The integration of actively‐functional receptors into nanoscale networks outperformed competent detection devices and other ion‐sensing designs. Synthesis of azo chromophores with long hydrophobic tails showed an ecofriendly sensing and an extreme selectivity for divalent mercury analytes. In order to tailor the tip to HgII ion‐sensing functionality, we manipulated the chromophores into nanoscale membrane discs, which led to small, easy‐to‐use optical sensor strips. The design of these hydrophobic probes into ordered pore‐based membranes transformed the ion‐sensing systems into smart, stable assemblies and portable laboratory assays. The nanosensor membrane strips with chemical and mechanical stability allowed for reversible, stable and reusable detectors without any structural damage, even under rigorous chemical treatment for several numbers of repeated cycles. The optical membrane strips provided HgII ion‐sensing recognition for both cost‐ and energy‐saving systems. Indeed, the synthetic strips proved to have an efficient ability for various analytical applications, targeting especially for on‐site and in situ chemical analyses, and for continuous monitoring of toxic HgII ions. On the proximity‐sensing front, these miniaturized nanomembrane strips can revolutionize the consumer and industrial market with the introduction of the probe surface‐mount naked‐eye ion‐sensor strips. 相似文献

A comprehensive study of the macrobenthic communities in the Kodungallur–Azhikode Estuary (KAE) was conducted during 2009–2011 period. A total of 18,846 organisms were collected, with 60% being malacostracans, followed by polychaetes (20%), molluscs (9%) and ‘others’ group (11%). A total of 79 species in 71 genera belonging to 49 families were identified, with 33 spp. being polychaetes, 26 spp. being malacostracans, 11 spp. being molluscs and 9 spp. being in the ‘others’ group. A single species of opportunistic amphipod (Americorophium triaeonyx) comprised more than 62.05% of the total numerical abundance of macrobenthos. The other dominant species were Obelia bidentata, Arcuatula senhousia, Cirolana fluviatilis, Prionospio cirrifera and Capitella sp. Canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) results indicated environmental parameters such as water column salinity, turbidity, sediment Eh, substratum type, chlorophyll‐a concentration, depth and organic matter in sediment were the significant factors influencing the distribution of macrobenthic species in the KAE. In recent days, the manufacture of automotive vehicles is dramatically enhanced worldwide. Most vehicle crashes are due to the drive distraction on the real highway roads and traffic-density. In this proposed method, a novel collision detection and avoidance algorithm are coined for Midvehicle Collision Detection and Avoidance System (MCDAS), addressing two scenarios, namely, (a) A rear-end collision avoidance with host vehicle under no front-end vehicle condition and (b) offset-based curvilinear motion under critical conditions, while, suitable parallel parking manoeuvring also addressed using offset-based curvilinear motion. The Monte Carlo analysis of the proposed MCDAS is demonstrated using the Constant Velocity (CV) manoeuvring strategy and simulated with real-time data using the NGSIM database.
In this paper, the machine-cell grouping problem is considered with the objective of minimising the total moves and minimising
the cell load variation. We first review the literature on machine-cell grouping involving meta-heuristics. Then we integrate
the most powerful non-traditional algorithms, genetic algorithm (GA) and simulated annealing (SA) with the most robust computer
programming language "C", for cell grouping. The computational results obtained by applying the genetic algorithm and simulated

23S rRNA from Escherichia coli was cleaved at single internucleotide bonds using ribonuclease H in the presence of appropriate chimeric oligonucleotides; the individual cleavage sites were between residues 384 and 385, 867 and 868, 1045 and 1046, and 2510 and 2511, with an additional fortuitous cleavage at positions 1117 and 1118. In each case, the 3' terminus of the 5' fragment was ligated to radioactively labeled 4-thiouridine 5'-,3'-biphosphate ("psUp"), and the cleaved 23S rRNA carrying this label was reconstituted into 50S subunits. The 50S subunits were able to associate normally with 30S subunits to form 70S ribosomes. Intra-RNA crosslinks from the 4-thiouridine residues were induced by irradiation at 350 nm, and the crosslink sites within the 23S rRNA were analyzed. The rRNA molecules carrying psUp at positions 867 and 1117 showed crosslinks to nearby positions on the opposite strand of the same double helix where the cleavage was located, and no crosslinking was detected from position 2510. In contrast, the rRNA carrying psUp at position 384 showed crosslinking to nt 420 (and sometimes also to 416 and 425) in the neighboring helix in 23S rRNA, and the rRNA with psUp at position 1045 gave a crosslink to residue 993. The latter crosslink demonstrates that the long helix 41-42 of the 23S rRNA (which carries the region associated with GTPase activity) must double back on itself, forming a "U-turn" in the ribosome. This result is discussed in terms of the topography of the GTPase region in the 50S subunit, and its relation to the locations of the 5S rRNA and the peptidyl transferase center. 相似文献
Heart failure is a major problem of public health, associated with poor outcome in the advanced stage, thus justifying its prevention. Primary prevention is based on the prevention and treatment of its principal etiologic factors, hypertension and coronary artery disease. Broad use of echocardiography or dosage of neurohormonal markers improve detection of asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction. In ischemic heart disease, coronary recanalisation prevents or limits left ventricular remodeling and dysfunction, even if the "open artery" theory has not been entirely proved. Understanding the deleterous role of neurohormonal stimulation results in a large use of ACE-inhibitors, which beneficial effect has been demonstrated also in case of asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction. Betablockers, already largely used after myocardial infarction, seem to have also a beneficial effect in heart failure: the same is probably also true for angiotensin II-antagonists. Double blocking of both the sympathetic nervous system and the angiotensin-aldosterone system seems to be recommended. More precisely understanding the pathways signaling the processes of ventricular remodeling and dysfunction points to new potential targets for a preventive treatment: endothelin receptors, apoptosis, oxidative stress, cytokines or even angiogenesis. 相似文献
In this paper, cat optimization algorithm for feature extraction in satellite image has been proposed. In cat optimization, cost function computes the pixel in the satellite image to preserve the boundary shape and avoid non-convex part of the contour of the image. However, the existing feature extraction optimization algorithm measures the distinct data framework and thematic information to insight land cover such as waterbody, urban and vegetation. The land cover is obtained from different optimized feature extraction algorithms never provide proper boundary shape and land feature. Furthermore, the proposed cat optimized algorithm distinguishes the inner, outer and extended boundary along with the land cover. The cat-optimised algorithm for low and high-resolution satellite image shows the better result of 85%, with the preserved convex region when compared with the existing feature extraction algorithm such as fuzzy and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). 相似文献
