Thermal buckling analysis of laminated composite beams using hyperbolic refined shear deformation theory 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this article, thermal buckling of laminated composite beams, based on hyperbolic refined shear deformation theory, presented for the first time, is formulated using the principle of minimum total potential energy. Navier’s analytical solution is derived to analytically solve the differential equations and the thermal critical buckling is presented in closed-form solution. The effects of temperature distribution, length to thickness ratio, modulus ratio, and thermal expansion coefficient ratio on thermal buckling of isotropic, orthotropic and laminated composite beams are investigated. The accuracy of the numerical model is verified by comparison with the available results in the literature. 相似文献

An experimental investigation has been carried out for a series of system and operating parameters in order to analyze the effect of mass flow rate on heat transfer and Nusselt number characteristics in solar air heater. Experiments are performed at different air mass flow rates; varying from 0.012 to 0.016 kg/s, about hot summer days of Mai 2012. Hourly values of global solar radiation and some meteorological data (temperature, wind speed, relative humidities, etc.) for measuring days are obtained from the Biskra city of Algeria. The experiments encompassed the flow Reynolds number in the range 965.48–1301.4. Longitudinal fins were used inferior the absorber plate for an increase the heat exchange and render the flow fluid in the channel uniform. The effects of mass flow rate of air on the outlet temperature, Nusselt Number, Reynolds Number, Prandtl Number, the heat transfer in the thickness and length of the solar air collector were studied. It is well known that the ambient temperature is a sensitive parameter which has a great effect on biology, technology, geology and even on human behavior. A prediction is a statement about an uncertain event. It is often, but not always, based upon experience or knowledge. Although guaranteed accurate information about the future is in many cases impossible, prediction can be useful to assist in making plans about possible developments. As a result, temperature profiles can be developed which accurately represent the expected ambient temperature exposure that this environment experiences during measurement. The ambient temperature over time is modeled based on the previous T min and T max data and using a Lagrange interpolation. To observe the comprehensive variation of ambient temperature the profile must be determined numerically. The model proposed in this paper can provide an acceptable way to measure the change in ambient temperature. 相似文献

The influence of carbon nanotubes on various chemical reactions has been examined. These reactions include epoxy crosslinking, in situ polymerization of copolymers in the presence of carbon nanotubes and thermal degradation of a thermoplastic matrix. The various characterizations were based on different types of analyses, including differential scanning calorimetry, proton nuclear magnetic resonance, size exclusion chromatography and thermogravimetric analysis. We report on the effect of mixing on the morphology of ultrafine zinc oxide nanoparticles synthesized via a polyol process using zinc acetate and water in a diethylene glycol medium. Three mixing strategies were considered: stirred batch, T‐mixer, and impinging free jets. The particle granulometry was accessed using the transmission electron microscopy and x‐ray diffraction methods. The nanoparticle size and polydispersity decreased with an increase in the local dissipated energy. In particular, the polyol process conducted in the same chemical environment at 353 K did not lead to the observation of nanoparticles in the stirred batch reactor but resulted in unconventionally small 6‐nm particles in the T‐mixer and impinging jet configurations. This result is apparently related to the micromixing eddy geometry described by the Kolmogorov length. The hydrodynamic flow patterns and energy dissipation were obtained from computational ?uid dynamics simulations, which are essential in the design, optimization, and scale‐up of the polyol process. © 2015 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 61: 1708–1721, 2015 相似文献

Density functional calculations are used to study the reactions of hydrogen and oxygen atoms on the basal plane of graphite. Oxygen atoms can strongly bond to the graphite surface forming an epoxide-like structure. Hydrogen atoms can react with the adsorbed oxygen and form hydroxyl (OH) radicals. The low-energy OH radicals can be retained on the graphite surface and then they can undergo recombination with hydrogen to form water molecules which leave the surface. Both the formation of hydroxyl radicals and water molecules can occur through Eley–Rideal or Langmuir–Hinshelwood mechanisms. The Eley–Rideal mechanism is kinetically favored. The study on formation of OH radicals was completed with quantum molecular dynamics calculations (Verlet algorithm). 相似文献

An aerochitin–titania (TiO2) composite was successfully synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, field emission scanning electron microscopy, and N2 adsorption isotherms. The photocatalytic activity of the composite was investigated on the degradation of the model organic pollutant, methylene blue (MB) dye, under UV irradiation. The aerochitin–TiO2 composite showed excellent adsorptive and photocatalytic activity with a degradation degree of 98% for MB. The first‐order rate constants for the photodegradation MB by TiO2 nanoparticles and aerochitin–TiO2 composite were found to be (3.49 ± 0.04) × 10?3 and (1.82 ± 0.02) × 10?2 min?1. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
