This work deals with the identification of transfer function model of an unstable bioreactor by a subspace-based identification method. The data set is generated from the simulated closed loop system by giving a random signal at the reference signal. The linear system matrices are estimated through the Multivariable Output Numerical algorithms for Subspace State Space System Identification (MON4SID) algorithm. The delay is estimated directly from the input–output data by the impulse response method. The identified First Order Plus Time Delay (FOPTD) model is compared with the locally linearized transfer function model derived around the unstable operating point. A Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller is designed for the identified model using the equating coefficient method. The closed loop servo and regulatory responses show that the model identified by MON4SID is similar to the linearized model and the optimization method.  相似文献

Electrochemical oxidation of sodium borohydride (NaBH4) and ammonia borane (NH3BH3) (AB) have been studied on titanium carbide electrode. The oxidation is followed by using cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry and polarization measurements. A fuel cell with TiC as anode and 40 wt% Pt/C as cathode is constructed and the polarization behaviour is studied with NaBH4 as anodic fuel and hydrogen peroxide as catholyte. A maximum power density of 65 mW cm−2 at a load current density of 83 mA cm−2 is obtained at 343 K in the case of borhydride-based fuel cell and a value of 85 mW cm−2 at 105 mA cm−2 is obtained in the case of AB-based fuel cell at 353 K.  相似文献

Structural transformations and microstructural characterisation of Sm2Co17 alloys containing Fe, Cu and Zr at different stages of thermal processing have been investigated by X-ray diffraction, optical, scanning electron and transmission electron microscopes. Solution treated samples consist of a mixture of hexagonal TbCu7 (1:7 H) and rhombohedral Th2Zn17 (2:17 R) structure types of 2:17 phase. After isothermal aging, TbCu7 + Th2Zn17 structures transform into Th2Zn17 type structure with precipitation of Cu-rich hexagonal SmCo5 (1:5 H) and Zr-rich platelet phases. In addition to the main phases, a soft magnetic phase of composition Zr6(FeCo)23 is formed in alloys containing higher Zr composition. Isothermal aging studies reveal that magnetic properties show a peak value when aged at 1108–1123 K for 10 h. TEM studies show cellular precipitate structure with cell interiors having 2:17 R structure, while the fully coherent cell boundaries have the 1:5 H structure. Zr-rich platelets which run across many cells and cell boundaries were found to have 1:7 H structure.  相似文献

The present work is aimed at optimizing the surface roughness of die sinking electric discharge machining (EDM) by considering the simultaneous affect of various input parameters. The experiments are carried out on Ti6Al4V, HE15, 15CDV6 and M-250. Experiments were conducted by varying the peak current and voltage and the corresponding values of surface roughness (SR) were measured. Multiperceptron neural network models were developed using Neuro Solutions package. Genetic algorithm concept is used to optimize the weighting factors of the network. It is observed that the developed model is within the limits of the agreeable error when experimental and network model results are compared. It is further observed that the error when the network is optimized by genetic algorithm has come down to less than 2% from more than 5%. Sensitivity analysis is also done to find the relative influence of factors on the performance measures. It is observed that type of material effectively influences the performance measures.  相似文献

The aim of the present paper is to study the low cycle fatigue and creep-fatigue interaction behavior of modified 9Cr-1Mo ferritic steel weld joint. Total axial strain controlled continuous cycling tests were conducted between 773 K and 873 K and at strain amplitudes ±0.25%, ±0.4%, ±0.6% and ±1%. Hold tests were also conducted at +0.6% and 823 K and 873 K temperatures to study the creep-fatigue interaction behavior of the weld joint. The alloy exhibited cyclic softening from first cycle onwards irrespective of the loading conditions. Failure location in the weld joint was correlated to the test parameters. Detailed replica study conducted on all the failed specimens revealed that most of the failures occurred in one side of the heat affected zone (HAZ) of the weld joint. Strain localization in the soft zone of the HAZ and subsurface creep cavity formation in this region and their linkage had caused enhanced crack propagation that translated into lower fatigue life of the weld joint at high temperatures. Type IV mode of failure was identified to be operative under tensile hold and high temperatures. The alloy was also found to be compressive dwell sensitive and it was ascertained that the lower life under compression hold compared to tension hold was due to the deleterious effect of oxidation.  相似文献

