As a preliminary overview, this work provides first a broad tutorial on the fluidization of discrete event dynamic models, an efficient technique for dealing with the classical state explosion problem. Even if named as continuous or fluid, the relaxed models obtained are frequently hybrid in a technical sense. Thus, there is plenty of room for using discrete, hybrid and continuous model techniques for logical verification, performance evaluation and control studies. Moreover, the possibilities for transferring concepts and techniques from one modeling paradigm to others are very significant, so there is much space for synergy. As a central modeling paradigm for parallel and synchronized discrete event systems, Petri nets (PNs) are then considered in much more detail. In this sense, this paper is somewhat complementary to David and Alla (2010). Our presentation of fluid views or approximations of PNs has sometimes a flavor of a survey, but also introduces some new ideas or techniques. Among the aspects that distinguish the adopted approach are: the focus on the relationships between discrete and continuous PN models, both for untimed, i.e., fully non-deterministic abstractions, and timed versions; the use of structure theory of (discrete) PNs, algebraic and graph based concepts and results; and the bridge to Automatic Control Theory. After discussing observability and controllability issues, the most technical part in this work, the paper concludes with some remarks and possible directions for future research.  相似文献

Coupled Environmental-Mechanical Damage Model of RC Structures   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The evaluation of strength reduction of RC structures subjected to mechanical damage process and chemical attack is carried out, with regard to concrete deterioration and steel corrosion. A coupled environmental-mechanical damage model, developed as an extension of that previously published is presented. Two independent scalar mechanical damage parameters are introduced, each of them representing the degradation mechanisms occurring under tensile and compressive stress conditions. The stiffness recovery upon loading reversal, which is manifest when passing from tension into compression, is fully captured by the proposed model. The environmental damage is strongly related to the diffusion process, as well as to the evolution of the chemical reaction between pollutant and cementitious constituents. An enhanced local method is proposed to regularize the problem of nonobjectivity of the finite-element solution due to the strong strain softening behavior of concrete material. The splitting test of a concrete specimen and a static analysis of an RC frame subjected to mechanical loads and chemical attacks are carried out, and the damage evolution is analyzed in detail.  相似文献

The success of hierarchical production planning approaches for flexible manufacturing systems lies in the consistency of decision outcomes at various decision levels. For instance, the loading problem, which is solved at a lower level, may not yield a feasible loading solution to a set of part types selected at a higher level. This paper attemps to address the issue of recognizing the infeasibility of a loading solution. We present a modified loading model that includes a penalty for each operation not assigned to any machine. We develop a Lagrangian-based heuristic procedure and provide a sufficient condition on the quality of heuristic solutions that, if satisfied, will enable us to use the heuristic solutions to recognize the infeasibility of a loading problem. The proposed model and the dual-based heuristic can be effectively incorporated in an FMS hierarchical production planning approach that finds a good loading solution by iteratively comparing different part grouping scenarios.  相似文献

The sponge Tethya lyncurium from the Northern Adriatic has been used as an experimental species.A method is outlined for preparation of DNA which yields a highly purified DNA with a double-strand (ds) molecular weight of 25 M-dalton between single-strand (ss) breaks, which when properly damaged can be cut opposite to ss-breaks with nuclease s1. The molecular weights of the resulting ds-DNA pieces and their distribution has been evaluated by electron microscope photographs.Sponges exposed to benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) in the dark only incorporate BaP-derivatives (BaPD) in small amounts, if any. However, in the presence of light, derivatization to BaP derivatives enables effective coupling to occur, as shown previously (R. K. Zahn et al., 1981). Sponges were exposed to radiolabeled BaP in the presence of light. Coupling of BaPD to the DNA as well as the induction of ss-breaks were measured.Light-mediated coupling is concentration dependent from 0.01 – 20 ppb BaP with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.84.Under conditions of possible repair, ss-breaks completely disappear from sponge DNA in the course of three weeks while a substantial fraction of the BaP derivatives persists.Double label experiments show that substantial DNA synthesis occurs during this time. Pollution causes a decrease of the molecular weight of unnicked DNA, re-incubation in clean water an increase. A DNA species of 24 M-dalton seems to play a critical role. If its percentage in the DNA population drops below a critical level, recovery is not longer possible. DNA damage by PAH and repair in sponges seems to differ from that of most eucaryotes.  相似文献

Photochemically induced grafting and graft-polymerization of 4-(N-ethyl-N-2-acryloxyethyl)amino-4′-nitro-azobenzene I , brought into contact in the solid state with cellulose by evaporation of solvent from monomer solutions, has been investigated kinetically at 30°C. Two constant rate periods were observed. The first one was interpreted on the basis of a self-sensitized grafting mechanism of monomeric or oligomeric species of I , photochemically initiated by hydrogen abstraction from the cellulose surface. The second one was explained as a self-sensitized photochemically induced graft-polymerization of I on the first grafted layer. Some particular features, such as concurrent photodegradation of the first grafted layer at low surface coverage, are discussed in the light of the proposed mechanism.  相似文献

This paper introduces an automatic self-adaptive finite element system for 3-D stress analysis of homogeneous elastic solids described in a Solid Modelling System (SMS). This system reduces the role of the analyst into two basic tasks: defining the problem (i.e. geometry, material properties and boundary conditions) and specifying the desired accuracy in the analysis. The approach followed in this work is based on Recursive Spatial Decomposition (RSD) of solids defined in a SMS. The system includes procedures for meshing, analysis, error estimation, and adaptive remeshing and reanalysis. We examined the effects of an acute increase in blood pressure (BP) and renal sympathetic nerve activity (rSNA) induced by bicuculline (Bic) injection in the paraventricular nucleus of hypothalamus (PVN) or the effects of a selective increase in rSNA induced by renal nerve stimulation (RNS) on the renal excretion of sodium and water and its effect on sodium-hydrogen exchanger 3 (NHE3) activity. Uninephrectomized anesthetized male Wistar rats were divided into three groups: (1) Sham; (2) Bic PVN: (3) RNS + Bic injection into the PVN. BP and rSNA were recorded, and urine was collected prior and after the interventions in all groups. RNS decreased sodium (58%) and water excretion (53%) independently of BP changes (p < 0.05). However, after Bic injection in the PVN during RNS stimulation, the BP and rSNA increased by 30% and 60% (p < 0.05), respectively, diuresis (5-fold) and natriuresis (2.3-fold) were increased (p < 0.05), and NHE3 activity was significantly reduced, independently of glomerular filtration rate changes. Thus, an acute increase in the BP overcomes RNS, leading to diuresis, natriuresis, and NHE3 activity inhibition.  相似文献

In this paper we study lot-sizing and changeover decisions in production schedules that are implemented on a rolling-horizon basis. The study is carried out by comparing production schedules for the packaging operations of a pharmaceutical company that produces various products on several capacitated production lines. The schedules are obtained by solving a mixed-integer programming formulation by using a heuristic procedure. We examine the effects of the number of periods in the planning horizon, the starting inventory and the demand fluctuation on the schedules. We show empirically that the saving in annual production cost diminishes rapidly as more demand periods are added to the planning horizon. Computational results are reported.  相似文献
