A high-manganese austenitic steel matrix composite (Fe-1.42%C-16.02%Mn-0.447%Si-0.288%Al-0.34%Cr-0.028%S-0.25%P-3.02%Ti-3.0%W, all in wt.%) reinforced with in-situ (Ti,W)C was synthesized by conventional melting and casting route. It has been found that the concentration of Ti decreases whereas the concentration of tungsten increases from core to the periphery of the (Ti,W)C particulates. The abrasive wear resistance of as-cast (Ti,W)C-reinforced composite is better than that of the as-cast high-manganese austenitic steel matrix material. 相似文献

Today the Very Large Scale Industry (VLSI) is looking towards process solutions, which will avoid the problems associated with the conventional or presently employed technologies. This demand has become more intense with the VLSI industry extending their horizons towards Micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) based devices and Application-Specific Integrated Circuits ASICs). The areas of concern are development of high-k dielectric thin films, highly conducting polysilicon thin films, ultra thin diffusion barriers on low dielectric constant layers with electromigration resistant metal interconnects. Over the last few years, work carried out on the hot wire chemical vapor process (HWCVP) has shown that, this technique has great potential to yield the desired materials at low processing temperatures. This research paper aims to determine the genetic origin of the chemical elements in groundwater. It deals with the results of physicochemical parameters, to evaluate the hydro-geochemistry of groundwater in rural-urban fringe of district Bareilly, India. Pre- and post-monsoon sampling has been carried out, which reveals inter-seasonal variability effect on the hydro-geochemical processes. Geochemical modeling especially computation of saturation index was undertaken using the WATEQ4F model. Majority of samples fall in the category of undersaturation, which further suggests that groundwater still has potential to dissolve more minerals. Chemical categorizations of groundwater samples were performed with the help of the Aquachem model. Grouping of groundwater on the Piper diagram reveals a common composition and origin. In most of the area, water facies is of Ca(2+)-HCO(3)(-) type in both the seasons. It also indicates that in pre-monsoon, ion exchange is the dominant process, whereas in post-monsoon, both ion exchanges as well as reverse ion exchanges are reported in the groundwater of the study area. 相似文献

In this paper, the relationship between the number of unit-cells used in the design of a frequency selective surface (FSS) and its expected directivity is established. The relationship between the number of FSS unit-cells and the directivity is based on the planer microstrip patch array antenna design concept where the unit-cell is treated as the superstrate illuminated by the source. To validate the proposed technique, the analytical value of the directivity has been compared with that of ray-tracing method. The directivity of antenna is calculated for two different planar array configurations at 600 GHz. The results of numerical analysis are compared to that of the full-wave electromagnetic simulator CST Microwave Studio and results are comparable. Developments in self‐assembly methods allow access to hierarchical materials featuring a wide range of functionality and applications. Polymer‐based self‐assembly of nanoparticles opens up new avenues for the fabrication of highly structured nanocomposites that can serve as bridges between ‘bottom‐up’ and ‘top‐down’ methods. Of various interactions leading to self‐assembly of nanocomposites, hydrogen bonding and electrostatic interactions are commonly utilized. In this review, we illustrate the design and subsequent property tuning of various self‐assembled nanocomposite materials that were developed based on these interactions. Glass fibre reinforced epoxy composites were fabricated from the matrix resins diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) and triglycidyl-p-aminophenol (TGAP) using diethylene triamine as curing agent. The epoxy laminates were evaluated for their mechanical properties, dielectrical properties and chemical resistance. Significant improvement in fiexural strength but a slight deterioration in dielectrical properties were observed on incorporation of an epoxy fortifier into the resin system before fabricating the composites. 相似文献

A rapid solidification melt spinning technique has been developed to produce amorphous powders of Fe-Nd-B alloys modified with hafnium diboride. The amorphous powders are consolidated by the hot extrusion technique into bulk magnets of various cross sections. Consolidated magnets show ultrafine grain structure stabilized by ultrafine submicron hafnium diboride particles. The extruded magnets develop strong texture-induced magnetic anisotropy which leads to attractive energy product values of up to 16MGOe. Significant improvement in coercivity is also achieved due to ultrafine grain structure of the extruded magnets. 相似文献
