In various applications from radar processing to mobile communication systems based on CDMA or OFDM, M-AR multichannel processes are often considered and may be combined with Kalman filtering. However, the estimations of the M-AR parameter matrices and the autocorrelation matrices of the additive noise and the driving process from noisy observations are key problems to be addressed. In this paper, we suggest solving them as an errors-in-variables issue. In that case, the noisy-observation autocorrelation matrix compensated by a specific diagonal block matrix and whose kernel is defined by the M-AR parameter matrices must be positive semi-definite. Hence, the parameter estimation consists in searching every diagonal block matrix that satisfies this property, in reiterating this search for a higher model order and then in extracting the solution that belongs to both sets. A comparative study is then carried out with existing methods including those based on the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) and the Sigma-Point Kalman Filters (SPKF). It illustrates the relevance and advantages of the proposed approaches.  相似文献

Acetate non-utilizing strains harbouring trans-dominant mutations in the GPR1 gene (GPR1(d)) of the dimorphic yeast Yarrowia lipolytica have been selected and characterized. These mutants are highly sensitive to low concentrations of acetic acid and ethanol, even in presence of glucose. The toxic effect of acetic acid is pH-dependent and has the strongest effect at low pH. In contrast, the action of ethanol is pH-independent. One GPR1(d) mutant has been detected that was highly sensitive to acetic acid but could still grow on ethanol, which indicates putative differences in the function of the GPR1 gene product in the sensitivity to acetic acid and ethanol. The GPR1(d) mutants exhibit a complex pleiotropic phenotype. The mutations cause changed colony morphology as well as dimorphism of cells, and induce early cell death during growth on glucose, even without the presence of dicarbon compounds. Composition of intracellular membranes, as well as morphology of vacuole and mitochondria, were strongly changed. Back-crosses with wild-type strains and analysis of recombinant strains have shown that the expression of the pleiotropic phenotype depends on the site of mutation in the GPR1 gene, as well as on the genetic background of the strain harbouring the responsive mutation. Our data suggest that Gpr1p is involved in a general response of cells to the toxic action of dicarbon compounds like acetic acid and ethanol.  相似文献

A clock-cycle accurate synchronization technique for fully integrated data-converters is presented. Only a single cable is needed to distribute both the required synchronization signal and the converter clock. Different possible implementations, both to generate and decompose the distributed signal, are presented. A discrete component generator circuit is discussed. To avoid setup and hold time violations, on-chip signal reconstruction is unavoidable. A 40 nm CMOS recovery circuit was developed. Simulation results, including layout parasitics, show the wide frequency operating range of the proposed technique.  相似文献

The design and measurements of a 200?GHz downconverter in 90?nm standard CMOS are presented. A positive conversion gain of +6.6?dB, a noise figure of 29.9?dB and an output bandwidth of 3?GHz are measured for an LO power of ?14.9?dBm. The conversion gain remains within 3?dB for an RF frequency between 186 and 212?GHz. Downconversion of BPSK and QPSK signals is demonstrated with eye diagrams and constellation plots with data rates over 4?Gbit/s. A mathematical analysis is made of the MOSFETs in the triode region and a new small-signal parameter κ is introduced, which enables the design of the mixing transistors for minimum conversion loss.  相似文献

Smart cities are built upon information and communication technologies (ICTs) to enable a broad range of advanced services. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study identified four pitfalls brought by the pervasive application of ICT, including information insecurity, privacy leakage, information islands, and digital divide. Therefore, a questionnaire survey together with 27 interviews was conducted in Hong Kong to investigate how the public perceived these pitfalls within the context of mobile apps providing real-time parking information which form a major part of smart mobility. System insecurity and privacy leakage were found to arouse worries among the app-users while their awareness of protecting personal data was found to have room for improvement. Islands of real-time parking information occur as a result of the lack of collaboration among private carpark operators. Digital divide existed widely among the disadvantaged groups and the problem cannot be solved by mere provision of ICT facilities. Overall, technologies alone cannot make a city smart or smarter. It is the suitable way in which ICTs are used to serve all citizens that matters.  相似文献

