ABSTRACT

Supercapacitor properties of rGO, CuO, PEDOT and rGO/CuO at [rGO]o/[CuO]o?=?1:1; 1:1.5; 1:2 and rGO/CuO/PEDOT nanocomposite at [rGO]o/[CuO]o/[EDOT]o?=?1:1:1; 1:1:3; 1:1:5 were investigated using chemical reduction of GO and in-situ polymerisation process. SEM-EDX, HRTEM, BET surface area analysis confirm the nanocomposite formations. Nanocomposite materials are also analysed through FTIR-ATR, Raman, TGA-DTA, GCD, CV and EIS. The highest specific capacitance of C sp?=?156.7 F/g at 2?mV/s is determined as rGO/CuO/PEDOT at [rGO]o/[CuO]o/[EDOT]o?=?1:1:5. In addition, two-electrode supercapacitor device for rGO/CuO/PEDOT at [rGO]o/[CuO]o/[EDOT]o?=?1:1:5 are found to provide a maximum specific energy (E?=?14.15 Wh/kg at 20?mA) and specific power (P?=?24730 W/kg at 50?mA), electrical serial resistance (ESR?=?13.33 Ω) with good capacity retention after 3000 cycles. An equivalent circuit model of LR1(CR2)(QR3) is proposed to interpret the EIS data. The supercapacitor performance of the rGO/CuO/PEDOT nanocomposite electrode indicates the synergistic effect of hybrid supercapacitors.  相似文献

Nanocomposites consisting of thermoplastic polyurethane–urea (TPU) and silica nanoparticles of various size and filler loadings were prepared by solution blending and extensively characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermal analysis, tensile tests, and nanoindentation. TPU copolymer was based on a cycloaliphatic diisocyanate and poly(tetramethylene oxide) (PTMO-2000) soft segments and had urea hard segment content of 20% by weight. TPU/silica nanocomposites using silica particles of different size (29, 74 and 215 nm) and at different loadings (1, 5, 10, 20 and 40 wt. %) were prepared and characterized. Solution blending using isopropyl alcohol resulted in even distribution of silica nanoparticles in the polyurethane–urea matrix. FTIR spectroscopy indicated strong interactions between silica particles and polyether segments. Incorporation of silica nanoparticles of smaller size led to higher modulus and tensile strength of the nanocomposites, and elastomeric properties were retained. Increased filler content of up to about 20 wt. % resulted in materials with higher elastic moduli and tensile strength while the glass transition temperature remained the same. The fracture toughness increased relative to neat TPU regardless of the silica particle size. Improvements in tensile properties of the nanocomposites, particularly at intermediate silica loading levels and smaller particle size, are attributed to the interactions between the surface of silica nanoparticles and ether linkages of the polyether segments of the copolymers.  相似文献

Downscaling of atmospheric climate parameters is a sophisticated tool to develop statistical relationships between large-scale atmospheric variables and local-scale meteorological variables. In this study, the variables selected from the National Centre for Environmental Prediction and National Centre for Atmospheric Research (NCEP/NCAR) reanalysis data set were used as predictors for the downscaling of monthly precipitation in a watershed located in north-western Turkey where station records terminated two decades ago. An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based approach was used to downscale global climate predictors that are positively correlated to the existing time frame of precipitation data in the basin. The downscaled precipitation information were used to extend the non-existing data from the meteorological station, which were later correlated with groundwater level data obtained from automatic pressure transducers that continuously record depth to groundwater. The results of the study showed that, among a large set of NCEP/NCAR parameters, surface precipitation data recorded at the meteorological station was strongly correlated with precipitation rate, air temperature and relative humidity at surface and air temperature at 850, 500, and 200 hPa pressure levels, and geopotential heights at 850 and 200 hPa pressure levels. The gaps in station data were then filled with the correlations obtained from NCEP/NCAR parameters and a complete precipitation data set was obtained that extended to current time line. This extended precipitation time series was later correlated with the existing groundwater level data from an alluvial plain in order to develop a general relationship that can be used in basin-wide water budget estimations. The proposed methodology is believed to serve the needs of engineers and basin planners who try to create a link between related hydrological variables under data-limited conditions.  相似文献

