Over the last years, numerous equalization schemes for multiple-input/multiple-output channels have been studied in the literature. New low-complexity approaches based on lattice basis reduction are of special interest, since they achieve the optimum diversity behavior. Although the per-symbol equalization complexity of these schemes is very low, the initial calculation of the required matrices may impose an enormous burden in arithmetic complexity. In this paper, we give a tutorial overview and assess algorithms, which, given the channel matrix, result in the feedforward, feedback, and unimodular matrix required in lattice-reduction-aided decision-feedback equalization or precoding. To this end, via a unified exposition of the Lenstra–Lenstra–Lovász (LLL) algorithm, the LLL with deep insertions, and the reversed Siegel approach similarities and differences of these approaches are enlightened. A modification of the LLL swapping criterion, better matched to the equalization setting, is discussed. It is shown that using lattice-reduction-aided equalization/precoding better performance can be achieved at lower complexity compared to classical equalization or precoding approaches.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a generic way to represent and manipulate pairwise information about partial orders (representing rankings, preferences, ...) with belief functions. We provide generic and practical tools to make inferences from this pairwise information and illustrate their use on the machine learning problems that are label ranking and multi-label prediction. Our approach differs from most other quantitative approaches handling complete or partial orders, in the sense that partial orders are here considered as primary objects and not as incomplete specifications of ideal but unknown complete orders.  相似文献

Uncoupled thermomechanical transient analyses have been carried out to investigate the behavior of IFMIF-EVEDA lithium test loop bayonet backplate target assembly under two selected start-up transient operational scenarios. The first transient scenario considered foresees that the target assembly, starting from the initial uniform temperature of 50 °C, is heated up uniquely by convective heat transfer with lithium, flowing from inlet to outlet nozzle at its reference nominal temperature and pressure, until its nominal steady state thermal field distribution is reached. The second transient scenario foresees, more realistically, that the target assembly, starting from the uniform temperature of 50 °C, is initially warmed-up by electric heaters mounted onto its main accessible surfaces and, subsequently, by convective heat transfer with lithium reference flow, until nominal steady state conditions are reached. Heaters have been supposed to operate in an on/off stepwise mode, resulting to be alternatively switched on and off in order to allow the target assembly thermal field to grow up minimizing thermal gradients. To this purpose, a parametric analysis has been performed to realistically assess, for each electric heater, its heat flux and duty-cycle. The synthesis of a novel heterocyclic–telechelic polymer, α,ω-oxetanyl-telechelic poly(3-nitratomethyl-3-methyl oxetane), is described. Infrared spectroscopy (IR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy have been used to confirm the successful synthesis, demonstrating the presence of the telechelic-oxetanyl moieties. Synthesis of the terminal functionalities has been achieved via displacement of nitrato groups, in a manner similar to that employed with other leaving groups such as azido, bromo, and nitro, initiated by nucleophiles. In the present case, displacement occurs on the ends of a nitrato-functionalized polymer driven by the formation of sodium nitrate, which is supported by the polar aprotic solvent N,N-dimethyl formamide. The formation of an alkoxide at the polymer chain ends is favored and allows internal back-biting to the nearest carbon bearing the nitrato group, intrinsically in an SN2(i) reaction, leading to α,ω-oxetanyl functionalization. The telechelic-oxetanyl moieties have the potential to be cross-linked by chemical (e.g., acidic) or radiative (e.g., ultraviolet) curing methods without the use of high temperatures, usually below 100°C. This type of material was designed for future use as a contraband simulant, whereby it would form the predominant constituent of elastomeric composites comprising rubbery polymer with small quantities of solids, typically crystals of contraband substances, such as explosives or narcotics. This method also provides an alternative approach to ring closure and synthesis of heterocycles.  相似文献

Ensuring the geometrical stability of organic coatings is a key challenge for steel/polymer composites produced by the automotive industry to reduce the cars' weight. During the thermal treatment of painting, which exceeds the melting temperature of the organic part of the laminated film, polymer shrinkage may occur. It induces uncovered parts of the steel sheet which would present negative corrosion behavior in use. Two original and innovative experiments were presented. They enable to measure the deformation induced by the shrinkage and then to identify the microstructural mechanisms responsible for its appearance. Main results show strong influences of the macromolecular chains orientation induced by the film extrusion process and of the postheating parameters used to perform the painting curing. Raman spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry are used both to perform analysis of the microstructure evolution during heating treatments in terms of crystals melting, crystalline macromolecular chains disorientation, and volume damage healing. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Model management is essential for coping with the complexity introduced by the increasing number and varied nature of artifacts involved in model-driven engineering-based projects. Global model management (GMM) addresses this issue by enabling the representation of artifacts, particularly transformation composition and execution, within a model called a megamodel. Type information about artifacts can be used for preventing type errors during execution. Built on our previous work, in this paper we present the core elements of a type system for GMM that improves its original typing approach and enables both typechecking and type inference on artifacts within a megamodel. This type system is able to deal with non-trivial situations such as the use of higher order transformations. We also present a prototypical implementation of such a type system.  相似文献
