Polypyrrole (PPy) was doped with the azocalix[4]arene [(5,11,17,23‐tetrakis[(p‐carboxyphenyl)azo]25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene)] host species. PPy/azocalix[4]arene salts were characterized by FTIR, TGA, SEM, X‐ray diffraction, and conductivity measurements. The properties of PPy were investigated in the presence of azocalix[4]arene host species. The conductivity of PPy increased in the presence of azocalix[4]arene. TGA results indicated that the PPy/azocalix[4]arene salts have higher thermal stability than PPy. The effects of increasing nitrobenzene (NB) concentrations and hydraulic retention time (HRT) on the performance of anaerobic baffled reactor (ABR) and aerobic completely stirred tank reactor (CSTR) were studied. In the first step the NB concentration was increased from 30 to 700 mg/L at constant COD and flowrates. Maximum COD removal efficiencies in ABR varied between 88-92% as NB concentrations increased from 30 to 210 mg/L. After this dose, COD removal efficiency decreased to 85 and 79% at NB concentrations of 550 and 700 mg/L, respectively. Removal efficiencies of NB were nearly 100% for all NB concentrations in ABR reactor effluent. In the second step, COD and NB concentrations were kept constant while HRT decreased from 10.38 days to 1 day. As HRT decreased from 10.38 to 2.5 days the COD removal efficiencies in the anaerobic and anaerobic/aerobic reactor effluents were 92-94% and 97-98%, respectively. As HRT decreased from 2.5 days to 1 day COD removal efficiencies in the anaerobic and anaerobic/aerobic reactor effluents decreased to 83 and 95%, respectively. This study showed that HRT is a more important operation parameter than increasing NB concentration in ABR/CSTR sequential reactor system. Although ABR/CSTR system exhibited good COD and NB removal efficiencies, the lower HRTs slightly decreased the removal efficiencies compared to increasing NB concentration. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of sodium perborate effervescent tablets and citric acid solution on the color stability and surface topography of a new generation of high‐performance polymer polyetherketoneketone (PEKK), thermoinjection‐molded polyamide, and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). Fifty disc‐shaped specimens were fabricated (10 mm × 2 mm) from PEKK (P group), polyamide (D group), and PMMA (M group). These groups were divided into five subgroups (n = 10) according to the storage media. The test groups were immersed in the following solutions: distilled water (Control), Corega, Protefix, Perlodent, and Curaprox. The color stability values (ΔE) were measured using a spectrophotometer before and after immersion in distilled water and four different denture cleansers for 8 hr/day for 140 days. Topography alterations after treatments were assessed with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Data were analyzed by one‐way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Tukey's Honest Significant Difference test. The p < .05 was considered significant. All denture cleansers increased the ΔE values relative to the baseline values in the M, D, and P groups (p < .05). The Perlodent denture cleanser demonstrated the highest ΔE value in all groups, which was unacceptable. Curaprox denture cleanser showed the lowest ΔE value in the M and D groups (p < .05). Curaprox in all groups showed a ?E value less than 3.7. For patients who have PEKK‐ and polyamide‐based prosthesis, the use of citric acid‐based cleansers may be more recommended than sodium perborate‐containing cleansers because of its clinically acceptable color changes on polymers in terms of color stability. 相似文献

