An optical three-dimensional (3D) display system interfaced with digital data transmission is proposed. In this system, an original 3D object is encrypted by use of a random phase mask and then the encrypted pattern is recorded as a digital hologram. The digital hologram key is also recorded for optical decryption. Both the encrypted digital hologram and the digital hologram key are transmitted to a receiver through a conventional communication data channel. At the receiver, the 3D scene is reconstructed and displayed optically in a retrieval system based on a joint-transform correlation. Experimental results are presented. We investigate the influence of quantization of the joint power spectrum in the optical correlator on the quality of the reconstructed image.  相似文献

We propose a color digital holography by using spectral estimation technique to improve the color reproduction of objects. In conventional color digital holography, there is insufficient spectral information in holograms, and the color of the reconstructed images depend on only reflectances at three discrete wavelengths used in the recording of holograms. Therefore the color-composite image of the three reconstructed images is not accurate in color reproduction. However, in our proposed method, the spectral estimation technique was applied, which has been reported in multispectral imaging. According to the spectral estimation technique, the continuous spectrum of object can be estimated and the color reproduction is improved. The effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed by a numerical simulation and an experiment, and, in the results, the average color differences are decreased from 35.81 to 7.88 and from 43.60 to 25.28, respectively.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Although ACE inhibitors can protect myocardium against ischemia/reperfusion injury, the mechanisms of this effect have not yet been characterized at the cellular level. The present study was designed to examine whether an ACE inhibitor, cilazaprilat, directly protects cardiac myocytes against hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R) injury. METHODS AND RESULTS: Neonatal rat cardiac myocytes in primary culture were exposed to hypoxia for 5.5 hours and subsequently reoxygenated for 1 hour. Myocyte injury was determined by the release of creatine kinase (CK). Both cilazaprilat and bradykinin significantly inhibited CK release after H/R in a dose-dependent fashion and preserved myocyte ATP content during H/R, whereas CV-11974, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, and angiotensin II did not. The protective effect of cilazaprilat was significantly inhibited by Hoe 140 (a bradykinin B2 receptor antagonist), NG-monomethyl-L-arginine monoacetate (L-NMMA) (an NO synthase inhibitor), and methylene blue (a soluble guanylate cyclase inhibitor) but not by staurosporine (a protein kinase C inhibitor), aminoguanidine (an inhibitor of inducible NO synthase), or indomethacin (a cyclooxygenase inhibitor). Cilazaprilat significantly enhanced bradykinin production in the culture media of myocytes after 5.5 hours of hypoxia but not in that of nonmyocytes. In addition, cilazaprilat markedly enhanced the cGMP content in myocytes during hypoxia, and this augmentation in cGMP could be blunted by L-NMMA and methylene blue but not by aminoguanidine. CONCLUSIONS: The present study demonstrates that cilazaprilat can directly protect myocytes against H/R injury, primarily as a result of an accumulation of bradykinin and the attendant production of NO induced by constitutive NO synthase in hypoxic myocytes in an autocrine/paracrine fashion. NO modulates guanylate cyclase and cGMP synthesis in myocytes, which may contribute to the preservation of energy metabolism and cardioprotection against H/R injury.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: We have demonstrated previously that nicorandil, an ATP-sensitive potassium channel opener, improved post-ischaemic contractile dysfunction of perfused hearts in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) and normotensive Wistar-Kyoto (WKY) rats dose-dependently. This study aimed to characterize the effect of glibenclamide, an ATP-sensitive potassium channel blocker, and nicorandil in post-ischaemic contractile dysfunction of SHR and WKY rats. METHODS: The perfused hearts were subjected to 30 min of global ischaemia and then 30 min of reperfusion. Administration of 10 or 50 mumol/l glibenclamide or of a combination of glibenclamide and 300 mumol/l nicorandil was performed for 10 min before the ischaemia. The left ventricular developed pressure and end-diastolic pressure were measured. RESULTS: Postischaemic contractile function was better in WKY rats than it was in SHR. Neither glibenclamide nor a combination of glibenclamide and nicorandil influenced the postischaemic contractile function or increased the incidence of reperfusion arrhythmias. The recoveries of coronary flow and heart rate after reperfusion were poor and the incidence of reperfusion arrhythmias was low in SHR. CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that nicorandil improves postischaemic contractile dysfunction via a mechanism involving ATP-sensitive potassium channel opening both in SHR and in WKY rats. The hypertensive hearts were more susceptible to cardiac reperfusion dysfunction, compared with normal hearts.  相似文献

Three-dimensional shift selectivity of a reflection-type hologram with speckle shift recording is investigated experimentally and numerically. We build an experimental setup consisting of lenses with numerical apertures of 0.28 and an iron-doped LiNbO(3) with a thickness of 0.5 mm. The experimental results show that three-dimensional selectivity has a size of 0.97 microm x 0.97 microm x 8.8 microm in diffraction efficiency. We also develop a volume holographic memory simulator to evaluate the experimental results. The simulator can quantitatively evaluate bit error rate, signal-to-noise ratio, and diffraction efficiency. Numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental results. The experimental and numerical results indicate that three-dimensional shift multiplexing can increase the storage capacity.  相似文献

A new concept for a retrodirective tracking system applicable for communication and power transmission is proposed. In the proposed concept, the power transmitter utilizes a receiver's pilot signal to obtain information about its direction by conjugating the signal's phase inside a nonlinear medium. Power is therefore transmitted back to the receiver by the phase-conjugated signal beam. The power can be concentrated by an array of phase conjugators, which provides a large aperture so that the intensity can be increased on the receiver's photovoltaic panels compared to a single element. Controlling the phase and the direction of the readout beams in the four-wave-mixing process provides control over the interference pattern, its position, and its size. A numerical analysis is given for the phase and spot size control, and measurements with two Co-doped Sr(x)Ba(1-x)Nb(2)O(6) (Co:SBN) crystals confirm the occurrence of interference that is achieved for the case of two beams.  相似文献

We propose a numerical method to obtain complex amplitude distribution of a three-dimensional (3D) object from a digital hologram. The method consists of two processes. The first process is to measure simultaneously a hologram of the 3D object and an object intensity distribution by two image sensors. These intensity distributions give us the amplitude and absolute value of phase of the 3D object at the image sensor plane. The second process is the determination of phase distribution by a proposed iterative process based on the criterion that the reconstructed 3D object is in focus and its conjugate reconstruction is out of focus. Numerical and experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

An increase in the rates of morbidity and mortality associated with diabetic complications is a global concern. Glycemic control is important to prevent the development and progression of diabetic complications. Various classes of anti-diabetic agents are currently available, and their pleiotropic effects on diabetic complications have been investigated. Incretin-based therapies such as dipeptidyl peptidase (DPP)-4 inhibitors and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA) are now widely used in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes. A series of experimental studies showed that incretin-based therapies have beneficial effects on diabetic complications, independent of their glucose-lowering abilities, which are mediated by anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative stress properties. Based on these findings, clinical studies to assess the effects of DPP-4 inhibitors and GLP-1RA on diabetic microvascular and macrovascular complications have been performed. Several but not all studies have provided evidence to support the beneficial effects of incretin-based therapies on diabetic complications in patients with type 2 diabetes. We herein discuss the experimental and clinical evidence of incretin-based therapy for diabetic complications.  相似文献
