A new mathematical model has been developed for the continuous esterification process of terephthalic acid (TPA) and ethlene glycol (EG) with consideration of oligomer characteristics. The liquid weight fraction in the reaction mixture, β, has been selected as a principal parameter in this model. The solubility of TPA in EG and bis β-hydroxyethyl terephthalate (BHET) has been measured in order to estimate more precisely the concentration of each component. Good agreement has been obtained by plotting the log of solubility data of TPA in EG and BHET against the reciprocal of the absolute temperature with correlation coefficients of 0.998 and 0.989, respectively. The validity of these data has been verified in comparison with other data.  相似文献

In this paper, the aerobic biodegradation behavior of nonylphenol polyethoxylates (NPnEOs) with ethoxy (EO) units of specific lengths, which were fractionated using high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) with photodiode array detection, was studied in the presence of different types of organic materials. NPnEOs and their related metabolites under a modified OECD 301E biodegradation test were monitored using liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Biodegradation tests in the presence of organic matters, such as methanol, glucose, and yeast extract, showed the formation of the corresponding nonylphenol polyethoxy carboxylates by the oxidation of the terminal alcoholic group. However, aerobic biodegradation tests without organic matter revealed that NP2EO and NP3EO were predominant metabolites of the long-chain-oligomer precursor system which undergo fast and complete shortening. Degradation rates were higher for the long-chain oligomers than for shorter ones. The degradation pathway of NPnEOs was greatly influenced by the presence or absence of organic matter. Organic materials such as those given above apparently play a significant role in the formation of the carboxylated metabolites of NPnEOs.  相似文献

The occurrence of deoxynivalenol (DON) was evaluated in 113 wheat samples from the northern and central/southwestern regions of Paraná State, Brazil during the 2008 and 2009 growing seasons, and this rate of occurrence was used to estimate the DON dietary exposure. The DON determination was carried out by an indirect competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. DON was detected in 66.4% samples at levels ranging from 206.3 to 4732.3 μg/kg (mean 1894.9 μg/kg). The estimated daily intake (EDI) of DON through bread and pasta was evaluated in the inhabitants of Londrina City in northern Paraná State, Brazil. The average intake of these inhabitants was 0.79 μg/kg body weight (b.w.) for bread and 0.35 μg/kg b.w. for pasta. The total EDI was 1.13 μg/kg, which is above the Provisional Tolerable Daily Maximum Intake (PTDMI) of 1 μg/kg b.w. To our knowledge, this is the first report on natural DON occurrence in wheat and DON dietary exposure estimation from Paraná, Brazil.  相似文献

Cross-linked poly-gamma-glutamic acid (C-L gamma-PGA) at 5 microg/ml flocculated bentonite suspension pretreated with polyaluminum chloride (PAC) at 2 microg/ml Al3+-PAC to a transparency of approximately 30% after 30 min and more than 90% after 4 h, while Al3+ concentration in the upper phase of the suspension decreased with incubation time. When pretreated with FeCl3 at 16 microg/ml Fe3+-FeCl3, similar results were obtained. In the case of Escherichia coli suspension, the combination of C-L gamma-PGA and FeCl3 demonstrated a more marked flocculating activity with a satisfactory transparency occurring after 30 min of treatment, accompanied by a decrease in residual Fe3+ concentration. In the above two suspensions pretreated with FeCl3, small visible floats appeared in the early stage of incubation. These floats were found to be due to the direct interaction between FeCl3 and C-L gamma-PGA, indicating the formation of a water-insoluble complex. After allowing the suspension to stand for a long time, elemental analysis and inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy of the precipitates produced suggested that not only the complex was formed due to the interaction between Fe3+ in FeCl3 and COO- in the C-L gamma-PGA molecule, but also Fe2O3 and Fe(OH)3 might be entrapped in this complex. This could be applied to scavenge metal ions including Fe3+ from polluted water.  相似文献

