Reported here are the nonvolatile electrical characteristics of pentacene‐based organic field‐effect transistor (OFET) memory devices created from the green electrets of sugar‐based block copolymer maltoheptaose‐block‐polystyrene (MH‐b‐PS), and their supramolecules with 1‐aminopyrene (APy). The very hydrophilic and abundant‐hydroxyl MH block is employed as a charge‐trapping site, while the hydrophobic PS block serves as a matrix as well as a tunneling layer. The orientation of the MH nanodomains could be well controlled in the PS matrix with random spheres, vertical cylinders, and ordered horizontal cylinders via increasing solvent annealing time, leading to different electrical switching characteristics. The electron‐trapping ability induced by the horizontal‐cylinder MH is stronger than those of the random‐sphere and vertical‐cylinder structures, attributed to the effective contact area. The electrical memory window of the device is further improved via the supramolecules of hydrogen‐bonding 1‐aminopyrene to the MH moieties of MH‐b‐PS for enhancing the hole‐trapping ability. The optimized device using the horizontal cylinders of the supramolecule electret exhibits the excellent memory characteristics of a wide memory window (52.7 V), retention time longer than 104 s with a high ON/OFF ratio of >105, and stable reversibility over 200 cycles. This study reveals a new approach to achieve a high‐performance flash memory through the morphology control of sugar‐based block copolymers and their supramolecules.  相似文献

In this paper, a thermoelectric generator (TEG) model is developed as a tool for investigating optimized maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms for TEG systems within automotive exhaust heat energy recovery applications. The model comprises three main subsystems that make up the TEG system: the heat exchanger, thermoelectric material, and power conditioning unit (PCU). In this study, two MPPT algorithms known as the perturb and observe (P&O) algorithm and extremum seeking control (ESC) are investigated. A synchronous buck–boost converter is implemented as the preferred DC–DC converter topology, and together with the MPPT algorithm completes the PCU architecture. The process of developing the subsystems is discussed, and the advantage of using the MPPT controller is demonstrated. The simulation results demonstrate that the ESC algorithm implemented in combination with a synchronous buck–boost converter achieves favorable power outputs for TEG systems. The appropriateness is by virtue of greater responsiveness to changes in the system’s thermal conditions and hence the electrical potential difference generated in comparison with the P&O algorithm. The MATLAB/Simulink environment is used for simulation of the TEG system and comparison of the investigated control strategies.  相似文献

Although the histology of capsular tissue is well described in the literature, most studies in humans do not correlate histologic findings with implant age (number of years an implant was in place before sampling). As such, questions regarding the long-term histology in humans remain. The microanatomy of 93 human periprosthetic capsular tissues surrounding 22 textured and 71 smooth silicone-surfaced prostheses was studied. The implants were divided into two groups according to the time between implantation and capsulectomy: between 0 and 5 years or more than 5 years. Hematoxylin and eosin and Masson trichrome-stained sections were analyzed by light microscopy, with and without polarization. Eighteen of the textured implants contained silicone gel and four contained saline. Sixty of the smooth implants contained silicone gel, eight contained saline, and in three, the filler type was not known. For the majority of patients, surgery was performed for augmentation mammaplasty, and the implants were removed because of capsular contracture. The following histologic features were assessed: synovial-like metaplasia, villous hyperplasia, density of the collagenous capsule, alignment of collagen fibers within the capsule, and the presence of foreign material and of a foreign body reaction. The following trends were observed. In smooth implants, increasing implant duration was associated with a decrease in the presence of synovial-like metaplasia (p = 0.003) and villous hyperplasia; there was no significant difference in the presence of a dense collagenous capsule, the orientation of collagen fibers, or the presence of a foreign body reaction. An increase was observed in the presence of foreign material (p = 0.01). In textured implants, increasing implant duration was associated with a decrease in the presence of synovial-like metaplasia, villous hyperplasia (p = 0.003), dense collagenous architecture, and parallel orientation of collagen fibers (p = 0.017). An increase in the presence of a foreign body type reaction and foreign material (p = 0.024) was observed. In comparing textured and smooth-surfaced implants, synovial-like metaplasia was observed more often in the textured group, both at 0 to 5 years (p = 0.01) and at greater than 5 years (p < 0.01). Textured implants more often had villous hyperplasia at 0 to 5 years (p = 0.03) but not beyond 5 years. Smooth implants more often had a dense collagenous capsule than textured implants after 5 years. No significant difference was seen in the orientation of collagen fibers in capsules around smooth and textured implants at 0 to 5 years. After 5 years, the incidence of capsules with collagen fibers arranged parallel to the implant surface was significantly greater in the smooth group than in the textured group (p = 0.01). The presence of a foreign body type reaction was seen more often in the textured group between 0 and 5 years (p = 0.01) and at greater than 5 years (p < 0.01), and the presence of foreign material was more often seen in the textured group between 0 and 5 years (p = 0.06) and at greater than 5 years (p < 0.01). In summary, the cytologic changes around implants seem to be dynamic in nature, and implantation duration and shell type play a significant role. Synovial-like metaplasia, villous hyperplasia, and foreign material were more often observed in the textured group within the 0 to 5 year interval. Beyond 5 years, synovial-like metaplasia, a foreign body type reaction, and foreign material were more often observed in the textured group. Differences in the density of collagenous capsules were not significant at any time point, and collagen fibers oriented parallel to the implant surface were more often observed in the smooth group after 5 years. The significance of these findings awaits further investigation.  相似文献

