log-linear dependence of the productivity on the heating-element temperature. Aluminum, iron, and aluminum-oxide processing

The ultrasonic attenuation due to phonon–phonon interaction, thermoelastic relaxation and dislocation damping mechanisms has been investigated in cerium monopnictides CeX (X: N, P, As, Sb and Bi) for longitudinal and shear waves along \({\langle }100{\rangle }\), \({\langle }110{\rangle }\) and \({\langle }111{\rangle }\) directions. The second- and third-order elastic constants of CeX have also been computed in the temperature range 0 K to 500 K using Coulomb and Born–Mayer potential upto second nearest neighbours. The computed values of these elastic constants have been applied to find out Young’s moduli, bulk moduli, Breazeale’s non-linearity parameters, Zener anisotropy, ultrasonic velocity, ultrasonic Grüneisen parameter, thermal relaxation time, acoustic coupling constants and ultrasonic attenuation. The fracture/toughness ratio is less than 1.75, which shows that the chosen materials are brittle in nature as found for other monopnictides. The drag coefficient acting on the motion of screw and edge dislocations due to shear and compressional phonon viscosities of the lattice have also been evaluated for both the longitudinal and shear waves. The thermoelastic loss and dislocation damping loss are negligible in comparison to loss due to Akhieser damping (phonon–phonon interaction). The obtained results for CeX are in qualitative agreement with other semi-metallic monopnictides. 相似文献

Knowledge of the information goal of users is critical in website design, analyzing the efficacy of such designs, and in ensuring effective user-access to
desired information. Determining the information goal is complex due to the subjective and latent nature of user information
needs. This challenge is further exacerbated in media-rich websites since the semantics of media-based information is context-based
and emergent. A critical step in determining information goals lies in the identification of content pages. These are the pages which contain the information the user seeks. We propose a method to automatically determine the content
pages by taking into account the organization of the web site, the media-based information content, as well as the influence
of a specific user browsing pattern. Given a specific browsing pattern, in our method, putative content pages are identified
as the pages corresponding to the local minima of page-content entropy values. For an (unknown) user information goal this
intuitively corresponds to modeling the progressive transition of the user from pages with generic information to those with
specific information. Experimental investigations on media rich sites demonstrate the effectiveness of the technique and underline
its potential in modeling user information needs and actions in a media-rich web. 相似文献

We discuss spatially homogeneous and locally rotationally symmetric Bianchi type V cosmological models under the influence
of both bulk and shear viscosity coefficients with heat flow. Some exact solutions of the Einstein field equations are presented
by using a law of variation for the generalized Hubble parameter that yields a constant value of the deceleration parameter.
The law also generates power-law and exponential forms of the average scale factor in terms of the cosmic time t. To get a complete solution, a linear relation between the shear viscosity and the expansion scalar has been assumed. The
presence of viscous terms, however, does not change the fundamental nature of the initial singularity. The solutions presented
here satisfy all necessary conditions for physical acceptability. The thermodynamical relations, entropy production and energy

Simulation and stability analysis of neural network based control scheme for switched linear systems
This paper proposes a new adaptive neural network based control scheme for switched linear systems with parametric uncertainty and external disturbance. A key feature of this scheme is that the prior information of the possible upper bound of the uncertainty is not required. A feedforward neural network is employed to learn this upper bound. The adaptive learning algorithm is derived from Lyapunov stability analysis so that the system response under arbitrary switching laws is guaranteed uniformly ultimately bounded. Temporal jitter in a magnetic pulse compression based copper vapor laser (CVL) system is analyzed by considering ripple present in the input dc power supply and ripple present in the magnetic core resetting power supply. It is shown that the jitter is a function of the ratio of operating voltage to the designed voltage, percentage ripple, and the total propagation delay of the magnetic pulse compression circuit. Summary This paper deals with the free non-symmetric vibration of deep spherical sandwich shells. The sandwich shell considered herein consists of three layers. A variational technique is utilized to obtain the equations of motion as well as the appropriate boundary conditions. The effects of transverse shear deformation and rotary inertia have been included in this analysis.New deformation functions have been introduced which considerably simplify the system of differential equations. A range of potentially bioactive ceramic coatings, based on combinations of either hydroxyapatite (HA) or titanium oxide nanoparticles with carbon nanotubes (CNTs), have been deposited on metallic substrates, using electrophoretic deposition (EPD). Sol–gel derived, ultrafine HA powders (10–70 nm) were dispersed in multi-wall nanotube-containing ethanol suspensions maintained at pH = ∼3.5 and successfully coated onto Ti alloy wires at 20 V for 1–3 min For TiO2/CNT coatings, commercially available titania nanopowders and surface-treated CNTs in aqueous suspensions were co-deposited on stainless steel planar substrates. A field strength of 20 V/cm and deposition time of 4 min were used working at pH = 5. Although the co-deposition mechanism was not investigated in detail, the evidence suggests that co-deposition occurs due to the opposite signs of the surface charges (zeta potentials) of the particles, at the working pH. Electrostatic attraction between CNTs and TiO2 particles leads to the creation of composite particles in suspension, consisting of TiO2 particles homogenously attached onto the surface of individual CNTs. Under the applied electric field, these net negatively charged “composite TiO2/CNT” elements migrate to and deposit on the anode (working electrode). The process of EPD at constant voltage conditions was optimised in both systems to achieve homogeneous and reasonably adhered deposits of varying thicknesses on the metallic substrates. 相似文献
