In the past decades, the main focus of water supply management has moved from construction of new water supply networks to rehabilitation and adaptation of the existing infrastructure. The decision-making process for the rehabilitation management relies heavily on the quality of the applied deterioration model. A recurring problem in the application of such models relates to the quality and availability of network data. These data are often incomplete or unreliable because building measures and damages are only documented properly recently and the recovery of older data is difficult and expensive. A key point in rehabilitation planning is therefore data collection and data reconstruction. Consequently, the aim of this paper is to present a methodology for the enhancement of the available data of water supply networks and the prognosis of the necessary rehabilitation rates under limited data availability. Results indicate that the presented data reconstruction technique has advantages as compared to traditional data extrapolation. It also allows the reconstruction of fragmentary data about existing water supply and wastewater collection systems for the operating utilities. However, it cannot be used for reconstructing failure types as well as the whole information on pipes (e.g. more than two missing information).  相似文献

Fire performance of water‐based plaster systems containing acrylic copolymer binder and non‐flammable mineral and ceramic fillers intended for decorative coating application was determined by cone calorimetric method. The coatings were applied on common building substrate materials used in construction sector, namely, Medium Density Fibre (MDF) boards, Gypsum Boards (GIB) and Stainless Steel (SS), and the different plaster finishes attempted on these substrates were Tierrafino, Suave and Bone China respectively. Group numbers of the different test samples were also evaluated following the Kokkala method. Based on various measurements, especially heat release, smoke evolution, mass loss data and the Group number estimates, it is evident that these organic fire retardant free coatings can offer good fire safety if applied on appropriate substrates like GIB or SS. The aim of this paper is to present experimental validation results of an energy management system for hybrid electrical vehicles based on type-2 fuzzy logic. The energy management system (EMS) is designed by extracting knowledge from several experts using surveys. The consideration of interval type-2 fuzzy sets enables modeling the uncertainty in the answers of the experts. The validation of the EMS is performed on a real-scale heavy duty vehicle equipped with different energy sources such as batteries, fuel cell system and ultracapacitors. Experimental results are strong evidence that type-2 fuzzy logic is wide adapted for performing the energy management in hybrid electrical vehicles.  相似文献

Development of modern Software Defined Radio (SDR) based communication systems can be accelerated significantly by the use of processing frameworks. The evolution of SDR and the involved departure from digital representations of classical radio architecture towards more abstract software systems raises new requirements of increased flexibility and versatility. The proposed Data Flow Control for C++ (DFC++) processing framework concept addresses those requirements by employing modern programming techniques and flow control mechanisms to allow for variable data rates, dynamic paths, and flexible component designs. Another important trend is the integration of various embedded platforms in the software radio domain. The rapidly increasing performance and efficiency of embedded processors enables the deployment of SDR systems in more space and power constrained environments. Therefore covering a heterogeneous hardware selection becomes increasingly important for processing frameworks. By relying exclusively on C++ and minimizing external dependencies, DFC++ is specifically aiming for excellent portability and adaptability to support a wide range of current and future software radio projects while maintaining high performance and ease of use. This paper introduces the key aspects of the DFC++ concept and implementation with focus on the reference pointer based data transport mechanisms responsible for the propagation of user data between different processing components.  相似文献

New ideas are required if our organizations are going to survive and grow. Without the ability to think differently, firms can quickly stagnate and decline. A key contributor to the success (or otherwise) of the ideation process is the extent to which organizations provide effective control mechanisms, with existing literature drawing tentative links between this and the subject of organizational vision. The aim of this paper is to explore the control of idea generation in SME contexts, examining the interaction between organizational vision and the guidance of ideation in these settings. Through in‐depth qualitative research with a range of SMEs, this study shows that structure in the form of an outlining framework assists in opening a liminal space for ideation. More importantly, this paper provides empirical evidence, which demonstrates that organizational visions provide this framework by acting as a target, assisting the development of relevant ideas. Ideation, within the SME, is argued to be fundamentally subject to, and contingent upon, the direction of the organization.  相似文献

Using two types of bisoliton pairings leads to charged stripes in YBCO, Which are similar to tiling of (1×2)-dominoes in an (n×2)-checkerboard. We estimated the stripe length in YBCO and determined accurate values of T c,max as a function of the golden ratio and the numbers of bisolitons in the stripes. This model predicted that the two possible orientations of stripes are vertical and horizontal. Our results agree well with experimental data.  相似文献

In this paper, a 3D process of a nanometric n-channel fin field-effect transistor (FinFET) is discussed and the impact of variations of the fin parameter, the gate work function, and doping concentration on device characteristics are studied using the ATLAS Silvaco device simulator. Simulation results for various gate lengths are reported and analyzed. As the quantum effects are pronounced in nanoscale devices, we have included these effects in our study and simulation. We have then compared the achieved results to classical simulations to assess their performance limits. Finally, a comparison of our results with recently published data is presented to confirm our study.  相似文献
