Multiferroic materials have driven significant research interest due to their promising technological potential. Developing new room‐temperature multiferroics and understanding their fundamental properties are important to reveal unanticipated physical phenomena and potential applications. Here, a new room temperature multiferroic nanocomposite comprised of an ordered ferrimagnetic spinel α‐LiFe5O8 (LFO) and a ferroelectric perovskite BiFeO3 (BFO) is presented. It is observed that lithium (Li)‐doping in BFO favors the formation of LFO spinel as a secondary phase during the synthesis of LixBi1?xFeO3 ceramics. Multimodal functional and chemical imaging methods are used to map the relationship between doping‐induced phase separation and local ferroic properties in both the BFO‐LFO composite ceramics and self‐assembled nanocomposite thin films. The energetics of phase separation in Li doped BFO and the formation of BFO‐LFO composites are supported by first principles calculations. These findings shed light on Li's role in the formation of a functionally important room temperature multiferroic and open a new approach in the synthesis of light element doped nanocomposites for future energy, sensing, and memory applications.  相似文献

The combined efforts of the AFD supplier and end-user have resulted in an extremely reliable electrical adjustable speed drive system. Almost three years into the run of the first unit, all parties are confident of the ability to meet the five-year run target that was identified at the outset. The redundancy of the power cells in this particular design, together with the neutral shift control has practically eliminated the power components as a source of operational failure. Future development efforts will include applying redundancy and fault tolerance to the drive control processor to further enhance system reliability.  相似文献

Newly designed series of indole-containing pyrazole analogs, pyrazolinylindoles, were synthesized, and their structures were confirmed based on the spectral data of the 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and HR-MS analyses. Preliminary anti-cancer activity testings were carried out by the National Cancer Institute, United States of America (NCI, USA). Compounds HD02, HD05, and HD12 demonstrated remarkable cytotoxic activities against nine categories of cancer types based cell line panels which included leukemia, colon, breast, melanoma, lungs, renal, prostate, CNS, and ovarian cancer cell lines. The highest cytotoxic effects were exhibited by the compounds HD02 [1-(5-(1-H-indol-3-yl)-3-(p-tolyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-2-phenylethanone], HD05 [1-(3-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(1H-indol-3-yl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-2-phenoxyethanone], and HD12 [(3-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(1H-indol-3-yl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)(pyridin-4-yl)methanone] against some of the 56 types of NCI-based cell lines in different panels. Compound HD05 showed the maximum range of cancer cell growth inhibitions against all categories of the cell lines in all nine panels. On average, in comparison to the referral standard, imatinib, at a dose level of 10 µM, the HD05 showed significant activity against leukemia in the range of 78.76%, as compared to the imatinib at 9% of cancer cells’ growth inhibitions. Molecular docking simulation studies were performed in silico on the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase, in order to validate the activity.  相似文献

In order to explore the effects of chemical composition on the rheological behavior o filled polymeric systems, we prepared polystyrene (9PS) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) particles crosslinked with either ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) or divinyl benzene (DVB), and mixed these particles in a PMMA matrix. PS particles crosslinked with 10% EGDMA are better dispersed in a PMMA matrix, compared to PS particles, crosslinked with 10% DVB, due to the compatibilizing effect of EGDMA. For PMMA particles crosslinked with DVB, particle-matrix interactions in a PMMA matrix are smaller than in EGDMA-PMMA filled PMMA. Therefore, particles tend to agglomerate in PMMA composites filled with DVB-PMMA particles, especially in a low molecular weight matrix. We compared PMMA matrices of molecular weights 35,000 and 75,000. Higher particle-matrix interaction in the higher molecular weight matrix resulted in lower relative viscosities for DVB-PS filled systems, due to better dispersion of the particles. Composites filled with EGDMA-PS particles behave similarly to those filled with DVB-PS particles. PMMA composites filled with DVB-PMMA particles have a lower relative viscosity in the higher molecular weight PMMA matrix at low shear rates, due to better dispersion in the higher molecular weight matrix. However at high shear rates, particles are well dispersed in both PMMA matrices and, then, the relative viscosity is higher due to better bonding in the higher molecular weight matrix.  相似文献

Al-SBA-15 of varying Si/Al ratios in the range 11.4–78.4 was synthesized using tri-block copolymer P123. The calcined materials were examined by XRD, pore size distribution, surface area, 27Al NMR spectroscopy. The acidity and acid strength distribution were studied using microcalorimetric adsorption of NH3. The acidic properties were also examined by cumene cracking reaction as a function of Si/Al ratios. Systematic variation of acidity and activity was observed as a function of Si/Al ratio. The initial heats of NH3 adsorption correlated well with activity indicate that acid sites with ΔH > 100 kJ/mole is responsible for cumene cracking activity. Linear correlations were obtained with total acidity and cumene cracking activities. The tetrahedral aluminum was found to be responsible for the observed acidities and catalytic activities.  相似文献

We consider the following one- and two-dimensional bucketing problems: Given a set S of n points in \reals 1 or \reals 2 and a positive integer b , distribute the points of S into b equal-size buckets so that the maximum number of points in a bucket is minimized. Suppose at most (n/b) + Δ points lie in each bucket in an optimal solution. We present algorithms whose time complexities depend on b and Δ . No prior knowledge of Δ is necessary for our algorithms. For the one-dimensional problem, we give a deterministic algorithm that achieves a running time of O(b 4 2 +log n) + n) . For the two-dimensional problem, we present a Monte Carlo algorithm that runs in subquadratic time for small values of b and Δ . The previous algorithms, by Asano and Tokuyama [1], searched the entire parameterized space and required Ω ( n 2 ) time in the worst case even for constant values of b and Δ . We also present a subquadratic algorithm for the special case of the two-dimensional problem when b=2 .  相似文献

We have synthesized the single phase samples of Cu x C 0.1 Ba 2 Ca 3 Cu 4 O z (x=0.20.9). Transport and magnetic measurements and iodometric titration analysis were carried out for these materials. From these results we discuss the correlation between T c , the Hall number, copper valence and oxygen content. The effect of the substituted M ions on T c in (CuC, M)-l234 (M=Ni,Zn,Al,TI,Mg) is also discussed. We propose a unique selective carrier-doping mechanism in (Cu,C)- and (CuC,Mg)-1234 systems.  相似文献

The piezoelectric effect is investigated for the first time in renal calculi in vitro. The kidney stones are shaped from solid samples as well as from stones crushed into powder and pressed into tablets. Presence of alpha quartz in the renal calculi is investigated by an X-ray technique and the presence of this constituent also helps to explain the piezoelectric effect in the renal calculi. The dielectric and piezoelectric parameters are studied in detail.  相似文献

We report two patients with severe haemophilia A, factor VIII < 2 u dL-1, diagnosed at birth, through isolated bleeding in the adrenal gland (case 1) and through a haematoma in the liver (case 2). In these two clinical cases, the vital emergency, with haemorrhagic shock, required early diagnosis of the hereditary coagulation defect. Generally at birth, any unexplained bleeding should prompt screening for haemophilia. In the newborn period, the PTT is inadequate for many reasons and the laboratory evaluation must include factor VIII and IX levels.  相似文献
