This article presents a novel control strategy based on predictor‐feedback delay compensation for multiagent systems to reach a prescribed target formation under unknown but bounded communication delays and switching communication topology. Both communication delays and network topology can be subjected to arbitrarily‐fast time variations. The key idea is to implement predictor‐feedback strategies using only relative measurements between agents expressed in each local agent's frame, with the aim to counteract the negative effect of time delays. Nevertheless, due to the decentralized nature of the control, the presence of time‐varying delays and switching communication topology, only partial delay compensation is possible. Despite this, we show that better performance can be achieved with our proposal with respect to nonpredictor control schemes by introducing a weighting factor for predictor‐feedback terms in the control law. Sufficient conditions based on Linear Matrix Inequalities for robust stability are also provided, which allow to easily design the controller parameters in order to maximize the speed of convergence. Finally, simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

This article reports a study on structural characterization and thermal degradation kinetics of insulating/conducting urea‐formaldehyde cellulose (UFC) composites filled with aluminum particles. Structural characterization of UFC/Al composites carried out by SEM, XRD, and FTIR analyses reveals that composites are fairly homogenous, and the interactions between UFC and aluminum in UFC/Al composites are more probably physical in nature. Measurements of inherent thermal stabilities, probing reaction complexity, and thermal degradation kinetics of UFC and UFC/Al composites have been undertaken by thermogravimetric (TG)/differential thermogravimetric (DTG) analyses under nonisothermal conditions. The integral procedure decompositions temperature (IPDT) elucidates significant thermal stability of UFC, and higher aluminum contents in composites are capable of enhancing the thermal stability of UFC resin. TG/DTG analyses suggest highly complicated thermal degradation profiles of UFC and UFC/Al composites, which consist of various parallel/consecutive reactions. Generalized linear integral isoconversional method has been employed to determine the activation energies of thermal degradation processes. Substantial variations in activation energies of UFC and UFC/Al composites with the advancement of reaction verify their multi‐step reaction pathways. Advanced reaction model determination methodology with the help of a novel kinetic function F(α,T) reveals that the multi‐step thermal degradation of UFC goes to completion by principally following intricate nucleation/growth mechanisms. It is also found that aluminum more likely participates in the thermal degradation of resin and tends to alter its reaction mechanism. Three sets of ultrafiltration (UF) membranes were prepared containing the following proportions (w/w) of polysulfone and dimethylacetamide: 14.5/85.5, 15.0/85.0 and 15.5/84.5. The membranes were characterized in terms of water flux, molecular weight (MW) cut-off, fouling, average pore size and ratio of pore surface area to membrane area. Membrane water flux was found to decrease as the polysulfone concentration or membrane thickness was increased. Scanning electron microscopy showed an asymmetric pore structure and indicated that the variation in water flux between membrane sets were probably due to differences in the number of pores per unit membrane area and not to differences in pore diameter. The MW cut-off for all the membranes was found to be close to 66 kD. The permeate flux for standard proteins decreased with increasing protein MW. A decrease in water flux was also observed after the UF runs; this could be explained by membrane fouling.

Defatted waste tuna broth, which was obtained from a fish canning plant as steam condensate after autoclaving fresh tuna, was ultrafiltered using the prepared membranes. The rejection coefficient for either protein or carbohydrate solute of the tuna broth was approximately 54.5% while solute recovery was about 90%. The ultrafiltered broth had negligible turbidity and odor.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a novel ternary blend composed of poly(ether imide) (PEI), poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) and a liquid crystalline polymer (LCP; HX4000, Du Pont). Different compositions were prepared by extrusion and injection moulding. Dynamic mechanical thermal analysis and the observation of the fracture surfaces, before and after annealing, allowed determination of the cold crystallization temperatures and miscibility behaviour of these systems. PEEK/PEI blends are known from previous studies to be miscible at all compositions. In this case it was observed that the PEEK/HX4000 blend was miscible up to 50 wt% HX4000 but partially miscible above this value. The PEI/HX4000 blends were found to be partially miscible in the whole concentration range. As a result, some ternary blend compositions exhibited only one phase, while others exhibited two phases. The measurement of the tensile properties showed that ternary blends with high modulus can be obtained at high LCP loadings, while compositions with high ultimate tensile strength can be obtained with high loadings of PEI or PEEK.  相似文献

