A new approach for an efficient numerical implementation of the path integral (PI) method based on non-Gaussian transition probability density function (PDF) and the Gauss-Legendre integration scheme is developed. This modified PI method is used to solve the Fokker-Planck (FP) equation and to study the nature of the stochastic and chaotic response of the nonlinear systems. The steady state PDF, periodicity, jump phenomenon, noise induced changes in joint PDF of the states are studied by the modified PI method. A computationally efficient higher order, finite difference (FD) technique is derived for the solution of higher-dimensional FP equation. A two degree of freedom nonlinear system having Coulomb damping with a variable friction coefficient subjected to Gaussian white noise excitation is considered as an example which can represent a bladed disk assembly of turbo-machinery blades. The natural Saccharomyces and non-Saccharomyces yeast flora present on the grape berries significantly affect wine production. Six grape varieties, Bangalore blue, Zinfandel, Cabernet, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz are being used in India for wine making. The yeast diversity was studied on the basis of morphological, colony, physiological characteristics and 5.8S-ITS sequencing of rDNA of the isolates. Eleven different species belonging to seven genera were identified as: Candida azyma, Candida quercitrusa, Debaryomyces hansenii, Hanseniaspora guilliermondii, Hanseniaspora viniae, Hanseniaspora uvarum, Issatchenkia orientalis, Issatchenkia terricola, Pichia membranifaciens, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Zygoascus steatolyticus.H. guilliermondii was the predominant species while S. cerevisiae was observed occasionally in the six vine varieties. For the first time, C. azyma was isolated from Bangalore blue and Cabernet varieties grown in different localities. This association may be attributed to the change in cropping pattern from sugarcane to viticulture in the vine growing regions and the known association of C. azyma with sugarcane phylloplane. Further analysis of the indigenous strains and the qualitative and quantitative changes in the flora during fermentation will be useful to understand wine quality and to design preservation strategies to control wine spoilage. 相似文献

High energy beams of high ion currents from a Tandem accelerator are a common requirement in nuclear physics, materials science and Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) research. In many cases, molecular beams are chosen from the ion source to achieve a high ion source yield for the negative ions, or, as for AMS, to suppress isobaric interference. For this reason we have studied the use of consecutive stripper foils, double stripping, to increase the ion yield in conjunction with increased energy of injected molecular beams through a Tandem accelerator. In this paper, we propose a new fuzzy group multi-criteria decision making method and apply it to determine the critical path in a project network. The criteria used here are time (expected duration), cost, risk, and quality of the project activities that are considered critical in project management. As each criterion has its independent level of importance in the critical path selection, the weights of the project criteria are also considered in the analysis. Considering that the information in terms of various project activities and criteria weights are often incomplete and/or uncertain in real-world situations, the essential information in terms of the criteria and project activities are obtained using triangular fuzzy numbers and/or linguistic variables that are mapped to triangular fuzzy numbers, wherever appropriate. The proposed method involves fuzzy evaluation based on the fuzzy information of the possible project paths on each criterion leading to the strength and weakness index scores of the project paths. We define a measure of criticality termed as the total performance score of each project path obtained using its strength and weakness index scores. The path that has the highest measure of criticality is selected as the critical path. A numerical illustration is provided to demonstrate working of the proposed methodology. Further, a case study from manufacturing engineering industry is also presented to better justify the applicability and potentials of the proposed methodology. A comparison with closely related fuzzy multi-criteria decision methods for the critical path selection is done to analyze the performance of the proposed methodology. 相似文献
