The adsorption isotherm data of R- and S-1-indanol and of their racemic mixture on cellulose tribenzoate were measured by frontal analysis. These data were then fitted to the Langmuir, the Bilangmuir, the Toth, and the Langmuir-Freundlich isotherm models. The single component data fitted well to both the Bilangmuir and the Toth models. Combined with the lumped pore diffusion model (POR) of chromatography, these isotherms were used to calculate overloaded elution profiles of the pure enantiomers. The calculated and the experimental profiles agree excellently in all cases if the former are derived from the Bilangmuir model. The competitive experimental data also gave excellent agreement with the Bilangmuir model. The simultaneous fit of all the data, for the single components and the racemic mixture, gave again superior agreement with the bilangmuir model. The overloaded elution profiles of samples of the racemic mixture calculated with the Bilangmuir isotherm model combined with the POR model of chromatography gave results in very good agreement with the experimental band profiles of large samples of the racemic mixture. This confirms that in numerous cases the whole set of competitive isotherms of two enantiomers can be derived from the experimental data obtained only with the racemic mixture. 相似文献

An experimental investigation has been carried out for a series of system and operating parameters in order to analyze the effect of mass flow rate on heat transfer and Nusselt number characteristics in solar air heater. Experiments are performed at different air mass flow rates; varying from 0.012 to 0.016 kg/s, about hot summer days of Mai 2012. Hourly values of global solar radiation and some meteorological data (temperature, wind speed, relative humidities, etc.) for measuring days are obtained from the Biskra city of Algeria. The experiments encompassed the flow Reynolds number in the range 965.48–1301.4. Longitudinal fins were used inferior the absorber plate for an increase the heat exchange and render the flow fluid in the channel uniform. The effects of mass flow rate of air on the outlet temperature, Nusselt Number, Reynolds Number, Prandtl Number, the heat transfer in the thickness and length of the solar air collector were studied. In this paper, a robust control scheme to drive a knee‐exoskeleton has been designed to assist people with limited knee movement. Dynamic modeling and parameter identification of the “subject's lower limb‐exoskeleton” has been performed and a sliding mode observer (SMO) developed and integrated in the system's closed loop to provide velocity. Lyapunov's theory allows demonstration of the stability of the system. Experimental tests have been performed with the aid of five voluntary subjects, in sitting position, and during flexion/extension of the knee joint. The performance of the proposed control scheme is compared with those obtained using the classical proportional integrator derivative (PID) controller. These tests track the desired position and velocity trajectories with small tracking errors and evaluate the system's stability and system's robustness against the subject's parameters, variations, and external disturbances. 相似文献

An aluminous cement (Secar 71 from Lafarge) has been used for preparing millimetre thick films by tape casting. Slurry preparation is described. The effect of several dispersants has been studied. The optimum dispersion, associated with the minimum viscosity, is obtained with minimal amounts of dispersant in the case of acetic and propionic acids. Indeed, the corresponding quantities of dispersant are less than 0.5% by weight relative to cement. In addition to its dispersive role, acetic acid plays a role in the setting. It has a retarding effect below 1% by weight relative to the mass of cement and from this amount, it plays an accelerating role on setting. Tapes prepared with cement, water, acetic acid, PEG 300 have been left to set in different environments at 20 °C (50% or 95% relative humidity, water). The formation of aluminous calcium hydrates is most important when setting is done in water. Lastly, the advantage of setting in water is also discussed with respect to the elimination of the different organic products that have been used for tape casting. 相似文献

In this study, the in vivo allergenicity of bovine beta‐lactoglobulin (BLG) in peptic whey protein hydrolysates generated during microwave and conventional heating treatments was assessed. The allergenicity of the hydrolysates was explored by studying the reaction of the murine jejunum from previously immunised Balb/c mice to treated BLG in an Ussing chamber. Intestinal anaphylactic reactions after stimulation of the gut‐associated immune system are a good indicator of potential in vivo allergenicity of whey hydrolysates. Fifty‐two per cent of BLG was hydrolysed by pepsin after only 3 min of microwave irradiation at 200 watts (W), yet it remained intact under conventional heating. Far‐ and near‐UV circular dichroism spectra indicated significant changes in BLG secondary and tertiary structures with microwave irradiation at 200 W. Pepsin whey protein hydrolysates obtained with microwave irradiation at 200 W for 3 min did not stimulate secretion of chloride in the Ussing chamber, as shown by the intensity of the short current values recorded (27.86 μA cm?2), compared to the conventional pepsin hydrolysates (68.21 μA cm?2). This demonstrates the low allergenicity of whey protein hydrolysates generated in this manner. These results confirm that microwave treatment combined with peptic hydrolysis could be applied to produce low allergenicity milk peptides. 相似文献
