Failure diagnosability has been widely studied for discrete event system (DES) models because of modeling simplicity and computational efficiency due to abstraction. In the literature it is often held that for diagnosability, such models can be used not only for systems that fall naturally in the class of DES but also for the ones traditionally treated as continuous variable dynamic systems. A class of algorithms for failure diagnosability of DES models has been successfully developed for systems where fairness is not a part of the model. These algorithms are based on detecting cycles in the normal and the failure model that look identical. However, there exist systems with all transitions fair where the diagnosability condition that hinges upon this feature renders many failures non-diagnosable although they may actually be diagnosable by transitions out of a cycle. Hence, the diagnosability conditions based on cycle detection need to be modified to hold for many real-world systems where all transitions are fair. In this work, however, it is shown by means of an example that a system may have some transitions fair and some unfair. A new failure diagnosability mechanism is proposed for DES models with both fair and unfair transitions. Time complexity for deciding diagnosability of DES models with fair and unfair transitions is analyzed and compared with the time complexities of other DES diagnosability analysis methods reported in the literature.  相似文献

All elliptic curve cryptographic schemes are based on scalar multiplication of points, and hence its faster computation signifies faster operation. This paper proposes two different parallelization techniques to speedup the GF(p) elliptic curve multiplication in affine coordinates and the corresponding architectures. The proposed implementations are capable of resisting different side channel attacks based on time and power analysis. The 160, 192, 224 and 256 bits implementations of both the architectures have been synthesized and simulated for both FPGA and 0.13μ CMOS ASIC. The final designs have been prototyped on a Xilinx Virtex-4 xc4vlx200-12ff1513 FPGA board and performance analyzes carried out. The experimental result and performance comparison show better throughput of the proposed implementations as compared to existing reported architectures.  相似文献

This article studies the time-optimal output transition problem to change the system output, from an initial value (for all time ) to a final value (for all time ), for invertible nonlinear systems. The main contribution of the article is to show that the use of pre- and post-actuation input outside the transition interval IT=[0,T] can reduce the transition time T beyond the standard bang–bang-type inputs for optimal state transition. The advantage of using pre- and post-actuation is demonstrated with an illustrative nonlinear example.  相似文献

This article presents a novel method to improve the measurement sensitivity and reduce impact forces in tapping-mode atomic force microscopy by reshaping the tip trajectory. A tapping drive signal composed of two harmonics is used to generate an oscillating trajectory with a broader valley compared to the typical sinusoidal trajectory. The wide broad valley reduces the velocity of the tip in the vicinity of the sample and allots a greater portion of each period in the vicinity of the sample. Numerical simulations show that this results in decreased impact force and increased sensitivity of the cantilever oscillation to changes in tip-sample offset. Experimental results demonstrate an increase in image sharpness and decrease in tip wear using the bi-harmonic driving signal.  相似文献

The current paper focuses on enhancing the surface hardness of the heat-treatable Al-alloy using the combined approach of thermal-spray, friction stir surface processing (FSSP) and heat-treatment. Copper powder was thermal-sprayed in the surface groove of Al 6061 alloy specimens followed by FSSP. Defect-free stirred zone was observed at lower transverse speed of 10 mm/min. The width of the hardness profiles across the stirred zone was increased with increase in the rotational speed of the tool. Grain refining was observed in the stirred zone due to the FSSP. In post-FSSP T6 heat-treatment, aging kinetics in the non-surface-alloyed specimen was accelerated due to the FSSP. Precipitation of Al2Cu phase was observed in the stirred zone. Copper-alloying and post-FSSP heat-treatment were effective in enhancing the surface hardness (about 39% improvement in the surface hardness was observed).  相似文献

To understand the flow behavior of a newly developed austenitic stainless steel 316LN with 0.14 wt% nitrogen, isothermal compression tests have been carried out in the hot working domain. From the analysis of flow behavior, it is observed that the nitrogen enhanced steel, in its hot working domain exhibits strain and strain rate hardening with thermal softening. The flow behavior analysis also demonstrates the coupled effect of strain–temperature and strain rate temperature on the flow stress. To depict the flow behavior of the material, strain compensated Arrhenius (SCA) equation and Model D8A have been used. The SCA predicts the flow curves with an average absolute error of 9.27% and a correlation coefficient of 0.977, whereas the prediction by Model D8A gives the average absolute relative error as 10.86% with a correlation coefficient of 0.966. For high temperature and intermediate strain rate, both Model D8A and SCA equation depict the flow behavior of 316L (0.14)N SS with good correlation and generalization. However, at low temperature and high strain rate domain, both the models are unable to depict the behavior; this is attributed to the fact that the material shows two slope behaviors where the constants have been calculated assuming a linear relationship between stress and strain rate.  相似文献

The objective of the present investigation was to formulate curcumin loaded fish scale collagen (FSC)-hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC K100) nanogel (CNG) for wound healing application. The curcumin nanoemulsion was prepared, characterized and loaded in FSC-HPMC nanogel. The nanogel was evaluated for ex-vivo permeation, in-vivo, skin irritation, and stability study. Ex-vivo permeation study demonstrated that CNG prolonged release and exhibited higher percent contraction value of wound compared to other formulations. In skin irritation study, formulation produced the score of less than 2 compared to control. It concluded that curcumin loaded FSC-HPMC nanogel could be prepared for wound healing applications.  相似文献

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) of Cu-0.80Cr-0.10Zr (in wt pct) alloy under aged condition was performed to study the effects of process parameters on microstructure and properties of the joint. FSW was performed over a wide range of process parameters, like tool-rotation speed (from 800 to 1200 rpm) and tool-travel speed (from 40 to 100 mm/min), and the resulting thermal cycles were recorded on both sides (advancing and retreating) of the joint. The joints were characterized for their microstructure and tensile properties. The welding process resulted in a sound and defect-free weld joint, over the entire range of the process parameters used in this study. Microstructure of the stir zone showed fine and equiaxed grains, the scale of which varied with FSW process parameters. Grain size in the stir zone showed direct correlation with tool rotation and inverse correlation with tool-travel speed. Tensile strength of the weld joints was ranging from 225 to 260 MPa, which is substantially lower than that of the parent metal under aged condition (~ 400 MPa), but superior to that of the parent material under annealed condition (~ 220 MPa). Lower strength of the FSW joint than that of the parent material under aged condition can be attributed to dissolution of the precipitates in the stir zone and TMAZ. These results are presented and discussed in this paper.

In this article, we report Co-Co2B and Ni-Ni3B nanocomposites as catalyst for hydrogen generation from alkaline sodium borohydride. Kinetic studies of the hydrolysis of sodium borohydride with Co-Co2B and Ni-Ni3B nanocomposites reveal that the concentration of NaBH4 has no effect on the rate of hydrogen generation. Hydrolysis was found to be first order with respect to the concentration of catalyst. The catalytic activity of Co-Co2B was found to be much higher than that of Ni-Ni3B as inferred from the activation energies 35.245 KJ/mol and 55.810 kJ/mol, respectively. Co-Co2B nanocomposites were found to be more magnetic than Ni-Ni3B. These catalysts showed superior recyclability with almost the similar catalytic activities for several hydrolytic cycles supporting the principles of sustainability. Co-Co2B catalyst showed hydrogen generation rate of about 4300 mL/min/g which is comparable to most of the reported good catalysts till date.  相似文献
