For improving the tribological performance of hard disk drives, nanometer-thick perfluoropolyether (PFPE) lubricant films are generally treated with ultraviolet (UV) irradiation to bond them to the carbon overcoats of the disks. By modeling UV irradiation as an electron emission and attachment process, we investigate the UV bonding of nonfunctional PFPE Z and functional PFPE Zdol to hydrogenated and nitrogenated carbon surfaces with quantum chemical methods. Our calculation results show that, upon electron attachment, Z dissociates at its main chain to two fragments terminated by CF2CF2 and CF2O groups, whereas Zdol dissociates to a hydrogen fluoride and a fragment. The perfluoromethoxy oxygen in one of the Z fragments and the carbon radical and the hydrogen-truncated end group in the Zdol fragment interact strongly with sp2 and oxidized sites on carbon surfaces. Imine moieties on the CNx surface also contribute considerably to the UV bonding of Zdol.  相似文献

The leaching behaviors of gamma-ray radionuclides, Cs-137, Ru-103, and Zr-95, produced by neutron irradiation of UO2/ZrO2 solid solutions, in real surface seawater were investigated under atmospheric conditions. The fraction of radionuclide inventory leached in the seawater was in the order of Cs > Ru (~U) ? Zr, indicating that the fraction was significantly affected by the chemical state of the radionuclides. However, the amount of soluble nuclides was proportional to that of uranium regardless of whether the solid solutions were prepared under an oxidative or reductive environment. A tiny fraction of Ru was filtered out by a 3 kDa nominal molecular weight cut-off filter after the 160 d leaching test, suggesting a different behavior from its ionic form, but Cs and U did not form a colloid-like species in seawater.  相似文献

当冲击试验电压高时,冲击试验电压的波形叠加过冲和振荡。这是由于冲击试验回路的残余电感、被试设备的大杂散电容或二者共同作用产生的。文章用4次微分方程式对振荡冲击试验的等值回路进行了分析,结果表明,波形可分为非振荡波头、振荡波头、非极性反转波尾、非振荡的极性反转波尾和振荡极性反转波尾5个部分。非振荡的极性反转波尾和振荡极性反转波尾的产生原理是不同的。波形的高频分量定义为振荡波形,非振荡波形是不含振荡波形成份的波形。文章的研究结果是后者的产生原因和等值电阻、等值电感的关系以及4次方程的根有关。文章给出了它们之间的关系。  相似文献

We studied the rates of gelation and phase separation of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) solutions in mixtures of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and water at 25 °C and found that both the rates show a maximum at a volume fraction of DMSO φDMSO=0.60 while gelation was not observed either in pure DMSO or pure water, suggesting that water-DMSO is a cononsolvent system for PVA. On the basis of the data by Cowie [Can J Chem 36 (1961) 2240] we concluded that the 1:2 stable complex between one DMSO molecule and two water molecules is the main cause of this cononsolvency.  相似文献

The stock of aged power equipment is increasing and it is important to clarify the characteristics of deteriorated insulating oil. This paper describes a basic study of molecular behavior in the oxidation of insulating oil by terahertz spectroscopy. The oxidation of insulating oil was modeled by using various compositions of dodecane and 2‐octanol. The terahertz measurements indicated that signi?cant absorption related to hydroxyl groups (‐OH) occurred between 6 and 7 THz. The absorption band was also observed in accelerated aging alkylbenzene, which is used in power equipment as insulating oil and is sensitive to hydrogen bonds. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The Pseudomonas aeruginosa san-ai strain was isolated from water-soluble cutting oil used for cooling and lubrication during industrial metal-working processes. This strain, which is grown in a high alkaline (pH 10) mixture of surfactants and mineral oil, produces an extracellular proteolytic enzyme. We have purified and characterized this 18 kDa protease. The P. aeruginosa san-ai protease functions optimally at pH 9.0 and 60 degrees C. Additionally, it is a Zn-containing metalloenzyme, and its monomeric structure contains at least one disulfide bond. Because the enzyme is stable in the presence of organic solvents, it is suitable for peptide synthesis. Furthermore, the P. aeruginosa san-ai protease could be used in an intelligent drug delivery system (DDS) designed for applications in the metal industry for prevention of putrefaction of cutting oil.  相似文献

Penetration of liquid by passive impregnation method for Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii Franco), sugi (Cryptomeria japonica D. Don) and Japanese larch (Larix leptolepis Gordon) was studied. Effects of initial moisture content of sugi (16, 43 and 70% moisture content) on liquid penetration were also studied. Dried Douglas-fir (mc=14%) and sugi (mc=16%), and green Japanese larch (mc=45%) and sugi (mc=70%) were treated by passive impregnation method for penetration analysis. It was observed that dried sugi had the highest level of liquid penetration both in length (170 mm) and width (8 mm) for all measured sections followed by green sugi, green Japanese larch and dried Douglas-fir. In case of different initial moisture content, the highest absorption (624 kg/m3) and penetration (maximum 87 and 96% at cross and longitudinal surfaces, respectively) was observed for sugi having the lowest initial moisture content under the same passive impregnation conditions. Absorption and penetration decreased with the increase of initial moisture content for sugi. These results could help in designing incising pattern and density, as well as solving the problems related to high initial moisture content of wood for passive impregnation.  相似文献

Visualization in the spherical geometry is ubiquitous in geophysical data processing. For the spherical visualization, the commonly used spherical polar coordinate system is not ideal due to its grid convergence nature near the poles. We propose to use a spherical overset grid system called Yin-Yang grid as the base grid system of the spherical visualization. The convergence-free nature of the Yin-Yang grid leads to a balanced data distribution and effective visualization processing in a sphere. The Yin-Yang grid is already used in various geophysical simulations including the geodynamo and mantle convection in the spherical geometry. Data produced by the Yin-Yang grid can be, and should be, visualized directly on the same Yin-Yang grid system without any data remapping. Since the component grid of the Yin-Yang grid is a part of (or low latitude region of) the standard spherical polar coordinate system, it is straightforward to convert an existing spherical visualization tool based on the spherical polar coordinates into a tool based on the Yin-Yang grid.  相似文献

MMIC technology is recently progressing at a rapid rate and is now being applied in communications systems. However, there remain few practical applications. This is mainly due to the high cost of conventional mmics because of the small market size and specialized needs. This paper introduces three new technical approaches that overcome the problems: uniplanar mmic, line unified fet^lufet), and multilayer mmic. Concepts and several examples of these technologies are described. It is shown that these technologies are effective not only for cost reduction but also for increased performance.
