In the present article, peristaltic flow of an incompressible six constant Jeffrey’s fluid model have been discussed. The flow have been analyzed in a wave frame of reference moving with the wave speed c. We have modeled the governing equations of a two dimensional and two directional flow under long wave length and low Reynold’s number approximation. Slip effects have been utilized for both velocity and temperature profile. The analytical solution for the proposed problem have been evaluated. The expression for the pressure rise is calculated using numerical integration. The graphical results are presented to interpret various physical parameters of interest for velocity, pressure gradient and temperature profile.  相似文献

Thermal enhancement remains a critical requirement in different engineering applications. Many factors can affect the efficiency of the techniques used for this aim. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of particle-fluid suspensions with heat transfer through porous annular-sector duct on enhancement techniques and address the potential application of deep learning to suspension problems. The analysis is focused on the fully developed region of the forced convection flow. Thermal and rheological properties of particle-fluid suspensions were studied using physics-informed neural networks exploiting transfer learning capabilities for making parameter analysis. Another finite element solution was introduced as a measure of accuracy and to support our findings. Results were prepared in a comparative manner for both solvers including contour plots, tabular, and two dimensional figures. The average Nusselt number and friction factors were calculated for different cases to investigate the value of the thermal performance factor. Our results indicate the downside of suspensions on thermal enhancement and their negative impact on other techniques.  相似文献

In 4 junior-high-school mathematics classrooms, 96 students learned a 1-wk unit of consumer mathematics in mixed-, or uniform-ability groups. The interaction variable that related most strongly, and negatively, to achievement was asking a question and receiving no response. The effects of S and group characteristics on achievement were partially mediated by interaction in group. Group interaction was predicted by group composition and S's personality: The frequency of asking a question and receiving no response was higher among uniform- than mixed-ability groups and was higher among extroverted Ss (as assessed by the Eysenck Personality Inventory) than among introverted Ss. In this paper, we propose a semi-oblivious energy-aware adaptive watermarking scheme for wireless image sensor networks, which considered key characteristics such as the embedding capacity, security, imperceptibility, computation, and communication energy requirements. We evaluated the distortion in cover image due to watermark redundancies, the number of embedding locations with respect to two channel adaptive parameters, and the impact of compression of cover image on the correctness of extracted watermark. In addition, we investigated the robustness of the scheme against statistical analysis attacks. The results have shown that the proposed scheme has sufficient capacity to embed redundant watermarks in the cover image in an imperceptible manner with reasonably low distortion. The scheme is also considered relatively robust against collusion and middleman attacks.  相似文献

Defects are detrimental for optoelectronics devices, such as stacking faults can form carrier‐transportation barriers, and foreign impurities (Au) with deep‐energy levels can form carrier traps and nonradiative recombination centers. Here, self‐catalyzed p‐type GaAs nanowires (NWs) with a pure zinc blende (ZB) structure are first developed, and then a photodetector made from these NWs is fabricated. Due to the absence of stacking faults and suppression of large amount of defects with deep energy levels, the photodetector exhibits room‐temperature high photoresponsivity of 1.45 × 105 A W?1 and excellent specific detectivity (D*) up to 1.48 × 1014 Jones for a low‐intensity light signal of wavelength 632.8 nm, which outperforms previously reported NW‐based photodetectors. These results demonstrate these self‐catalyzed pure‐ZB GaAs NWs to be promising candidates for optoelectronics applications.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to investigate whether life satisfaction and depressive symptoms are independent predictors of mortality in a non-Western sample of adults. The sample included 5,131 adults (ages 50–95 at baseline) in Taiwan who participated in the Survey of Health and Living Status of the Near Elderly and Elderly. There were 1,815 deaths recorded over a 10-year period. Higher life satisfaction significantly predicted lower risk of mortality after controlling for age, sex, education, marital status, and health status. Depressive symptoms significantly predicted higher risk of mortality. A significant interaction with age revealed that the protective effect of life satisfaction weakened with age. The results suggest that life satisfaction and depressive symptoms independently predict mortality risk in adults. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved)  相似文献
