In this paper discussions are made on the effect of nonsolvent swelling agents on the average pore size and pore size distributions at the surface of polyamide membranes which result from casting solutions involving above nonsolvent swelling agents.

The size of the polymer aggregate in the film casting solution and the size of polymer network pores are correlated to physicochemical data of ions which constitute the electrolytes used as nonsolvent swelling agents. As such ionic properties the charge density and the free energy of transition of ions from polyamide phase to water phase were considered. The validity of the correlation is limited in a range of casting solution composition where the polymer concentration in the casting solution is close to the limiting concentration of polymer at the phase boundary and the molar ratio of the nonsolvent swelling agent to the amide group involved in the polyamide polymer is equal to or slightly more than 0.7.  相似文献

The liver microsomal Δ9 and Δ6 desaturase activities have been studied in rats with carbon tetrachloride-induced hepatitis. Immediately after poisoning, significant decreases were observed for both types of desaturase activity. However, recovery kinetics were slower for the Δ6 desaturase than for the Δ9 desaturase. The activities of NADH-ferricyanide and NADH-cytochrome C reductases, proteins involved in the electron transfers associated with microsomal desaturation, were also measured. There was a fall in both activities after poisoning, but this decrease was less than that of the desaturase activities.  相似文献

Group solution models of liquid mixtures have been used previously to predict excess free energies of non-ideal systems. With increasing experimental data available on heats of mixing, the application of a similar model to excess enthalpies has been investigated. The model allows for both structural and group contributions to excess enthalpies. The former contribution is determined from experimental data on mixtures of alkanes. The group contribution has been determined at 25°C and 45°C for systems containing alkanes and alcohols. Predictions require no experimental data on the system in question, and are in good agreement with experiment. Limited extrapolation to other temperatures and group compositions should be satisfactory.  相似文献

A group solution model for heats of mixing of liquid mixtures has been tested and found satisfactory for mixtures containing ketones and alkanes. No provision was made for a skeletal contribution Group contribution functions were generated from experimental data on acetone/n-hexane mixtures at 25°C and are presented. These functions allow the prediction of heats of mixing of binary or multicomponent mixtures containing alkanes and/or ketones at 25°C. No experimental data are required  相似文献

This paper presents closed-form solution for buckling analysis of orthotropic plates using two variable refined plate theory. The theory accounts for a quadratic variation of the transverse shear strains across the thickness, and satisfies the zero traction boundary conditions on the top and bottom surfaces of the plate without using shear correction factors. Governing equations are derived from the principle of minimum total potential energy. The closed-form solutions of rectangular plates with two opposite edges simply supported and the other two edges having arbitrary boundary conditions are obtained by applying the state space approach to the Levy-type solution. Comparison studies are performed to verify the validity of the present results. The effects of boundary condition, loading condition, and variations of modulus ratio, aspect ratio, and thickness ratio on the critical buckling load of orthotropic plates are investigated and discussed in detail.  相似文献

Free-surface flows past submerged obstacles in a channel are considered. The fluid is assumed to be inviscid and incompressible and the flow to be irrotational. The first-order approximation of long nonlinear surface waves over one or two bumps results in a forced Korteweg?Cde Vries (fKdV) equation. Solutions of the stationary fKdV equation are constructed and their stability is studied, either analytically or numerically. These various solutions include solitary waves over a single bump, solitary waves with two humps over a double bump, table-top solutions over a double bump and fronts.  相似文献

In this study, we prepared magnetic iron oxide and gold/iron oxide nanoparticles (NPs) and characterized their morphologies and properties by XRD, TEM, EDX, VSM and UV-vis measurements. The magnetite iron oxide NPs of 10 nm were synthesized by coprecipitation of Fe2+ and Fe+3 in the solution of NH4OH and then they were used as seed particles for the subsequent growth to prepare the magnetite NPs of different particle sizes and also to prepare gold/iron oxide composite NPs. All those magnetite NPs are superparamagnetic and the gold/iron oxide composite NPs combine the optical and magnetic properties, which are contributed by gold and iron oxide components, respectively.  相似文献

Electric field-induced strain (EFIS) properties of Bi1/2(Na0.82K0.18)1/2TiO3 (BNKT) ceramics modified with Sr(K1/4Nb3/4)O3 (SKN) have been investigated as functions of composition and temperature. BNKT ceramics near a phase boundary revealed the coexistence of ferroelectric rhombohedral and tetragonal phases, resulting in a typical ferroelectric butterfly-shaped bipolar SE loop at room temperature, whose normalized strain (Smax/Emax) showed a significant temperature coefficient of 0.38 pm/V/K. However, 5 mol% SKN-modified BNKT ceramics revealed a typical electrostrictive behaviour with a thermally stable electrostrictive coefficient, Q33 = 0.021 m4/C2, which is almost comparable to that of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PMN) ceramics that have been dominantly used as Pb-based electrostrictive materials over the last decades.  相似文献

BiFe1 ? xMnxO3 thin films having thickness 65 and 130 nm was fabricated on LAO substrates using pulsed laser deposition technique and its structural and magnetic properties were examined. Atomic force microscopy images confirmed that, as the thickness of the films increases the particles size also increases resulting in the decrease of magnetization. The possible cause for the lowering of magnetization with film thickness was discussed. Increase of spontaneous magnetization in BiFeO3 at room temperature was observed with Mn substitution for Fe. The blocking temperature was found to decrease with increasing film thickness.  相似文献
