In this contribution we present a new CORDIC architecture called ‘semi-flat’ which reduces considerably the latency time and the amount of hardware. In our semi-flat architecture the first rotations are executed with an unfolded scheme but the remaining iterations are flattened using a fast redundant addition tree. Detailed comparisons with other major contributions show that our semi-flat redundant CORDIC is 30% faster and occupy 39% less silicon area. 相似文献

Photoelectric characteristics of films of the Pb0.902Sn0.098Se solid solution based on the four-layer (SnSe-PbSe)2 composition obtained by layer-by-layer hydrochemical synthesis with subsequent heat treatment in air within the temperature
range 523–700 K are investigated. The measurements are performed in the temperature range 220–300 K. The thermal and optical
band gaps, temperature coefficient of the optical band gap, dark resistance, volt-watt sensitivity, and spectral characteristics
are determined. It is established that, at heat treatment temperatures below 573 K, the conductivity of the four-layer (SnSe-PbSe)2 compositions is characteristic of metals, while at higher temperatures, it is characteristic of p-type semiconductors. 相似文献

In a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) based Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system, both Access Points (APs) and Mobile Terminals (MTs) are configured with multiple antennas, to make novel indoor geo-location method possible. In this paper, we presented a novel Least Square Support Vector Machine (LS-SVM) based data fusion algorithm to fuse signal strength measurements for indoor geo-location using only a single AP with MIMO arrays. We evaluate our proposed algorithms under indoor environments by MATLAB simulations. Simulation results show that our MIMO-based algorithm is superior to conventional least square algorithm. 相似文献

This paper focuses on the quantitative analysis issue of the routing metrics tradeoff problem, and presents a Quantified Cost-Balanced overlay multicast routing scheme (QCost-Balanced) to the metric tradeoff problem between overlay path delay and access bandwidth at Multicast Server Nodes (MSN) for real-time applications over Internet. Besides implementing a dynamic priority to MSNs by weighing the size of its service clients for better efficiency, QCost-Balanced tradeoffs these two metrics by a unified tradeoff metric based on quantitative analysis. Simulation experiments demonstrate that the scheme achieves a better tradeoff gain in both two metrics, and effective performance in metric quantitative control. 相似文献

Up to date, MOSFETs have been made through well established techniques that use SiO2 as the gate dielectric and the related design issues are well established. The need to scale down device dimensions allowed researchers to seek for alternative materials, in order to replace SiO2 as the gate dielectric. The implementation of such MOS devices in memory or logic circuits needs to take into account the effects that the use of the new gate dielectrics has on parameters such as the threshold voltage and the drain current. Hence, parameters such as the high dielectric constant values, extra oxide charges and process related defects at the physical level must be taken into account during the device design. As far as circuit applications are concerned, these changes may substantially affect the required performance. This paper presents and provides proposals about the issue of replacing commonly used parameters of the MOSFET modelling with new parameters, in which the presence of a gate dielectric with different properties from those of SiO2 is taken into account. A stepwise procedure is described for the new device design. Moreover, a case study is presented which examines a memory circuit built up by such new technology devices. In particular, this paper presents and analyses the design of a DRAM cell made up of MOSFETs with an alternative gate dielectric. The 90 nm technology and the BSIM4 model equations are used to derive the single MOSFET behaviour and subsequently the DRAM circuit performance. The results are analysed and compared to those obtained from conventional SiO2 devices. A cell layout is provided and the DRAM circuit characteristics are also presented. 相似文献

Much evidence has accumulated that implicates the oxidative modification of low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) in the early stages of atherogenesis. The antioxidant nutrients alpha‐tocopherol, ascorbic acid, and beta‐carotene have been shown to inhibit in vitro LDL oxidation. In addition, they have been shown to increase the resistance of LDL to oxidation when given to animals and humans. Because plasma levels of these nutrients can be increased by dietary supplementation with minimal side effects, they may show promise in the prevention of coronary artery disease. 相似文献

A new method called RS-MSVM (Rough Set and Multi-class Support Vector Machine) is proposed for network intrusion detection. This method is based on rough set followed by MSVM for attribute reduction and classification respectively, The number of attributes of the network data used in this paper is reduced from 41 to 30 using rough set theory. The kernel function of HVDM-RBF (Heterogeneous Value Difference Metric Radial Basis Function), based on the heterogeneous value difference metric of heterogeneous datasets, is constructed for the heterogeneous network data. HVDM-RBF and one-against-one method are applied to build MSVM. DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) intrusion detection evaluating data were used in the experiment. The testing results show that our method outperforms other methods mentioned in this paper on six aspects: detection accuracy, number of support vectors, false positive rate, falsc negative rate, training time and testing time. 相似文献

We estimated and experimentally verified the output phase and intensity characteristics versus the applied voltage of an InP-based Mach-Zehnder modulator from the measured data of refractive index and loss variations specific to the phase section material (Fabry-Perot method). We have then simulated the propagation performance of a Mach-Zehnder modulator taking into account the possible phase-shift between both arm of the interferometer. In total agreement with experimental results, we show that the simple single-arm modulation scheme does not require high voltages and that the /spl pi/-phase-shifted Mach-Zehnder modulator is far more convenient for a 10-Gb/s propagation over standard dispersive fiber than a symmetrical modulator. 相似文献

The experimental implementation of an adiabatic coupling technique for efficient coupling between photonic crystal single-line defect waveguides and coupled-cavity waveguides is reported. The samples were fabricated in a silicon-on-insulator substrate using 248-nm-deep ultraviolet lithography. Experimental results are compared with three-dimensional (3-D) finite-difference time-domain simulations.