In this study an agricultural residue, sesame stalk, was evaluated for the removal of Ni(II) and Zn(II) metal ions from aqueous solutions. Biosorption studies were carried out at different pH, biosorbent dosage, initial metal ion concentrations, contact time, and solution temperature to determine the optimum conditions. The experimental data were modeled by Langmuir, Freundlich, Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) and Temkin isotherm models. Langmuir model resulted in the best fit of the biosorption data. The pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models were used to describe the kinetic data and to evaluate rate constants. The best correlation was provided by the second-order kinetic model. The thermodynamic parameters such as ΔG°, ΔH° and ΔS° were calculated for predicting the nature of adsorption. The experimental results showed that sesame stalk can be used as an effective and low-cost biosorbent precursor for the removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions.  相似文献

In this study, the removal of copper(II) and cadmium(II) ions from aqueous solutions by biosorption onto pine cone was studied. Variables that affect the biosorption process such as pH, biosorbent dosage, initial metal ion concentration, contact time and temperature of solution were optimized. Experimental data were fitted to Langmuir, Freundlich, Dubinin Radushkevich and Temkin isotherm models to investigate the equilibrium isotherms. Pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order and intraparticle diffusion kinetic models were used to determine the biosorption mechanism. The thermodynamics of biosorption were studied for predicting the nature of biosorption. Experimental results showed that pine cone could be evaluated as an alternative precursor for removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions, due to its high biosorption capacity, availability, and low cost.  相似文献

Energy is an essential factor to achieve sustainable development. So, countries striving to this end are seeking to reassess their energy systems with a view towards planning energy programmes and strategies in line with sustainable development goals and objectives. As would be expected, the rapid expansion of energy production and consumption has brought with it a wide range of environmental issues at the local, regional and global levels. States have played a leading role in protecting the environment by reducing emissions of greenhouse gases. Turkey is an energy importing country with more than half of the energy requirement being supplied by imports, and air pollution is becoming a great environmental concern in the country. On the other hand, Turkey's geographical location has several advantages for extensive use of most of the renewable energy sources. In this regard, renewable energy resources appear the most efficient and effective solutions for clean and sustainable energy development in Turkey. In this study, we analyze several Cu-Cl cycles by examining various design schemes for an overall system and its components, in order to identify potential performance improvements. The factors that determine the number and effective grouping of steps for new design schemes are analyzed. A thermodynamic analysis and several parametric studies are presented for various configurations. The energy efficiency is found to be 44% for the five-step thermochemical process, 43% for the four-step process and 41% for the three-step process, based on the lower heating value of hydrogen. Also, conclusions regarding implementation of these new configurations are discussed and the potential benefits ascertained.  相似文献

An optimal control algorithm for cryopreservation of cells using ultrarapid freezing technique is applied successfully in the present study to determine the strength of optimal laser heating based on the desired limited temperature distribution of the cell. The validity of this optimal control analysis utilizing the conjugate gradient method of minimization is examined using numerical experiments. Three different heating times are given, and the corresponding optimal control heat fluxes are determined. Results show that the optimal boundary heat fluxes can be obtained with any arbitrary initial guesses within a very short CPU time on a Pentium III 600-MHz PC.  相似文献

We consider a general multiple-antenna network with multiple sources, multiple destinations, and multiple relays in terms of the diversity-multiplexing tradeoff (DMT). We examine several subcases of this most general problem taking into account the processing capability of the relays (half-duplex or full-duplex), and the network geometry (clustered or nonclustered). We first study the multiple-antenna relay channel with a full-duplex relay to understand the effect of increased degrees of freedom in the direct link. We find DMT upper bounds and investigate the achievable performance of decode-and-forward (DF), and compress-and-forward (CF) protocols. Our results suggest that while DF is DMT optimal when all terminals have one antenna each, it may not maintain its good performance when the degrees of freedom in the direct link are increased, whereas CF continues to perform optimally. We also study the multiple-antenna relay channel with a half-duplex relay. We show that the half-duplex DMT behavior can significantly be different from the full-duplex case. We find that CF is DMT optimal for half-duplex relaying as well, and is the first protocol known to achieve the half-duplex relay DMT. We next study the multiple-access relay channel (MARC) DMT. Finally, we investigate a system with a single source-destination pair and multiple relays, each node with a single antenna, and show that even under the ideal assumption of full-duplex relays and a clustered network, this virtual multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system can never fully mimic a real MIMO DMT. For cooperative systems with multiple sources and multiple destinations the same limitation remains in effect.  相似文献
