A combination of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with frequency-division multiple access (FDMA) called orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) is regarded as a promising solution for improving the performance of interactive wireless broadcasting systems. This paper deals with our investigations into improving the performance and reducing the complexity of a digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) system with a return channel when OFDMA is used as an access scheme. To alleviate a multiple access interference (MAI) introduced by a symbol timing misalignment, the OFDMA-based DMB system adopts frequency diversity and cyclic suffix (CS) at the transmitter, namely FD-OFDMA DMB system with CS. When the system is fully loaded, in addition to low complexity at the transmitter, the performance of the FD-OFDMA DMB system with the CS comes close to that of a single-user FD-OFDMA system at the cost of a small loss of throughput.  相似文献

This paper presents general radix one- and two-dimensional (1-D and 2-D) constant geometry fast cosine transform algorithms and architectures suitable for VLSI, owing to their regular structures. A constant geometry algorithm is obtained by shuffling the rows and columns of each decomposed DCT matrix that corresponds to a butterfly stage. The 1-D algorithm is derived, and then, it is extended to the 2-D case. Based on the derived algorithms, the architectures with a flexible degree of parallelism are discussed  相似文献

Biological wastewater treatment (BWT), which is used to manage global wastewater, suffers from a sharp decrease in microbial activity at low temperature (<10 °C). Photothermal technology with a high energy efficiency theoretically exceeding 80% has the potential to activate low‐temperature BWT. However, photothermal BWT is threatened by the propagation of photosynthetic algae in wastewater under irradiation, and these microorganisms can suppress the functional bacteria or even kill anaerobic species by photosynthetically releasing oxygen. Herein, taking microbial fuel cells (MFCs) as a representative biological reactor, a photothermal Janus anode (PTJA) is designed, composed of a carbon black/polydimethylsiloxane photothermal nonporous layer and a graphite felt porous layer to promote low‐temperature BWT. Unlike traditional symmetrical porous anodes, the nonporous layer of the PTJA can isolate the wastewater in the porous layer from light irradiation during photothermal conversion, thus preventing photosynthetic algae from poisoning anaerobic functional microbes. Under ≈1 sun illumination, the PTJA MFC exhibits 1.6 and 24.2 times higher organic pollutant removal rate and power density generation, respectively, than MFCs using traditional anodes for low‐temperature BWT (7.0 ± 2.0 °C). This development can allow novel utilization of solar energy and is a promising resolution for low‐temperature BWT.  相似文献

The thermal stability of skutterudite-based thermoelectric modules is of great importance since they are used at elevated temperatures. This study examined the high-temperature stability of In-filled and Fe-doped skutterudites (In0.25Co3FeSb12) as a function of the following aging variables: atmosphere (vacuum and air), temperature, and time. Sb-based oxides are produced preferentially on exposure to high temperatures in air. The oxide layer produced during aging at 823?K in air was much thinner than that produced during aging at 723?K in air. The formation of InSb is believed to retard the oxidation of Sb and act as an obstacle to the growth of the oxide layer. The CoSb3-based skutterudites were stable at 823?K if they were not exposed to air, and InSb phases were not produced in the In0.25Co3FeSb12 skutterudites.  相似文献

Considerable efforts have been devoted to the development of highly efficient blue light‐emitting materials. However, deep‐blue fluorescence materials that can satisfy the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of (0.14, 0.08) of the National Television System Committee (NTSC) standard blue and, moreover, possess a high external quantum efficiency (EQE) over 5%, remain scarce. Here, the unusual luminescence properties of triphenylamine‐bearing 2‐(2′‐hydroxyphenyl)oxazoles ( 3a–3c ) and their applications in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) are reported as highly efficient deep‐blue emitters. The 3a ‐based device exhibits a high spectral stability and an excellent color purity with a narrow full‐width at half‐maximum of 53 nm and the CIE coordinates of (0.15, 0.08), which is very close to the NTSC standard blue. The exciton utilization of the device closes to 100%, exceeding the theoretical limit of 25% in conventional fluorescent OLEDs. Experimental data and theoretical calculations demonstrate that 3a possesses a highly hybridized local and charge‐transfer excited state character. In OLEDs, 3a exhibits a maximum luminance of 9054 cd m?2 and an EQE up to 7.1%, which is the first example of highly efficient blue OLEDs based on the sole enol‐form emission of 2‐(2′‐hydroxyphenyl)azoles.  相似文献

介绍了一种适合于掺杂Ho3+的激光基质,Ho:YAlO3(Ho:YAP)。这种基质相对于现阶段常用的Ho:YAG、Ho:YLF、Ho:GdVO4有着较为明显的优势,吸收谱线较宽、吸收截面大、各向异性、生长周期短、输出功率不易饱和等。通过计算证明了Ho:YAP作为激光晶体的可能性,并实验研究了Ho:YAP这种新激光晶体的输出特性。当注入Tm:YLF的功率为15.6 W时,得到8.57 W连续输出的、波长为2 118 nm的Ho:YAP激光。斜率效率达到63.7%,Tm:YLF到Ho:YAP的转换效率为54.5%,光束质量因子M2为1.39。  相似文献

The handover processes in present IP mobility management protocols incur significant latency, thus aggravating QoS of consumer devices. In this paper, we introduce an enhanced handover process for the Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) protocol, which is a recently developed IP mobility management protocol aiming at providing network-based mobility support. The proposed handover process further improves handover performance of PMIPv6 by allowing a new access network obtains handover context before a consumer??s mobile node (MN) moves to the new access network. Data packets destined for the MN are buffered to prevent packet loss and immediately delivered to the MN as the MN moves to the new access network. We evaluate the handover latency and data packet loss of the proposed handover process compared to the basic one of PMIPv6. The conducted analysis results confirm that the proposed handover process yields the reduced handover latency compared to that of the basic PMIPv6 and also prevents data packet loss. We moreover evaluate the buffering cost of the proposed handover process.  相似文献
