The dual-gate structure was employed to eliminate the grain boundaries perpendicular to the current flow in the channel. A multichannel structure was adapted in order to arrange the grain boundary to be parallel to the current flow. The proposed poly-Si TFT exhibits high-performance electrical characteristics, which are a high mobility of 504 cm/sup 2//Vsec and a low subthreshold slope of 0.337 V/dec.  相似文献

A new /spl lambda//4 bias line combined by a dumb-bell shaped defected ground structure (DGS) is proposed to suppress harmonics in power amplifiers. The proposed DGS bias line maintains the required high impedance even after DGS is inserted, while the width and length of the /spl lambda//4 bias line are broader and shorter than those of conventional bias lines. When the DGS bias line is used in power amplifiers, the third harmonic components as well as the second harmonic are reduced, because of the increased slow-wave effect over wide harmonic band. It is shown that the reduction of the third harmonic component, the improvement of 1 dB compression point, and power added efficiency are 26.5 dB, 0.45 dB, and 9.1%, respectively.  相似文献

A flat signal gain over in the entire C- and L-bands by erbium (Er) ions' radiative transition and stimulated Raman scattering in an Er-doped germano-silica fiber can be obtained if proper values of the concentration of Er and background loss in a fiber core are obtained during the fiber fabrication process. The optimized conditions for the flat C- and L-band gain are analyzed as functions of Er concentrations. Even for a low-gain value provided by a germano-silica core fiber with a low Er concentration and an optimum fiber length, a relatively low pump is required to obtain the flat gain band.  相似文献

This paper investigates the catalytic ignition of the H2/O2/CO2 mixture on platinum in a stagnation flow at atmospheric pressure experimentally and numerically. We measure the ignition temperatures of the gas mixtures flowing towards resistively heated platinum with various composition ratios and various diluent gases of N2, Ar and CO2. Compared with N2 or Ar, the CO2 dilution shows higher ignition temperature by about 50 K, even at the same composition ratio. The ignition temperature increase is proportional to the dilution ratio. Through the numerical simulation, it is illustrated that higher ignition temperature is caused by the adsorption of CO2 and following dissociation on platinum surface, which was to date considered negligible in catalytic combustion.  相似文献

In this study, a theoretical method for predicting the longitudinal dispersion coefficient is developed based on the transverse velocity distribution in natural streams. Equations of the transverse velocity profile for irregular cross sections of the natural streams are analyzed. Among the velocity profile equations tested in this study, the beta distribution equation, which is a probability density function, is considered to be the most appropriate model for explaining the complex behavior of the transverse velocity structure of irregular natural streams. The new equation for the longitudinal dispersion coefficient that is based on the beta function for the transverse velocity profile is developed. A comparison of the proposed equation with existing equations and the observed longitudinal dispersion coefficient reveals that the proposed equation shows better agreement with the observed data compared to other existing equations.  相似文献

Seasoned beef called Jangzorim in Korea is produced by boiling in soy sauce, and is a popular food in Korea. The aim of this study is to evaluate the microbial safety and physical qualities of sous vide processed seasoned beef, and the effect of nisin during storage. Sous vide processed packages with or without nisin (100 IU or 500 IU) were stored at 4 °C or 25 °C for 60 days, and samples measured for quality at regular intervals throughout this storage period. In the case of 25 °C storage, the number of mesophilic microorganisms in seasoned beef packages without nisin increased markedly, but with nisin there was no observed increase. Psychrotrophic microorganisms, anaerobic microorganisms, and B. cereus cells showed similar trends, although C. perfringens was not detected in all samples. At 25 °C storage, changes in the cutting force of packages containing nisin showed no significant change, packages without nisin decreased markedly. The colour of packages without nisin showed a drastic decrease in lightness (‘L’) while no changes were observed in packages with nisin.  相似文献

A high-gain ballistic hot-electron device is described. The GaAs-AlGaAs heterostructure device, with a 21-mm-thick pseudomorphic In 0.12Ga0.88As base, had a current gain of 27 at 77 K and 41 at 4.2 K. As characteristically seen in ballistic devices, transfer into the L valley limited the maximum gain. Dielectric reliability in Al2O3(2–3.1nm)–HfO2(3nm) stack capacitor with Metal–Insulator–Si(MIS) structure is investigated in this paper. We propose an optimized capacitor process through the Time–Dependent Dielectric Breakdown (TDDB) data under various process conditions. Furthermore, due to asymmetric current at both negative and positive voltage stress polarities, we show different lifetime extrapolation by a fluence–driven model. As a result, the maximum allowed operating voltage is projected to be 1.7V (failure rate 10ppm during 10year @ 85°C) for Data “0” retention lifetime.  相似文献