The biaxial molecular orientation of blown films made of blends of linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) with low density polyethylene (LDPE) was characterized by two different methods: complete pole figures obtained by wide angle X‐rays diffraction (WAXD) and polarized infrared spectroscopy (IR) using the Krishnaswamy approach. The molecular orientation of the blends amorphous phase was also evaluated by polarized IR. The crystallinity of the blown films was determined by WAXD. A good correlation between the X‐ray pole figures and the polarized IR results was obtained. At all blends compositions, it was shown that the a‐axis of the polyethylene orthorhombic cell was preferentially oriented along the machine direction, the orientation degree along this direction increasing with the increase of the LDPE amount in the blends. The b‐axis changed its preferential orientation from film thickness in the 100/0 LLDPE/LDPE film to along the transverse direction with increasing LDPE in the blends. The c‐axis changed its orientation from orthogonal to normal direction in the 100/0 LLDPE/LDPE film to along the film thickness with increasing LDPE in the blends. Polarized IR characterization showed a negligible orientation of the amorphous phase. The amount of crystallinity was dependent on blend composition decreasing with the increase of LDPE content in the blends. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The correlation between the modulus of elasticity, on the one side, and Vickers microhardness and total microhardness, on the other side, was analyzed in the case of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylenes. An extension of the application of the power relation between microhardness and the modulus (MH = aEb) obtained by different methods was suggested. A linear dependence between constants obtained by Vickers and total microhardness measurements and other different techniques of modulus measurement was established, which signifies that both microhardness characteristics change their sensitivity toward the modulus in a similar way. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The paper presents a set of experiments on the Rolling Horizon Technique (RHT), applied to the management of a multi-reservoir, multipurpose water resources system with over-year behaviour. In the RHT, decisions on releases from reservoirs are taken for a number of time steps ahead (the Forecasting Horizon – FH) through an optimization model, based on the present water availability in reservoirs and on some forecasts of future inflows over the FH. Only the decision concerning the first time step (the current month) is then implemented, as new information on reservoir levels and forecasts becomes available so that the process can start again with updated information. The paper investigates how the quality of forecasts and the length of the FH impact on the effectiveness of the decisions taken. The evaluation exercise is carried out in two different demand scenarios considering some deficit-related indices, such as TSSD, the Sum of Squared Standardized Deficits, over an Operation Horizon (OH) of forty years. The scenarios are designed to evaluate the role of different demand levels (corresponding to higher/lower stress) on system’s behaviour. Results show that in systems with over-year behaviour, effective forecasts (here simulated through the best possible: actually occurred inflows from the current month up to the end of water year) seem to add little value to system’s operation compared to the most naive forecast (average monthly values), especially in contexts characterized by high pressure on resources. Where there is less pressure on resources, good-quality forecasts are more effective to improve operation. A FH of 24 months seems to enhance significantly system’s performances compared to a FH of 12 months, while FHs longer than two years produce no improvements in system’s performances. The paper also tries to define the limits of a finite-horizon operation technique such as the RHT by benchmarking it with an idealistic release schedule obtained by a model that performs allocation with Perfect Foresight over the whole Operation Horizon.  相似文献

The seed lipids from five sunflower mutants, two with high palmitic acid contents, one of them in high oleic background, and three with high stearic acid contents, have been characterized. All lipid classes of these mutant seeds have increased saturated fatty acid content although triacylglycerols had the highest levels. The increase in saturated fatty acids was mainly at the expense of oleic acid while linoleic acid levels remained unchanged. No difference between mutants and standard sunflower lines used as controls was found in minor fatty acids: linolenic, arachidic, and behenic. In the high-palmitic mutants palmitoleic acid (16∶1n−7) and some palmitolinoleic acid (16∶2n−7, 16∶2n−4) also appeared. Phosphatidylinositol, the lipid with the highest palmitic acid content in controls, also had the highest content of palmitic or stearic acids, depending on the mutant type, suggesting that saturated fatty acids are needed for its physiological function. Positional analysis showed that mutant oils have very low content of saturated fatty acids in the sn-2 position of triacylglycerols, between the content of olive oil and cocoa butter.  相似文献

The first step in any fingerprint recognition system is the fingerprint acquisition. A well-acquired fingerprint image results in high-resolution accuracy and low computational effort of processing. Hence, it is very useful for the recognition system to evaluate recognition confidence level to request new fingerprint samples if the confidence level is low, and to facilitate recognition process if the confidence level is high. This paper presents a hardware solution to ensure a successful and friendly acquisition of the fingerprint image, which can be incorporated at low cost into an embedded fingerprint recognition system due to its small size and high speed. The solution implements a novel technique based on directional image processing that allows not only the estimation of fingerprint image quality, but also the extraction of useful information (in particular, singular points). The digital architecture of the module is detailed and their features in terms of resource consumption and processing speed are illustrated with implementation results into FPGAs from Xilinx. Performance of the solution has been verified with fingerprints from several standard databases that have been acquired with sensors of different sizes and technologies (optical, capacitive, and thermal sweeping).  相似文献