HISTORY AND FINDINGS: A 60-year-old man underwent a continence-preserving anterior rectal resection for a high rectal carcinoma. After mobilisation on the 5th postoperative day dyspnoea and cyanosis suddenly developed requiring emergency intubation and mechanical ventilation. INVESTIGATIONS: His heart rate was 160/min, blood pressure 80/50 mmHg, mean pulmonary artery pressure by indwelling catheter was 70 mmHg. The electrocardiogram had the classical signs of acute right-heart overload. Transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE) demonstrated marked right-heart and pulmonary artery dilatation. TREATMENT AND COURSE: Despite thrombolytic treatment (bolus of 50 mg r-TPA; one day later bolus of 1 million IU urokinase followed by 100,000 IU/h) a new thromboembolus was seen by TOE to straddle the pulmonary artery bifurcation. After the urokinase dosage had been raised to 200,000 IU/h TOE on the 6th day no longer showed the embolus and documented a reduction in right-heart dilatation associated with improved haemodynamics. CONCLUSION: TOE is an ideal method for the rapid diagnosis and for monitoring the response to treatment of fulminant pulmonary arterial embolism. As it can also diagnose thromboembolism without significant haemodynamic consequences it is possible to adjust fibrinolytic treatment accordingly.  相似文献

The effect of the blending ratio of a polyurethane matrix and oil‐palm empty fruit bunch (EFB) fibers on the mechanical properties of biocomposite boards has been studied. The PU matrix and EFB fibers were used at blending ratios of 25:75, 30:70 and 35:65 (by weight). The mechanical property of hardness was studied. The intention of this study was to produce fiberboard from a vegetable oil‐based polyester as the matrix and biomass from the palm oil industry, namely EFB. It was found that the blending ratio with a lower filler loading (35:65) gave higher impact and flexural strengths due to better fiber encapsulation which enhanced the fiber–matrix interfacial adhesion. Performance test results of new alternative refrigerant mixtures such as R-410A, R-507, R-407C, and R-404A under various conditions of magnetic field are discussed, analysed and presented. The test results were obtained using an air-source heat pump set-up with enhanced surface tubing under various magnetic field conditions. Performance tests were conducted according to the ARI/ASHRAE Standards. The test results demonstrated that as magnetic field force increases, compressor head pressure and discharge temperature slightly increase as well as less liquid refrigerant is boiling in the compressor shell. This has a positive effect in protecting the compressor. The effect of magnetic field on mixture behaviour varies from one mixture to another depending upon the mixture's composition and its boiling point. Furthermore, the use of magnetic field appears to have a positive influence on the system COP as well as thermal capacities of condenser and evaporator. Summary. This paper studies the problem of two-dimensional electromagneto-thermovisco-elasticity based on Lord-Shulman theory for a thermally and electrically conducting half-space solid whose surface is subjected to a thermal shock. There acts an initial magnetic field parallel to the plane boundary of the half-space. The medium deforms because of thermal shock and due to the application of the magnetic field, it results in induced magnetic and electric fields in the medium. The normal mode analysis is used to obtain the exact expressions for the considered variables. The distributions of the temperature, displacement, stress, induced magnetic and electric fields are represented graphically. Comparisons are made with the results predicted by both the coupled theory and with the theory of generalized thermo-viscoelasticity with one relaxation time.  相似文献
