Today businesses are interacting and collaborating more often in the context of a business value chain involving a variety of partners to deliver products and services. Business to business (B2B) connectivity, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and general business collaboration processes are becoming more critical in operating and managing efficient enterprises. The required level of inter and intra enterprise integration is generally a large undertaking and involves substantial development and customization efforts. In this paper, we propose an adaptive integration activity management approach based on web services technologies to reduce code changes associated with business process integration in a distributed collaboration environment. Specifically, we present a concept of activity chain to capture non-deterministic process flows as well as deterministic process flows in a uniform manner. Then an Activity Ontology is introduced to capture the integration requirements that include adaptation behaviors, action properties, business rules, and access control policy references. The unique ontology representation and management of the integration activities provides a uniform way to integrate additional internal and external business applications to reduce the need for pre-defined and hard-wired integration methods and to minimize code changes to existing components in an existing business collaboration and integration (B2B/EAI) infrastructure. In addition, a Petri-Net modeling exercise of the proposed integration activity management is performed to help better understand the actual system and improve the system design beforehand.  相似文献

In Sweden, nurse-midwives in primary health care are responsible for taking Papanicolaou smears in population-based cervical cancer screening programs. This article discusses the manner in which a group of nurse-midwives, working with the cervical cancer screening program, view both opportunities and burdens inherent in their work. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 21 nurse-midwives engaged in screening at seven antenatal health care centers in demographically different parts of Stockholm, using a team approach to collect and inductively analyze the interviews. Results indicate discrepancies between ideals guiding the midwives and their practice. Positive aspects described by the midwives appear to be related to an ideology of care, whereas perceived burdens include the midwives' sense of powerlessness, lack of congruence between midwives' ideology and screening organization, and lack of professional familiarity with cancer. Several of these features can be related to issues that are challenges for many health care practitioners today, even in other settings. Our conclusion is that the screening program has latent potential for further development of the role of the nurse-midwife as an advocate for women throughout the lifespan and in a variety of situations.  相似文献

A new analytical model for the bias-dependent quantum efficiency of a HgCdTe P-on-n heterojunction photodiode with a valence band barrier elucidates the important physics of the phenomenon and shows that the background-induced shunt resistance is a result of the same mechanism, that is, a tendency of the light-induced carriers to pile up in the base layer due to the retarding field produced by the barrier. A parameterized version of the model agrees well with experimental current-vs-voltage and noise measurements.  相似文献

The technological and safety properties of 35 indigenous strains of Enterococcus faecium isolated from two Egyptian cheeses were characterised in order to determine their ability for rational manufacture of diversified and typical dairy products in the Middle East. A great diversity was observed within the 35 strains on the basis of their technological properties. A statistical analysis made it possible to distribute the 35 strains of E. faecium into different groups. Three groups were identified in terms of their acidification activity, measured by the Cinac system: a group of strains that quickly acidified milk, a second that moderately acidified milk, and a last cluster that revealed weak acidification activity. On the basis of texturing properties that were evaluated using a texturometer and a viscometer, a cluster of strains produced viscous and firm gels, a second cluster included fairly viscous, firm and cohesive gels, and a last group generated slightly viscous, but firm and very cohesive gels. By considering the aroma profiles that were determined by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry, four clusters were identified. One cluster displayed a high dimethyl disulfide level, a second group of strains was highly aromatic, a third cluster led to typical “lactic” products, and the last cluster made it possible to obtain low aromatic products. None of the 35 strains proved to be β-haemolytic on the basis of the characterisation of their safety properties. The resistance to 20 antibiotics was assessed by the disc diffusion method. The 35 isolates were sensitive to 12 antibiotics, and among them, one isolate was resistant to only two antibiotics (nalixidic acid and streptomycin). The resistance to eight antibiotics was strain-dependant. Finally, this study demonstrates that some indigenous strains of E. faecium displayed interesting technological properties for cheese manufacture, together with good safety characteristics. They could be useful for the manufacture of typical products in Egypt.  相似文献

We demonstrate here a method for controlled production of complex self-assembled three-dimensional networks of InAs nanowires on a substrate, based on sequentially seeded epitaxial nanowire structures, or "nanotrees". A position-controlled array of trunk nanowires is first produced using lithographically defined Au particles as seeds. With these wires positioned along the proper crystallographic directions with respect to each other, nanotree branches grow toward neighboring trunks, connecting them together. Finally, we investigate the crystal structure of the interconnected nanotrees, demonstrating that branch growth after the contact with the second trunk has an epitaxial relationship to that trunk.  相似文献