Trilepisium madagascariense (TM) and Antiaris africana (AA) are two underutilized plants from Nigeria. They have been subjected to standard analytical techniques in order to evaluate the proximate composition, physico-chemical properties, mineral nutrient, fatty acid composition and distribution in the lipid classes of the seeds and seed oils. The carbohydrate composition of these seeds are high; TM is 62.73 ± 0.30% and AA is 53.97 ± 0.50%. Iodine value of TM was found to be 46.10 ± 0.70 mg iodine/g while that of AA was 88.24 ± 0.50 mg iodine/g. The mineral composition of the seeds and the oils varied with K having the highest concentration in the seed and Na the highest concentration in the oils. Linoleic acid is the dominant fatty acid in the oil of AA with the highest composition in the neutral lipids while palmitic acid is the dominant fatty acid in oil of TM. Vitamin E, Gamma-Sitosterol, α and β-Amyrin, Lupeol, Stigmast-4-en-3-one, and hydrocarbons were isolated from these oils. The results of the proximate, mineral nutrient compositions, chemical characterization and fatty acid distribution of these seeds and seed oils shows their possibility as potential resources.  相似文献

Cu-MgO is found to be an efficient catalyst for the coupling reaction of furfural (FAL) hydrogenation and cyclohexanol (CyOH) dehydrogenation. This process is not only efficient in compensating the thermodynamic equilibrium constraints in the cyclohexanol dehydrogenation and improving the yields towards cyclohexanone but also is a economical route for the synthesis of furfuryl alcohol (FFA) and cyclohexanone (Cyone) as the process do not need any external pumping of hydrogen. The effect of incorporation of various promoters viz., Co, Zn, Fe, Cr, Pd and Ni in Cu-MgO over its activity towards this coupling reaction has been studied. Incorporation of Cr in Cu-MgO catalyst is found be an advantageous in enhancing the yields of both FFA and Cyone. All other promoters though found to show higher activity for the individual reactions of FAL hydrogenation and CyOH dehydrogenation, failed to do the same in their coupling reaction. The stabilization of active species (Cu+/Cu0) by Cr which also seem to increase the synergetic interaction between Cu and MgO as observed from higher dispersion of copper (from XRD results) and easier reducibility of copper oxide (from TPR results) seem to be the factors behind its higher activity over other promoted catalysts.  相似文献

New polypyridyl ruthenium(II) complexes “cis-Ru(4,4′-dimesityl-2,2′-bipyridine) (Ln) (NCS)2 H102” and “cis-Ru(4,4′-bis(2,3,6-tri-isopropylphenyl)-2,2′-bipyridine) (Ln) (NCS)2 H105”, where Ln = 4,4′-dicarboxylic acid-2,2′-bipyridine; were synthesized and successfully applied to sensitization of nano-crystalline TiO2 based solar cells (DSSCs). The DSSCs of H102 and H105 fabricated from 0.16 cm2 TiO2 electrodes exhibited broader comparable photocurrent action spectra with almost identical solar-to-electrical energy conversion efficiency (η) as compared to N719 sensitizer. The incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency (IPCE) values of 98% and 95% were obtained for H102 and H105 sensitizers respectively. Under 1 sun condition, η-values of 8.39% (short-circuit photocurrent (JSC) = 16.4 mA/cm2, open-circuit photo voltage (VOC) = 692 mV, fill factor = 0.734), 8.76% (JSC = 16.3 mA/cm2, VOC = 735 mV, fill factor = 0.734) and 9.12% (JSC = 16.1 mA/cm2, VOC = 745 mV, fill factor = 0.753) were obtained for H102, H105 and N719 sensitizers respectively.  相似文献

An accurate prediction of the burst pressure of cylindrical vessels is very important in the engineering design for the oil and gas industry. Some of the existing predictive equations are examined utilizing test data on different steel vessels. Faupel’s bursting pressure formula is found to be simple and reliable in predicting the burst strength of thick and thin-walled steel cylindrical vessels.  相似文献
