Al-SBA-15 of varying Si/Al ratios in the range 11.4–78.4 was synthesized using tri-block copolymer P123. The calcined materials were examined by XRD, pore size distribution, surface area, 27Al NMR spectroscopy. The acidity and acid strength distribution were studied using microcalorimetric adsorption of NH3. The acidic properties were also examined by cumene cracking reaction as a function of Si/Al ratios. Systematic variation of acidity and activity was observed as a function of Si/Al ratio. The initial heats of NH3 adsorption correlated well with activity indicate that acid sites with ΔH > 100 kJ/mole is responsible for cumene cracking activity. Linear correlations were obtained with total acidity and cumene cracking activities. The tetrahedral aluminum was found to be responsible for the observed acidities and catalytic activities.  相似文献

For two low‐density polyethylenes and two polystyrenes, axisymmetric and planar elongational viscosities are estimated using entrance loss data from capillary and slit rheometers, respectively. The elongational viscosity is estimated by optimizing the values of various parameters in the Sarkar–Gupta elongational viscosity model such that the entrance loss predicted by a finite element simulation agrees with the corresponding experimental data. The predicted entrance loss is in good agreement with the experimental data at high flow rates. The difference in the experimental and predicted entrance loss at lower flow rates might have been caused by large error in the experimental data in this range. POLYM. ENG. The criterion which gives a cut of the unit interval is called the Schnittaxiom. A novel spatio-temporal filter for video denoising, which operates entirely in the wavelet domain, is proposed. For effective noise reduction, the spatial and temporal redundancies that exist in the wavelet domain representation of a video signal are exploited. First, a 2D discrete wavelet transform is applied to the input noisy frames. This is followed by a discrete cosine transform (DCT), which is applied to the temporal subband coefficients to minimise the redundancy among the consecutive frames. The DCT transformed, noise-free coefficients in the different wavelet domain subbands for the original image sequence are modelled using a prior having a generalised Gaussian distribution. On the basis of this prior, filtering of the noisy wavelet coefficients in each subband is carried out using a new, low-complexity wavelet shrinkage method, which utilises the correlation that exists between subsequent resolution levels. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme outperforms several state-of-the-art spatio-temporal filters in terms of both the peak signal-to-noise ratio and the visual quality  相似文献

Because of undesirable side effects of chemical methods pulsed underwater corona discharges are emerging as a potential future advanced oxidation process (AOP) for water disinfection. In pulsed corona discharges a discharge channel is created, which contains a non-thermal plasma with a low degree of ionisation and low electron densities, but with electron energies of up to 10 eV. It has been demonstrated that electrons with this energy can dissociate water and oxygen molecules and produce various reactive radicals (*OH, H*, O*, HO2*), molecular species (H2O2, H2, O2), ultraviolet radiation and shock waves. It is supposed that the combination of all effects leads to a very efficient killing of microorganisms. To understand this in detail and to improve the efficiency of the overall system there is the need to develop suitable diagnostic methods for the quantitative determination of the various oxidants produced during the discharge. In this paper we present preliminary experimental results obtained with different chemical probes for *OH radicals, and H2O2 produced by pulsed corona discharges.  相似文献

A commonly used energy-efficient nylon 6 reactor is simulated under steady-state conditions. The effects of various operating conditions and parameters, e.g., feed composition, temperature and flow rate, heat transfer coefficients, and reactor dimensions, on the temperature and molecular weight profiles are studied. A temperature maximum is observed in the reactor under usual conditions of operation. The maximum value of the temperature is sensitive to the feed conditions, and one has to ensure that degradation reactions speeded up at high temperatures do not affect product characteristics. The model and the numerical technique used are fairly simple and account for most of the important features of industrial reactors. Hence, these can be used in the development of digital-control algorithms in the future.  相似文献

Melt rheological properties of the ternary blend of isotactic polypropylene (PP), styreneethylene–butylene–styrene terpolymer (SEBS), and polycarbonate (PC), PP/SEBS/PC, are studied in a wide range of composition, such that PP is the matrix and SEBS and PC are the minor components, with the proportion of one varying from 0 to 30% at various fixed compositions of the other. The respective binary blends, PP/SEBS and PP/PC, studied as the reference systems for interpretation of results on the ternary blends yielded interesting new information about the morphology development and its correlation with melt rheological properties of these binary blends. The studies include the measurement of melt rheological properties on a capillary rheometer in the shear rate range 101–104 s?1 at a fixed temperature of 240°C. The data presented as conventional flow curves are analyzed for the effect of blend composition and shear rate on pseudoplasticity, melt viscosity, and melt elasticity, and role of each individual component is identified. Morphology of dispersed phases of these blends is studied through scanning electron microscopy of the cryogenically fractured and suitably etched surfaces. Variations of morphology with blend composition and shear rate showed interesting correlation with melt rheological properties, which are discussed in detail. An important finding of the morphological studies is that in the PP/SEBS/PC ternary blend the SEBS phase forms two types of morphologies depending on the blend composition and shear rate: (i) simple droplets and (ii) boundary layer at the surface of the PC droplets. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

A cadmium ethylenediamine solvent (cadoxen) of modified composition containing 0.5 M sodium hydroxide, 5% cadmium, and 28–30 % ethylenediamine was found to dissolve high molecular cotton materials even under higher ambient temperature conditions as in India. The stability of cellulose solutions in this solvent was still high enough to enable viscosity measurements without exclusion of air. Intrinsic Viscosity values were determined for a large number of cellulosic materials. A study of the kinetics of degradation of cellulosic solutions in cadoxen gave comparatively higher rate constants in nitrogen atmosphere and a higher energy of activation as compared to other alkaline solvents indicating that degradation in cadoxen cannot be considered primarily oxidative in nature.  相似文献

The aqueous polymerization of acrylamide initiated by potassium permanganate/β-hydroxybutyric acid has been studied volumetrically at 35 ± 0.01°C in an inert medium. The rate of polymerization shows nearly square root dependence on β-hydroxybutyric acid at low concentration (3.12 – 12.5 · 10?3 mol dm?3). The order with respect to potassium permanganate has been found to be 0.6 indicating thereby a bimolecular mode of termination. The polymerization rate has been varied linearly at low monomer concentrations i.e. from 2.5 –7.0 · 10?2 mol dm?3. The dependence of number average degree of polymerization on the initial rate of polymerization and temperature has been determined. The over-all activation energy has been found to be 51.66 kJ mol?1. A kinetic reaction scheme is proposed on the basis of experimental results.  相似文献
