Starting from 1,4,10,13-tetraoxa-7,16-diazacyclooctadecane, we have prepared two compounds by replacing the amine hydrogens with naphthyl or 3,5-bis(2′-oxymethylnaphthyl)benzyl units. The absorption and emission spectra of compounds 2 (N,N′-bis(2-naphthylmethyl)-1,4,10,13-tetraoxa-7,16-diazacyclooctadecane) and 3 (N,N′-bis[3,5-bis(2′-oxymethylnaphthyl)benzyl]-1,4,10,13-tetraoxa-7,16-diazacyclooctadecane) have been studied in CH3CN:CH2Cl2 1:1 (v/v) solution. For comparison purposes, the spectroscopic properties of N-methyl(2-methylnaphthalene)ethylamine (1) have also been investigated. For each compound, the absorption spectra are qualitatively very similar to that of naphthalene, with molar absorption coefficients as expected for the presence of one (1), two (2), and four (3) naphthyl chromophoric groups. The fluorescence spectra, however, are quite different from that of naphthalene. The naphthalene-type fluorescence (λmax = 337 nm) is strongly quenched, particularly for compounds 1 and 2 which also exhibit a broad emission band in the visible region (λmax ≈ 480 nm) assigned to a low lying charge-transfer excited state. In the case of compound 3, a quenched naphthalene-type band is accompanied by weak exciplex and excimer emissions. Upon titration with CF3SO3H, the charge transfer bands of 1 and 2 and the exciplex emission of 3 disappear and the naphthalene-type bands regain intensity. Titration plots show that in compounds 2 and 3 the protonation of the two nitrogens occurs stoichiometrically in two distinct steps. Titration with Zn2+ gives rise to 2.Zn2+ and 3.Zn2+ complexes. A sodium montmorillonite, Dellite HPS, was modified with ionic liquids based on phosphonium salts, such as octadecyltriphenylphosphonium tetrafluoroborate and octadecyltriphenylphosphonium bromide. Thanks to their high thermal stability, these salts can be used during in situ polymerization, a method that favors the achievement of a good dispersion of the clay. Poly(1,4‐dimethylcyclohexane adipate) (PCHA), was chosen as an example of aliphatic polyester which can be a suitable matrix for new biocomposites with organo‐clays. The organo modified clays prepared were characterized by X‐ray diffraction (XRD), ATR‐FTIR spectroscopy, and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) while biocomposites were analyzed in terms of molecular structure, thermal and thermomechanical properties. The degree of dispersion of the clays in the polymer matrix was studied by XRD. The results show that the clays are well dispersed in the biocomposites, despite an intercalated structure highlighted by XRD analysis. The hydrogeochemical study of the cold springs present in the Mt. Amiata geothermal area, where the Bagnore and Piancastagnaio geothermal fields are situated, has defined the different shallow groundwater systems.The cold groundwater temperature of the volcanic phreatic aquifer is largely correlated with the geothermal heat flow. Through the analysis of the temperature of cold groundwaters, a possible method for geothermal prospection has been developed, supported by the results obtained in the studied area. Through the enthalpic balance of the aquifer and in agreement with available data, a geothermal flow of about 200 mW m-2 has been calculated.  相似文献

The dynamics of a “peeling front” or an elastic line is studied under creep (constant load) conditions. Our experiments show in most cases an exponential dependence of the creep velocity on the inverse force (mass) applied. In particular, the dynamical correlations of the avalanche activity are discussed here. We compare various avalanche statistics to those of a line with non-local elasticity, and study various measures of the experimental avalanche-avalanche and temporal correlations such as the autocorrelation function of the released energy and aftershock activity. From all these we conclude, that internal avalanche dynamics seems to follow “line depinning”-like behavior, in rough agreement with the depinning model. Meanwhile, the correlations reveal subtle complications not implied by depinning theory. Moreover, we also show how these results can be understood from a geophysical point of view.  相似文献

This study describes the optimization and application of repetitive element‐PCR (rep‐PCR) technique directly on microbial DNA extracted from type I sourdoughs for fast monitoring of a Lb. plantarum starter strain (P1FMC) throughout daily back‐slopping. The challenge was to follow and study the performance of a starter culture directly in sourdoughs without cultivation on selective media. The extraction of good quality microbial DNA suitable for amplification from a complex matrix such as dough was the first target. In addition, the objective to obtain a clear rep‐PCR profile referable to a specific starter strain among a microbial community was pursued. Co‐inoculum trials, in flour matrix, with Lb. plantarum P1FMC and L. lactis LC71 strains and, subsequently, type I sourdough back‐slopping trials were performed. The rep‐PCR amplification profiles obtained were clearly referable to that of Lb. plantarum P1FMC starter in both co‐inoculum trials (also when it was present with one order of magnitude less with respect to L. lactis LC71) and back‐slopping trials where it dominated the fermentation process with loads of 108 cfu g?1 and prevailed on the autochthonous microbiota. Thus, the approach proposed in this paper could be considered a methodological advancement, based on a culture‐independent one‐step rep‐PCR, suitable for fast monitoring of starter performance.  相似文献

Caffeine is the most widely studied psychoactive molecule in history due to its many pharmacological activities and a high number of biological and physiological effects. In literature, there is a great number of applications that describe extraction, identification, and quantification of caffeine in foods and beverages. For this purpose, an extraction step is followed by an analytical technique for the identification and quantification of caffeine. This work proposes an innovative method in which sample preparation, separation, and detection steps are unified in a single step. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on the determination of caffeine in coffee, tea, and cocoa by means of an online extraction coupled to a liquid chromatographic system equipped with a photodiode array detector. The developed methodology was validated in terms of sensitivity, detection limits, accuracy, and precision. The advantages of this technique are (i) a significant reduction of analysis time (more than 70%) and of solvents used (the extraction step is integrated in the chromatographic analysis), (ii) the whole procedure is thus completely automated drastically reducing possible operator errors to occur, and (iii) easily realized by using a conventional monodimensional liquid chromatography system.  相似文献