A bioengineered spinal cord is fabricated via extrusion‐based multimaterial 3D bioprinting, in which clusters of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)‐derived spinal neuronal progenitor cells (sNPCs) and oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs) are placed in precise positions within 3D printed biocompatible scaffolds during assembly. The location of a cluster of cells, of a single type or multiple types, is controlled using a point‐dispensing printing method with a 200 µm center‐to‐center spacing within 150 µm wide channels. The bioprinted sNPCs differentiate and extend axons throughout microscale scaffold channels, and the activity of these neuronal networks is confirmed by physiological spontaneous calcium flux studies. Successful bioprinting of OPCs in combination with sNPCs demonstrates a multicellular neural tissue engineering approach, where the ability to direct the patterning and combination of transplanted neuronal and glial cells can be beneficial in rebuilding functional axonal connections across areas of central nervous system (CNS) tissue damage. This platform can be used to prepare novel biomimetic, hydrogel‐based scaffolds modeling complex CNS tissue architecture in vitro and harnessed to develop new clinical approaches to treat neurological diseases, including spinal cord injury.  相似文献

New bionanoparticles have been prepared from horse spleen ferritin by grafting thermoresponsive poly(N‐isopropyl acrylamide) (PNIPAAm) and photo‐crosslinkable 2‐(dimethyl maleinimido)‐N‐ethyl‐acrylamide (DMIAAm) from the protein surface. The 72 addressable amino groups on the exterior of HSF were modified with N‐hydroxysuccinimide‐activated 2‐bromo‐isobutyrate to form a macro‐initiator for atom transfer radical polymerization, which was performed in water/DMF solutions at low temperature. The modification of the HSF and the presence of the polymer shell were confirmed by size exclusion chromatography (SEC), sodium dodecyl sulfate‐polyacrylamide gel‐electrophoresis, transmission electron microscopy, and scanning force microscopy. The thermoresponsive behavior of the ferritin‐PNIPAAm conjugates was investigated in solution by UV–vis spectroscopy showing a phase transition in the form of a cloud point around 32 °C. Further, dynamic light scattering revealed an increasing hydrodynamic radius around this transition, indicating aggregation of the particles at elevated temperatures which was confirmed by transmission electron microscopy. Initial experiments show that the particles are highly surface active, much more than the individual components alone, which was demonstrated by pendant‐drop interfacial tension measurements. This leads to the fact that they form stable Pickering emulsions, i.e., emulsion droplets decorated with polymer‐modified bionanoparticles which can be cross‐linked successively. This allows the formation of capsules with thermoresponsiveness for controlled release purposes, e.g., in drug delivery.  相似文献

Herein, the novel concept of a solid‐state electrode materials with ionic‐liquid (IL) properties is presented. These composite materials are a mixture of electroactive matter, an electronic conductor, a solid‐state ionic conductor and a polymeric binder. The approach of a solid‐state ionic conductor combines the high safety of an IL with the nanoconfinement of such a liquid in a mesoporous silica framework, an ionogel, thus leading to a solid with liquid‐like ionic properties. The same ionic conductor is also used as a solid‐state separator to evaluate the properties of our solid‐state electrode materials in all‐solid‐state batteries. Such a concept of a solid‐state electrode material contributes to addressing the challenge of energy storage, which is one of the major challenges of the 21st century. The ionogel, along with its processability, allows a single‐step preparation of the assembly of the solid‐state electrode and solid‐electrolyte separator and can be applied without specific adaptation to present, thick electrodes prepared by the widespread tape‐casting technique. The filling of the electrode porosity by an ionogel is shown by elemental mapping using scanning electron microscopy, and is subsequently confirmed by electrochemical measurements. The ionogel approach is successfully applied without specific adaptation to two state‐of‐the‐art, positive electroactive materials developed for future‐generation lithium‐ion batteries, namely LiFePO4 and LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2.  相似文献

The breakdown (BD) kinetics of dielectrics represent a crucial issue for the reliability of microelectronics devices. In this paper, we report on an innovative and practical approach based on Conductive Atomic Force Microscopy (C-AFM) for the determination of the BD kinetics on a bare insulator surface. This technique has been applied to Pr2O3 films grown by Metal-Organic Chemical Vapour Deposition (MOCVD) on Si(0 0 1) and to thermally grown SiO2 on 4H-SiC substrates. C-AFM clearly visualizes single breakdown spots under constant voltage stresses. The stress time on the C-AFM tip was varied from 1 × 10−3 to 1 × 10−1 s. The density of BD spots, upon increasing the stress time, exhibits in both cases an exponential trend. The Weibull slope of the dielectric BD statistics has been determined by direct measurements at nanometer scale on different dielectrics having different physical thicknesses. The comparison of the Weibull slopes obtained for different dielectric thicknesses with literature data points out intrinsic and extrinsic BD events in the SiO2/SiC system and Pr2O3 based layers, respectively. In the case of the SiO2/SiC system, BD kinetics have been demonstrated to follow the percolation model, while the role of extrinsic phenomena in the BD of Pr2O3 films has been proved.  相似文献