The influence of growth temperature, carbon to nitrogen (C/N) ratio of the medium and the nitrogen source on the cell and lipid formation from cellulose by the speciesfilamentosa andpraticola of the genusPellicularia were investigated. The strains of thePellicularia genus fungi can be grown well utilizing powdery cellulose and sugar cane bagasse as the carbon source. The amount of lipids accumulated in the mycelium varied considerably depending on the difference in the cell growth associated with the cultivation condition, and the difference in the strain, C/N ratio and nitrogen source. The maximum accumulation of lipids in the mycelium (256 mg/400 ml of the medium) from cellulose was observed at 20 C with a C/N ratio of 5.7 using potassium nitrate as the nitrogen source forPellicularia filamentosa var.solani IFO 5879. Protein formation in the liquid medium is at its peak when the cell growth is at its maximum. The fatty acid compositions of the neutral and polar lipid fractions also were determined. Linoleic acid is the major fatty acid component of both fractions. The change in the total lipid content is less than 10% under any cuitivation condition.  相似文献

Hydroliquefaction of Japanese Miike and Taiheiyo coals was carried out using various iron complexes as catalysts in tetralin at 375–445 °C. Iron pentacarbonyl (Fe(CO)5) showed the highest catalytic activity, increasing coal conversion by about 10% at 425 °C under an initial hydrogen pressure of 5 MPa. Amounts of hydrogen transferred to coal increased from 1.4–2.3 wt% of daf coal in the absence of the catalyst to 2.5–4.2 wt% of daf coal in the presence of Fe(CO)5 at 425 °C.  相似文献

A contribution of the cholinergic system to immune cell function has been suggested, though the role of nicotine and its receptors in T cells, especially regulatory T (Treg) cells, is unclear. We herein investigated the expression and function of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) in murine-induced Treg (iTreg) cells. Upon differentiation of naive BALB/c T cells into iTreg cells and other T-cell subsets, the effect of nicotine on cytokine production and proliferation of iTreg cells was examined. The expression of nAChRs and its regulatory mechanisms were comparatively analyzed among T-cell subsets. Stimulation-induced transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) production of iTreg cells was suppressed by nicotine, whereas interleukin (IL)-10 production and proliferation was not affected. α2-, α5-, α9-, and β2-nAChRs were differentially expressed in naive, Th1, Th2, Th9, Th17, and iTreg cells. Among these cell types, the α9-nAChR was particularly upregulated in iTreg cells via its gene promoter, but not through tri-methylation at the 4th lysine residue of the histone H3-dependent mechanisms. We conclude that the immunoregulatory role of Treg cells is modified by the cholinergic system, probably through the characteristic expression of nAChRs.  相似文献

Glucocorticoids delay fracture healing and induce osteoporosis. However, the mechanisms by which glucocorticoids delay bone repair have yet to be clarified. Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) is the principal inhibitor of plasminogen activators and an adipocytokine that regulates metabolism. We herein investigated the roles of macrophages in glucocorticoid-induced delays in bone repair after femoral bone injury using PAI-1-deficient female mice intraperitoneally administered with dexamethasone (Dex). Dex significantly decreased the number of F4/80-positive macrophages at the damaged site two days after femoral bone injury. It also attenuated bone injury-induced decreases in the number of hematopoietic stem cells in bone marrow in wild-type and PAI-1-deficient mice. PAI-1 deficiency significantly weakened Dex-induced decreases in macrophage number and macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) mRNA levels at the damaged site two days after bone injury. It also significantly ameliorated the Dex-induced inhibition of macrophage phagocytosis at the damaged site. In conclusion, we herein demonstrated that Dex decreased the number of macrophages at the damaged site during early bone repair after femoral bone injury partly through PAI-1 and M-CSF in mice.  相似文献

A new type of residence with solar heating, earth cooling and air circulation(the SEA House) has been proposed by the authors. In winter, the house is heated by solar energy. Thermal insulation, heat storage and air circulation are used to maintain the room temperature at a comfortable level and to reduce the energy demands for air-conditioning. In summer, the cooling tubes are used for the purpose of cooling the proposed house. In this paper, the energy savings of the SEA House are analyzed quantitatively. Comparing to the energy used for the air-conditioning of the existing residential houses in Hokkaido, Sendai, Tokyo and Kagoshima, it is estimated that only 19%, 18%, 14% and 24% of energy are needed for the airconditioning of the SEA House respectively.  相似文献
