An efficient and reliable algorithm for selecting the optimal exposure in video cameras of technicalvision systems is proposed. The algorithm is based on the Otsu binarization method. A theoretical justification of the convergence of the proposed algorithm is given. At the end of the paper, we discuss software and hardware aspects of a real-world implementation of our algorithm, which confirmed its efficiency and stability. Aleksandr Germanovich Safonov. Born in 1952. Received M. Eng. from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1975, as well as a D.Eng. in 1982. Safonov currently serves as a Department Head at the Lukin Institute of Physical Problems. His research interests include automatic information processing, image recognition, and microelectronics. He is the author of over 50 research publications. Ivan Alekseevich Kozlitin. Born in 1983. Received M.Eng. from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 2005. Kozlitin is currently a Ph.D. student at IMM of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a Research Fellow at the Lukin Institute of Physical Problems. His research interests include mathematic modelling, numerical methods, physics of imperfect plasma, and image processing. He is the author of ten research publications.  相似文献

This paper presents an algorithm for segmentation of convex cells with partially undefined edges based on application of a marker-controlled watershed transform to a combination of a source grayscale image and the result of a “geodesic distance” morphological operation, applied to the result of binarization of a source image. The presented approach is used in computer image processing systems for analysis of several industrial materials. The text was submitted by the authors in English. Ilia V. Safonov received his MS degree in automatic and electronic engineering from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute/University (MEPhI), Russia in 1994 and his PhD degree in computer science from MEPhI in 1997. Since 1998 he is an associate professor of faculty of Cybernetics of MEPhI while conducting researches in image segmentation, features extraction and pattern recognition problems. Since 2004, Dr. I. Safonov has joint Image Enhancement Technology Group, Printing Technology Lab, Samsung Research Center, Moscow, Russia where he is engaged in photo, video, and document image enhancement projects. Konstantin A. Kryzhanovsky received the MS degree in cybernetics from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute/University (MEPhI), Russia in 2000. Since 2006 he is an assistant professor of faculty of Cybernetics of MEPhI. He is presently working towards his Ph.D. degree. His current research interests include image processing and pattern recognition. Gennady N. Mavrin received his MS degree in automatic and electronic engineering from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute/University (MEPhI), Russia in 1998. Since 2002 he is an assistant professor of faculty of Cybernetics of MEPhI. He is currently pursuing the PhD degree. A thermodynamic analysis of an adsorption refrigerating plant with closed loops for a working substance and auxiliary liquid heat carrier has been carried out in application to the adsorption pair “water-CaCl2 impregnated into the pores of a silica gel.” Using the obtained periodic solutions of the system of energy-balance equations for the heat carrier and the sorbent layer, the most thermodynamically effective modes of operation of the refrigerating plant have been determined as functions of governing parameters. The entropy production in various modules of the plant is calculated, and the main sources of entropy generation are revealed. This made it possible to suggest an improved scheme of an adsorption refrigerating cycle with regenerative heat exchangers connected at the inlet and outlet from the adsorbers. An original method to estimate efficiency of the algorithms for opening and closing links in the wireless self-organizing networks (mesh networks) was proposed. It can be used to develop a mathematical model of the algorithm standardized in the mesh network specification IEEE 802.11s. The operation of blast furnaces at OAO Zaporozhstal’ with a Tarasov charging system is considered. This system ensures an axial channel at the center of the furnace for gas transmission. The efficiency of the system is demonstrated.  相似文献
