This paper addresses the target tracking problem using time difference of arrival (TDOA) and frequency difference of arrival (FDOA) measured by moving sensor network whose position and velocity are noise contaminated. It is a known fact that the existing approaches to this problem still have two unsolved technical issues; the unsatisfactory convergence behavior of the tracking filter mainly caused by severe nonlinearity of the problem itself and the tracking performance degradation due to the sensor position and velocity errors. In order to resolve these matters radically, the given target tracking problem is formulated as the robust state estimation problem of the linear system with stochastic uncertainties in its measurement matrix and solved by using the robust Kalman filter theory. The proposed scheme enables us to overcome the inherent limitations of the conventional nonlinear filters for its linear filter structure. It can also prevent the performance degradation due to imperfect sensor position and velocity information. Through the simulations, the effectiveness and reliable target tracking performance of the proposed method are demonstrated.  相似文献

To date, there have been no efficient semiconductor light emitters operating in the green and amber wavelengths. This study reports on the synthesis of InGaN nanowire photonic crystals, including dot‐in‐nanowires, nanotriangles, and nanorectangles with precisely controlled size, spacing, and morphology, and further demonstrates that bottom‐up InGaN photonic crystals can exhibit highly efficient and stable emission. The formation of stable and scalable band edge modes in defect‐free InGaN nanowire photonic crystals is directly measured by cathodoluminescence studies. The luminescence emission, in terms of both the peak position (λ ≈ 505 nm) and spectral linewidths (full‐width‐half‐maximum ≈ 12 nm), remains virtually invariant in the temperature range of 5–300 K and under excitation densities of 29 W cm?2 to 17.5 kW cm?2. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of the absence of Varshni and quantum‐confined Stark effects in wurtzite InGaN light emitters—factors that contribute significantly to the efficiency droop and device instability under high‐power operation. Such distinct emission properties of InGaN photonic crystals stem directly from the strong Purcell effect, due to efficient coupling of the spontaneous emission to the highly stable and scalable band‐edge modes of InGaN photonic crystals, and are ideally suited for uncooled, high‐efficiency light‐emitting‐diode operation.  相似文献

Operational performance in military settings involves physical and mental skills that are generally investigated separately in lab settings, leading to reduced ecological validity. Therefore, we investigated the effects of anxiety and exercise-induced fatigue, separately and in combination, on cognitive and shooting performance of 22 soldiers in a real-world setting. Findings indicated that soldiers' shooting accuracy and decision-making and mathematical skills decreased significantly under anxiety. Whether exercise-induced fatigue was beneficial or detrimental to task performance depended on the task at hand. The increased arousal levels through exercise prevented shooting accuracy from deteriorating in the decision task. In contrast, cognitive performance suffered from the increased arousal: participants more often failed to shoot when being fired at by an opponent and also math performance seemed to decrease. We conclude that anxiety can deteriorate soldier performance and that exercise-induced fatigue may improve or deteriorate performance in combination with anxiety depending on the nature of the task.

Practitioner Summary: Soldiers encounter anxiety and exercise-induced fatigue. We investigated to what degree these factors influence soldiers' shooting and cognitive performance. Experimental manipulation of anxiety and exercise during a representative field course indicated decreased performance under anxiety. Exercise prevented shooting accuracy from deteriorating under anxiety, although cognitive performance was negatively affected after exercise.  相似文献

