In recent years, wet (washing, bleaching, etc.) and dry (abrasive, laser shaping, rodeo, etc.) operations applied on fashion denim products have become an important factor to increase the added value. However, these wet and dry processes applied to the denim products may have adverse effects on the strength of the fabric and other supplementary materials of denim products. For example, thread breakages affect the repair ratios and quality of products, which causes time and profitability losses in companies. The main objective of this study is to analyse how the types of washing affect the strength of the sewing threads that are commonly used in the production of denim trousers. In this study, 100% cotton denim fabric with a weight of 11.5 ounces and two different sewing threads were used. The fabrics are sewn as trouser legs with chain and lock stitch. Five different washes were applied to the trouser legs. The obtained data were evaluated in the R statistical program. As a result of the analyses made it is proven that the washing techniques used have an effect on the sewing threads’ tensile strength and elongation at break. The tensile strengths of lock stitch and chain stitch decrease averagely 35% and elongation at break of lock stitch decreases %22 and chain stitch decreases 29.8%. 相似文献

In present work; epoxidized soybean oil (ESO), fly ash (FA) and natural clay (C) are used to produce 45 kinds of biocomposite materials and by analyzing the physical–mechanical properties of these novel materials, their use as an insulation material is investigated. The compressive strength, tensile strength, abrasion loss, thermal conductivity and oven-dry mass of each sample are measured. The minimum thermal conductivity of 0.273 W/mK is observed with the samples containing ESO–FA–C. It is increased with the decrease of ESO and FA. The compressive and tensile strengths are varied from 13.53 to 6.31 MPa and 1.287 to 0.879 MPa, respectively. 相似文献

Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) with high data bit rates can be used with cellular network to achieve higher level of Quality of Service (QoS) by sharing their total resources efficiently. The integration between cellular and WLAN networks should be ensured considering different channel allocation strategies of both networks and efficient resource management techniques should be developed. In this paper, we propose a new call admission scheme to use the coupled resource effectively. The proposed scheme, by taking the different resource sharing strategies for two access networks, limits the new, horizontal and vertical handoff voice and data call arrivals with respect to their call level QoS requirements. Numerical results show that the proposed integrated cellular/WLAN network model uses the resources more effectively and achieves all upper bound QoS requirements for voice and data users as compared with the non integrated network model. 相似文献

In the present study, non-oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane was carried out by using conventional heated (CHRS) and microwave heated (MWHRS) reactor systems. Reactions were conducted in the presence of SBA-15 supported Cr or Mo catalysts, and the activity of the catalysts were evaluated in terms of ethane conversion and C2H4/H2 ratio. The physicochemical properties of synthesized catalysts were determined by XRD, N2 adsorption/desorption, ICP-OES, TPR, SEM, and EDS analysis. XRD pattern of reduced catalysts revealed the formation of metallic Mo and Eskolaite Cr2O3 over the catalysts. The mesoporous structure of SBA-15 was confirmed using N2 adsorption/desorption analysis. Activity test results showed higher ethane conversion in the presence of Mo than Cr in both reactor systems. However, more side reaction took place over Mo than Cr based catalysts. Cr based catalyst showed better activity in terms of ethylene formation and C2H4/H2 ratio. Results proved the superior performance of microwave heated reactor over the conventionally heated reactor. Significantly higher conversion was obtained over Cr based catalysts in MWHRS than CHRS due to the occurrence of micro-plasmas (hot spots) in the catalyst bed. The performance of 5Cr@SBA-15 in CHRS was poor due to negligible ethane conversion below 650 °C, while almost complete conversion could be achieved in MWHRS with this catalyst at identical conditions. The number of references per paper, perhaps the best single index of a journal’s scholarliness, has been studied in different disciplines and periods. In this paper we present a four decade study of eight engineering journals. A data set of over 70,000 references was generated after automatic data gathering and manual inspection for errors. Results show a significant increase in the number of references per paper, the average rises from 8 in 1972 to 25 in 2013. This growth presents an acceleration around the year 2000, consistent with a much easier access to search engines and documents produced by the generalization of the Internet. 相似文献

In this study, 28 plants were collected from nature and the extracts were obtained with and without mordants from these plants. The wool yarns (3.5 N m natural wool carpet yarns obtained from the natural fibers 60 s, 23.3 µm, 10?4 cm) were colored by each of these extracts and the light and abrasion fastness of obtained colored substances of various colors were determined. While the plant showing the highest light fastness was walnut tree leaf (Juglans regia), the plant showing the highest abrasion fastness was determined as quince leaf (Cydonia oblonga). On the other hand, while the ferric sulfate as a mordant provided the highest light fastness, the highest abrasion fastness was obtained from the experimental group to which mordant was not applied. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge and practice of food safety and hygiene among students in university cookery programs in Turkey. A questionnaire was given to 82 cookery students in two vocational schools from two different universities.
