An ESD (electrostatic discharge) testing is specified in the IEC 61000‐4‐2, in which the detailed waveform of the discharge current injected by an ESD gun is prescribed. However, due to lack of understanding of the discharge process, it is difficult to confirm whether or not the IEC current waveform can be injected onto actual equipment. We thus previously proposed an equivalent circuit model for the ESD gun based on its geometrical structure, and showed decisive factors for the discharge current. In this study, in order to confirm the feasibility of the above equivalent circuit model, we measured with a 6‐GHz wide‐band digital oscilloscope the discharge current through an SMA connector and the resultant magnetic near field for the contact discharge of an ESD gun. As a result, we found that both measured waveforms approximately agree with those calculated from our equivalent circuit model. We then measured with respect to charge voltages the magnetic near fields for the contact discharge of the ESD gun to the ground, which revealed that the measured waveform around the first peak is in fair agreement with the calculated one. Furthermore, we found that the magnetic field peak increases with increasing charge voltage, whose dependence can be predicted from our equivalent model. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The characteristics of the combustion synthesis of TiN are investigated through a self-propagating reaction of titanium powder compacts of specific packing density (40% to 60% theoretical one) in the presence of flowing nitrogen gas (0.01 m3 min–1) under atmospheric pressure. It was found that the propagating velocity of the combustion wave became slower with increasing packing density. The conversion ratio of nitrided titanium increased with increasing packing density, and reached about 70% in the case of 60% densely packed compact covered with a quartz tube. However, in the case where nitrogen gas flowed from the centre bottom of the compact, the conversion ratio was almost independent of packing density. It is considered that the predominant factors for achieving higher conversion are the combustion wave velocity and temperature gradient in the high temperatures region behind the combustion front. 相似文献

Brushes made of carbon fibers with a high thermal conductivity are inserted on the shell side of a heat exchanger to enhance the conductive heat transfer rates in phase change materials. The experimental results show that the brushes essentially improve the heat exchange rate during the charge and discharge processes even when the volume fractions of the fibers are about one percent. A three-dimensional model describing the heat transfer in the heat exchanger is numerically solved. The model predicts well the experimental outlet fluid temperatures and the local temperatures in the composite. 相似文献

Ca-α SiAlON powders were prepared by carbothermal reduction-nitridation of CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 glasses at 1450 °C for 2 h in nitrogen. The content of Ca-α SiAlON phase was 65-81% in the products, and the other phases were AlN and β-SiAlON. The products contained hollow spheres with the size of around 5 μm in diameter. The particle morphology was almost identical to that of Ca-α SiAlON prepared from CaCO3-Al2O3-SiO2 powder mixtures. 相似文献

The incorporation of Ag nanoparticles on mesoporous silica as the supporting material and their catalysis for oleic acid hydrogenation were described in this study. The template removal and Ag nanoparticle incorporation were concurrently taken place in the novel glow discharge in a solution, namely solution plasma process under controlled conditions. With only 15 min of discharge time, Ag nanoparticles were incorporated on the mesoporous silica matrix confirmed by the evidences of XRD and TEM and the template inside mesopores was mostly removed confirmed by FTIR spectra. The hydrogenation catalysis of oleic acid was preliminarily tested using UV-VIS spectroscopy after oxidation using permanganate ions (MnO4−). It was found that the conversion was observed to be 12.83% in the butanol system and reached to 90.56% in ethanol. 相似文献

Fine-grained Mg-3Al-Zn alloys with various oxygen contents were prepared by a powder metallurgy process, and the effect of oxygen content on the impact toughness of the fine-grained magnesium alloys was quantitatively investigated. It is found that the impact toughness of magnesium alloys with mean grain size smaller than 3 μm is extremely high when the oxygen content is less than 400 pp, but it becomes very low as the oxygen content is higher than 1000 ppm. Both magnesium oxides and hydroxides are detected in the magnesium alloys. The presence of excessive magnesium oxides and hydroxides deteriorates the dynamic plastic deformation ability of the fine-grained magnesium alloys. 相似文献

Four-terminal electrical measurement is realized on a microscopic structure in air, without a lithographic process, using a home-built quadruple-scanning-probe force microscope (QSPFM). The QSPFM has four probes whose positions are individually controlled by obtaining images of a sample in the manner of atomic force microscopy (AFM), and uses the probes as contacting electrodes for electrical measurements. A specially arranged tuning fork probe (TFP) is used as a self-detection force sensor to operate each probe in a frequency modulation AFM mode, resulting in simultaneous imaging of the same microscopic feature on an insulator using the four TFPs. Four-terminal electrical measurement is then demonstrated in air by placing each probe electrode in contact with a graphene flake exfoliated on a silicon dioxide film, and the sheet resistance of the flake is measured by the van der Pauw method. The present work shows that the QSPFM has the potential to measure the intrinsic electrical properties of a wide range of microscopic materials in situ without electrode fabrication. 相似文献
