In this study, a novel high selective UWB band pass filter (BPF) with dual notch band is presented. UWB BPF is realized using stub‐loaded multiple‐mode resonator (MMR). The MMR is constructed by loading a quintuple mode open stub at the centre in an asymmetric tri‐section stepped impedance resonator (ATSSIR). Five modes, including two odd modes and three even modes, placed within UWB band. Two transmission zeros generated by the fractal stub improve the passband selectivity greatly. Two half wavelength long fractal Hilbert resonators are embedded near I/O line to achieve notch bands at 5.1 and 5.9 GHz. Aperture‐backed interdigital coupled‐lines are implemented to improve the coupling. The proposed prototype is fabricated and tested. The measured insertion loss is observed to be within 1.5 dB over the passband. By virtue of two transmission zeros (TZs), on either side of the passband, at 5.1 and 5.9 GHz, respectively, the passband selectivity is achieved with measured roll‐off factor at around 34 dB/octave. The out‐of‐band rejection of the filter is greater than 22 dB up to 18 GHz. The simulated results are in good agreement with the measured responses. 相似文献

The paper focuses on issues in experimental design for identification of nonlinear multivariable systems. Perturbation signal design is analyzed for a hybrid model structure consisting of linear and neural network structures. Input signals, designed to minimize the effects of nonlinearities during the linear model identification for the multivariable case, have been proposed and its properties have been theoretically established. The superiority of the proposed perturbation signal and the hybrid model has been demonstrated through extensive cross validations. This paper proposes a path planner for serial manipulators with a large number of degrees of freedom, working in cluttered workspaces. Based on the variational principles, this approach involves formulating the path planning problem as constrained minimization of a functional representing the total joint movement over the complete path. We use modified boundary conditions at both ends of the trajectory to find more suitable start and end configurations. The concept of monotonic optimality is introduced in order to optimize the manipulator paths between the resulting end configurations. For obstacle avoidance, volume and proximity based penalizing schemes are developed and used. The presented planner uses a global approach to search for feasible paths and at the same time involves no pre-processing task. A variety of test cases have been presented to establish the efficacy of the presented scheme in providing good quality paths. The extent of advantage accruing out of the measures of free end-configurations and monotonic optimality are also analyzed quantitatively. 相似文献

This work presents a study of a passive micromixer with lateral obstructions along a microchannel. The mixing process is simulated by solving the continuity, momentum and diffusion equations. The mixing performance is quantified in terms of a parameter called ‘mixing efficiency’. A comparison of mixing efficiencies with and without obstructions clearly indicates the benefit of having obstructions along the microchannel. The numerical model was validated by comparing simulation results with experimental results for a micromixer. An extensive parametric study was carried out to investigate the influence of the geometrical and operational parameters in terms of the mixing efficiency and pressure drop, which are two important criteria for the design of micromixers. A very interesting observation reveals that there exists a critical Reynolds number (Re cr ~ 100) below which the mixing process is diffusion dominated and thus the mixing efficiency is reduced with increase in Re and above which the mixing process is advection dominated and mixing efficiency increases with increase in Re. Microchannels with symmetric and staggered protrusion arrangements were studied and compared. The mixing performance of the staggered arrangement was comparable with that of symmetric arrangement but the pressure drop was lower in the case of staggered arrangements making it more suitable. 相似文献
