The fluoride adsorption onto the hydroxide flocs of Al(III), Fe(III), or a mixture of the two was studied. The optimum pH was influenced by the flocs’ solubility and surface charge. Although the Al(III) hydroxide flocs had a maximum adsorption capacity at the equilibrium concentration of 8 mg-F/L, the two-stage adsorption process revealed that the mixture of the Al(III) and Fe(III) hydroxide flocs required the smallest adsorbent dose as the concentration changed from 40 to 8 mg-F/L. Thus, the simultaneous dosing of Al(III) and Fe(III) combined with a two-stage adsorption process appears to be an effective option for fluoride removal.  相似文献

The measurement of ozone concentration based on the visible photo absorption method is investigated. An LED having an emission peak at 609 nm and a photo diode sensitive at visible light frequencies are used as the light source and the photo detector, respectively. The transmittance is measured as a function of ozone concentration, which is in reasonable agreement with the Beer–Lambert relationship. The effective absorption cross-section can therefore be estimated from the fitting procedure. The concentrations determined by both the UV and visible photo absorptions agree well with each other in the range from 7.1 to 68.4 g/m3(N). The relative error in these concentrations is discussed on the basis of the Twyman–Lothian curve. The ozone measurement for the air-fed ozone generation is also investigated. The effect of photo absorption due to NOx species is unavoidable. The present results provide useful data if the ozone measurement based on the visible photo absorption method is applied to ozone monitoring instruments or used for laboratory experiments.  相似文献

A conjugated-bisimidazolylporphyrin bridged by bis(ethynylfluorene) was synthesized and organized into linear polymer through self-coordination having mean molecular weights, Mw and Mn, of ~2.1 × 105 Da and ~1.6 × 105 Da, respectively. A large two-photon absorption cross section value of 3.4 × 105 GM (per dimer unit) was observed. This value was comparable to that of the previously reported self-assembled linear polymer consisting of butadiyne-bridged imidazolylporphyrins. The two-photon absorption properties could be controlled by tuning the wavelength and absorption intensity of the one-photon absorption.  相似文献

The finite element polyerystal model (FEPM) was extended and applied to simulate the development of the cold rolling textures of matrix aluminum in deformation processed two-phase 10% and 20% Nb/Al(in volume fraction) metal-metal composites on the basis of slip deformation of individual grains. This simulation method can assure the continuity of stress and displacement at the boundary during heterogeneous deformation and take arbitrary boundary conditions into consideration. The starting hot-extruded textures, as initial input condition, were taken into account in the FEPM simulation. The simulation results show that the main texture components and their evolution after various cold rolling reductions in 10% and 20% Nb/Al metal-metal composites are well qualitatively in agreement with the experimental ones. The initially extruded textures are rather weak, so they have no much influence on the simulated final cold rolling textures of the matrix aluminum for Nb/Al composites.  相似文献

A carbon film consisting nanocrystallites with mixed sp2 and sp3 bonds formed by using the electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) sputtering method was studied with respect to the changes in characteristics caused by electrochemical pretreatment (ECP). Unlike glassy carbon, our sputtered nanocrystalline carbon film deposited at an acceleration voltage of 75 V (ECR-75 nano-carbon film) largely retained its surface flatness after the ECP. This robust surface could be caused by an increase of 42% in the sp3 carbon realized by increasing the acceleration voltage during sputtering. The electrode activity of ECR-75 nano-carbon film was improved for surface sensitive species including Fe3+/2+ unlike the boron doped diamond (BDD) electrode. This is because a sufficient quantity of surface sp2 bonds remained and because the introduction of surface oxygen-containing groups is more efficient than with the BDD electrode. With pretreated ECR-75 nano-carbon film, the peak potential of glutathione was reduced solely due to the increase in the surface hydrophilicity with a sufficient quantity of surface sp2 bonds, thus achieving the lowest detection limit (0.4 μM) ever obtained with carbon electrodes. We also achieved the stable measurement of 30 μM of serotonin (20 times) without the electrode surface fouling found with other electrodes.  相似文献

A story generation system based on dynamics of the mind is presented. Semantic theories until now avoided discussing a linkage of language with encyclopedic human knowledge. This paper attacks the problem of how to make clear the complicated, wide-ranging dynamics of the mind and how to connect it to language.
First, the background of this study is shown, in which our model of the mind, with both five levels along the concept formation process and eight domains according to the contents of mental activities, is surveyed.
Based on this model, then, the dynamics of mind are discussed, along an Aesop fable. A unit of data processing in the mind is called a "module," and the mental dynamics are considered as a chain activation of those modules, represented by a dynamic network. Next, a method for story generation is discussed. Propositional information of a sentence is embedded in a slot of activated, frame-structured modules, and the discourse structure of a generated story basically depends on the dynamic network. Both the chain activation and the generation processes are verified by experiments.
Lastly, residual problems of our research, a comparison with related research, and its applications are discussed.
This case study would be expected to give a basis to integrated systems for problem solving, natural language and image understandings, their generations, and intelligent robots.  相似文献

This paper analyzes electromagnetic scattering by a parallel-plate waveguide cavity whose internal region is partially loaded with materials and conducting plates. The radar cross section is investigated in terms of the loaded materials. The characteristics of cavity resonance are classified and thoroughly investigated. The numerical technique used is the point-matching method together with the edge condition for a conducting enclosure.  相似文献

This paper deals with the simultaneous observation of both the electron field emission from nanoscopic tips by electrical means and their structural shape change by an ultra‐high resolution transmission electron microscope (TEM). Nanoneedles with sharp tips of radius in the nanometer range were fabricated with semiconductor micromachining technology. A correlation between the electron field emission characteristics and the structural change of the emitter tip was clearly observed.