Protonated form of poly(sulfonic acid diphenyl aniline) (p‐PSDA) was synthesized through oxidative chemical polymerization of sodium salt of diphenylamino‐4‐sulfonic acid in hydrochloric acid and then, its deprotonated form (PSDA) was obtained by neutralization with aqueous ammonium hydroxide solution. The samples were characterized by thermal analysis and Fourier Transform Infrared, Ultraviolet‐visible, 1H‐NMR spectroscopy techniques. Their dispersive surface energies as well as surface acidity and basicity were determined by inverse gas chromatography at temperatures between 313 and 353 K. The dispersive surface energy of p‐PSDA was found to be considerably lower but it increased with temperature while that of PSDA was close to those of conventional polymers and decreased slightly with temperature. According to the Schreiber's procedure, the surfaces of p‐PSDA and PSDA were found to be acidic and amphoteric, respectively. It was observed from the electron microscope images p‐PSDA chains can form self‐organized circular polydisperse micro‐sized aggregates in aqueous solutions while PSDA cannot self‐organize to form individual aggregates. Study on physiochemical structure and in vitro release behaviors of doxycycline‐loaded PCL microspheres 下载免费PDF全文
This study aimed to develop drug delivery system of doxycycline‐loaded polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres. The investigated microsphere formulation can be considered for local application in bone infections and degenerative joint diseases, which generally require long‐term treatments via systemic drugs. PCL‐14 kDa and 65 kDa were used in microsphere preparation. Before release, the microspheres were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The mean particle size of microspheres was in the range of 74–122 µm and their drug loadings ranged between 10 and 30%. In vitro release profiles were described using the Higuchi and the Korsmeyer–Peppas equations. Diffusion model was applied to experimental data for estimating diffusion coefficients of microspheres; calculated as between 4.5 × 10?10 and 9.5 × 10?10 cm2/s. Although long‐term release from microspheres of PCL‐14 kDa obeyed diffusion model, PCL‐65 kDa microspheres showed this tendency only for some period. Modeling studies showed that the drug release mechanism was mainly dependent on loading and molecular weight differences. Release behavior of PCL‐65 kDa microspheres, however, might be better represented by derivation of a different equation to model for the total release period. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. The aim of this study is to develop nanometer-thin epoxy-based films on aluminium alloy AA2024-T3 as a model coating system for high resolution corrosion studies. Spin coating was used for the layer-by-layer (LbL) deposition of poly-(ethylenimine) (PEI) and poly([o-cresyl glycidyl ether]-co-formaldehyde) (CNER) bilayers. The film chemistry and the cross-linking process were characterized by means of Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Ellipsometric data confirmed the linear increase of film thickness. The potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) results indicate the improvement of the film barrier properties with increasing film thickness. Mapping of the topography and the volta potential was performed by means of scanning Kelvin probe force microscopy (SKPFM). The results indicate the presence of a homogeneous film structure, while the intermetallic phases can still be identified below the coating. The SKPFM analysis confirmed that the model films are suitable for investigation of corrosion processes at the coating/metal interface. 相似文献

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is one of the most malignant central nervous system tumors, showing a poor prognosis and low survival rate. Therefore, deciphering the underlying molecular mechanisms involved in the progression of the GBM and identifying the key driver genes responsible for the disease progression is crucial for discovering potential diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets. In this context, access to various biological data, development of new methodologies, and generation of biological networks for the integration of multi-omics data are necessary for gaining insights into the appearance and progression of GBM. Systems biology approaches have become indispensable in analyzing heterogeneous high-throughput omics data, extracting essential information, and generating new hypotheses from biomedical data. This review provides current knowledge regarding GBM and discusses the multi-omics data and recent systems analysis in GBM to identify key biological functions and genes. This knowledge can be used to develop efficient diagnostic and treatment strategies and can also be used to achieve personalized medicine for GBM. 相似文献

The article presents the results of the EURAMET Project No. 927 ??Comparison of blackbodies for calibration of infrared ear thermometers (IRETs)??. The objective of the comparison was to determine the agreement of blackbodies used for the calibration of IRETs among European national laboratories. To verify the accuracy of an IRET, a suitable blackbody (BB) is needed. Such a blackbody related to the EN standard, designed for the calibration of ear thermometers and immersed in a stirred water bath, was provided for the comparison by the pilot laboratory. In this study, it is aimed to compare traditional and fuzzy FMEA in identifying areas that may pose risks and need improvement in Test and Calibration Laboratories. Within this scope, FMEA is used in ranking the possible risks. One hundred ninety-nine failures are detected in 91 inspections, carried out in the Test and Calibration Laboratories. Since FMEA uses experts’ evaluations, which are considered subjective, fuzzy logic is implemented to the approach where the evaluations are presented with linguistic variables. The comparison of FMEA and fuzzy FMEA showed that there exists a high correlation between these two analyses and the order of priority based on the Fuzzy Risk Priority Number calculation is overlapping with the Risk Priority Number sequence. Fuzzy FMEA can also be considered when the evaluations are not trustworthy or incomplete. Therefore, this study can be addressed as an example of how fuzzy implementation to FMEA substantially be used instead of traditional FMEA when there exist qualitative, subjective or incomplete evaluations, or in cases where traditional FMEA has troubles in practice. 相似文献
