A computational technique is described for the general nonlinear analysis of large planar frames under static loading. The analysis accommodates both material and geometric sources of nonlinearity in a highly stable numerical procedure. For material behavior the moment-thrust-curvature relationships are reduced to polynomials made to represent common structural members. The nonlinear influence of axial shortening and P - Δ effects from displaced joints are accommodated by the analysis. Beam-column effects that magnify moments by the influence of axial force acting through deformed members can be approximated by introducing nodal points (or joints) at points of maximum deformation between the ends of members.Accuracy of the analytic procedure is demonstrated by comparing computed results with eight reinforced concrete frames tested at the University of Texas at Austin.  相似文献

This paper presents a robust mapping algorithm for an application in autonomous robots. The method is inspired by the notion of entropy from information theory. A kernel density estimator is adopted to estimate the appearance probability of samples directly from the data. An Entropy Based Robust (EBR) estimator is then designed that selects the most reliable inliers of the line segments. The inliers maintained by the entropy filter are those samples that carry more information. Hence, the parameters extracted from EBR estimator are accurate and robust to the outliers. The performance of the EBR estimator is illustrated by comparing the results with the performance of three other estimators via simulated and real data.  相似文献

The present work has shown that hydrogen decrepitation of a 2:17-type Sm (Co0.673 Cu0.080Fe0.222Zr0.025)8.92 alloy is a very rapid and convenient means of producing powdered material for the production of polymer-bonded permanent magnets. The magnets made from the hydrogen decrepitated powder (average particle size 100m) exhibited improved demagnetization loop shapes, higher intrinsic coercivities and improved elevated temperature stability when compared with the magnets produced from the standard milled powder material (average particle size 40m). These differences in properties have been related to the differences in the character of the powders produced by the two methods of decrepitation.  相似文献

A clastic dominated Lower-Middle Jurassic sequence, known as the Shemshak Formation, is extensively exposed in the Eastern Alborz area, NE Iran. The unit represents a deltaic complex sandwiched between carbonate rocks. Sedimentological study of the formation outcrops has revealed that it was deposited in environments ranging from subaerial to subaqueous delta plains.
Potential source, reservoir and cap rocks are present within the Shemshak Formation; under favourable conditions, generation and accumulation of hydrocarbons in significant quantities can be envisaged. It is suggested that the Shemshak delta, buried under the thick Neogene sediments in the Eastern Alborz area, is a highly prospective exploration target with potential for a multipay section.  相似文献

User input on television (TV) typically requires a mediator device such as a handheld remote control. While this is a well-established interaction paradigm, a handheld device has serious drawbacks: it can be easily misplaced due to its mobility and in case of a touch screen interface, it also requires additional visual attention. Emerging interaction paradigms such as 3D mid-air gestures using novel depth sensors (e.g. Microsoft Kinect), aim at overcoming these limitations, but are known to be tiring. In this article, we propose to leverage the palm as an interactive surface for TV remote control. We present three user studies which set the base for our four contributions: We (1) qualitatively explore the conceptual design space of the proposed imaginary palm-based remote control in an explorative study, (2) quantitatively investigate the effectiveness and accuracy of such an interface in a controlled experiment, (3) identified user acceptance in a controlled laboratory evaluation comparing PalmRC concept with two most typical existing input modalities, here conventional remote control and touch-based remote control interfaces on smart phones for their user experience, task load, as well as overall preference, and (4) contribute PalmRC, an eyes-free, palm-surface-based TV remote control. Our results show that the palm has the potential to be leveraged for device-less eyes-free TV remote interaction without any third-party mediator device.  相似文献