In this work, we present the hierarchical object-driven action rules; a hybrid action rule extraction approach that combines key elements from both the classical action rule mining approach, first proposed by Ra? and Wieczorkowska (2000), and the more recent object-driven action rule extraction approach proposed by Hajja et al. (2012, 2013), to extract action rules from object-driven information systems. Action rules, as defined in Ra? and Wieczorkowska (2000), are actionable tasks that describe possible transitions of instances from one state to another with respect to a distinguished attribute, called the decision attribute. Recently, a new specialized case of action rules, namely object-driven action rules, has been introduced by Hajja et al. (2012, 2013). Object-driven action rules are action rules that are extracted from information systems with temporal and object-based nature. By object-driven information systems, we mean systems that contain multiple observations for each object, in which objects are determined by an attribute that assumingly defines some unique distribution; and by temporally-based information systems, we refer to systems in which each instance is attached to a timestamp that, by definition, must have an intrinsic meaning for each corresponding instance. Though the notion of object-driven and temporal-based action rules had its own successes, some argue that the essence of object-driven assumptions, which is in big part the reason for its effectiveness, are imposing few limitations as well. Object-driven approaches treat entire systems as multi-subsystems for which action rules are extracted from; as a result, more accurate and specific action rules are extracted. However, by doing so, our diverseness of the extracted action rules are much less apparent, compared to the outcome when applying the classical action rule extraction approach, which treats information systems as a whole. For that reason, we propose a hybrid approach which builds a hierarchy of clusters of subsystems; a novel way of clustering through treatments responses similarities is introduced.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Ubiquitous environments have considerable potential to provide services supporting daily activities (using public transportation to and from workplace, using ATM machines, selecting and purchasing goods in ticketing or vending machines, etc.) in order to assist people with disabilities. Nevertheless, the ubiquitous service providers generally supply generic user interfaces which are not usually accessible for all potential end users. In this article, a case study to verify the adequacy of the user interfaces automatically generated by the Egoki system for two supporting ubiquitous services adapted to young adults with moderate intellectual disabilities was presented. The task completion times and the level of assistance required by participants when using the interfaces were analyzed. Participants were able to access services through a tablet and successfully complete the tasks, regardless of their level of expertise and familiarity with the service. Moreover, results indicate that their performance and confidence improved with practice, as they required fewer direct verbal and pointer cues to accomplish tasks. By applying observational methods during the experimental sessions, several potential improvements for the automated interface generation process were also detected.  相似文献

Bin packing problems are NP-hard combinatorial optimization problems of fundamental importance in several fields, including computer science, engineering, economics, management, manufacturing, transportation, and logistics. In particular, the non-guillotine version of the single-objective two-dimensional bin packing problem with rotations is a highly complex scheduling problem that consists in packing a set of items into the minimum number of bins, where items can be rotated 90° and are characterized by having different heights and widths. Recently, some authors have proposed multi-objective formulations that also consider additional objectives, such as the balancing the bin load in order to increase its stability. The load imbalance minimization, which depends on the distribution of the items packed in them, is a critical point in many real applications. This paper analyzes how to solve two-dimensional bin packing problems with rotations and load balancing using parallel and multi-objective memetic algorithms that apply a set of search operators specifically designed to solve this problem. Results obtained using a set of test problems show the good performance of parallel and multi-objective memetic algorithms in comparison with other methods found in the literature.  相似文献

Carbonyl levels in indoor and outdoor air in Mexico City and Xalapa,Mexico   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
Carbonyl compounds in air were measured at two houses, three museums, and two offices. All sites lacked air-conditioning systems. Although indoor and outdoor air was measured simultaneously at each site, the sites themselves were sampled in different dates. Mean concentrations were higher in indoor air. Outdoor means concentrations of acetone were the highest in all sites, ranging from 12 to 60 microg m(-3). In general, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde had similar mean concentrations, ranging from 4 to 32 and 6 to 28 microg m(-3), respectively. Formaldehyde and acetone mean indoor concentrations were the highest, ranging from 11 to 97 and 17 to 89 microg m(-3), respectively, followed by acetaldehyde with 5 to 47 microg m(-3). Formaldehyde and acetaldehyde had the highest mean concentration in the offices where there were smokers. Propionaldehyde and butyraldehyde concentrations did not show definite differences between indoor and outdoor air. In general, the highest outdoor and indoor hourly concentrations were observed from 10:00 to 15:00 h. Mean indoor/outdoor ratios of carbonyls exceeded 1. Formaldehyde and acetaldehyde risks were higher in smoking environments.  相似文献
