The voltage mirror–current mirror (VM–CM) pair is shown to be a universal active element. It provides two alternative realizations for the nullor. The VM–CM pair is also capable of realizing the op amp and all the four types of the current conveyors namely CCII?, CCII+, ICCII? and ICCII+ as special cases. Oil palm empty fruit bunch (EFB)‐filled polypropylene (PP) composites were produced. The EFB filler was chemically modified with maleic anhydride (MAH). The effects of the filler size and chemical modification of EFBs on the tensile and dimensional stability properties of EFB–PP composites were studied. The composites with MAH‐treated EFBs showed higher tensile strengths than those with untreated EFBs. This was attributed to the enhanced compatibility between the MAH‐treated EFBs and PP matrix, as shown in a scanning electron microscopy study. Fourier transform infrared analysis showed evidence of C?C and C?O bonds from MAH at 1630 and 1730 cm?1, respectively. Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). This case report presents a patient who had difficulty eradicating the corona virus due to being treated with Rituximab, which depletes B lymphocyte cells and therefore disables the production of neutralizing antibodies. The combined use of external anti-viral agents like convalescent plasma, IVIG and Remdesivir successfully helped the patient’s immune system to eradicate the virus without B-cell population recovery. In vitro studies showed that convalescent plasma is the main agent that helped in eradicating the virus.  相似文献

A novel manganese phosphomolybdate exchanger was synthesized, dried at different temperatures, and evaluated for the elimination of lead, iron, and manganese ions from aqueous solutions. The chemical structure of the cation exchanger was established using Fourier-transform infrared, scanning electron microscopy, Thermo gravimetric analysis/ Differential thermal analysis, and X-ray diffraction. The adsorption performance of the heavy metals Pb2+, Fe3+, and Mn2+ toward the synthesized material has been studied. The obtained outcomes show that the selectivity of the cationic exchanger was descending in this order, Pb2+ > Fe3+ > Mn2+. The highest adsorption capacity was shown to be decreased as drying temperature of the exchanger increases from 50°C to 800°C.  相似文献

Conducting filler based on chitosan and grafted polyaniline (Ch‐g‐PANI) was prepared with different grafting ratios and used as fillers for polyester powder coating system. Differential scanning calorimetry is applied to study the effect of Ch‐g‐PANI on the curing of the polyester powder coating. The activation energy calculated by isoconversional Kissinger method was increased by either increasing the Ch‐g‐PANI content or the content of polyaniline in the filler, suggesting the contribution of the filler in the curing reactions. The cured samples were characterized using FTIR and TG analyses. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that the total thermal stability was enhanced upon the filler addition as detected from the values of integral procedural decomposition temperature. Furthermore, a dielectric study showed that the dielectric constant and loss were increased upon increasing of the filler. Vogel–Fulcher–Tammann equation was well‐fitted when used to examine the dependence of α‐relaxation on the temperature and the dielectrically calculated Tg values were comparable to that measured by DSC. In the present study, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were sulfonated by 1,3-propane sultone and distillation–precipitation polymerization, respectively, and then incorporated into chitosan (CS) to prepare CS/MWCNTs composite membranes for fuel cell applications. CS/MWCNTs membranes show better thermal and mechanical stability than pure CS membrane due to the strong electrostatic interaction between the  SO3H groups of MWCNTs and the  NH2 groups of CS, which can restrict the mobility of CS chain. The sulfonated MWCNTs provide efficient proton hopping sites ( SO3H,  SO3 …. 3+HN ), thereby resulting in the formation of continuous proton conducting channels. The composite membranes with 5 wt % of MWCNTs modified by two different ways show a proton conductivity of 0.026 and 0.025 S·cm−1, respectively. The effects of the surface charge type and density C496, C492 and A130LMW polyacrylamides (PAMs) on the rheological behavior of real industrial papermaking suspensions were quantitatively related to the degree of flocculation for the same industrial papermaking suspensions. The floc sizes were larger but less dense when anionic PAM was used, and this due to the repulsive forces between the anionic PAM and colloidal particles, leading to the development of open structure flocs of less density. On the other hand, rheological measurements showed that the papermaking suspension is thixotropic with a measurable yield stress. The results showed that the magnitude of the critical stress, τ c , complex viscosity, η*, elastic modulus, G′, and viscous modulus, G″, depend on the number of interactions between the PAM chains and particle surface and the strength of those interactions. Cationic PAM showed higher values of η*, G′, G″ and τ c compared to anionic PAM. This behavior is in good agreement with Bingham yield stress, τ B , adsorption and effective floc density results. Similar to oscillatory measurements, creep measurements also showed that the deformation was much lower for the cationic PAM based suspensions than for the anionic PAM based suspensions. Furthermore, the results revealed that increasing the cationic PAM surface charge decreases the floc size but increases the adsorption rate, elasticity and effective floc density proposing differences in the floc structures, which are not revealed clearly in the Bingham yield stress measurements.  相似文献
