Raman, UV and XRD studies have been performed to characterize the structures of differently prepared samples of poly(methyl-n-propylsilane). The results demonstrate polymorphism of this polymer between Tc and Tg. At room temperature the polymer can exist in up to four modifications which comprise one amorphous disordered phase and three more ordered modifications, differing in the interchain organization and in the silicon backbone conformations. The latter are considered to be deviant, transoid and all-anti, respectively. The number of the modifications present and relative amount of each strongly depends on the preparation method and thermal history of the sample as well as on the molecular weight.  相似文献

RNA non-enzymatic recombination reactions are of great interest within the hypothesis of the “RNA world”, which argues that at some stage of prebiotic life development proteins were not yet engaged in biochemical reactions and RNA carried out both the information storage task and the full range of catalytic roles necessary in primitive self-replicating systems. Here we report on the study of recombination reaction occuring between two 96 nucleotides (nts) fragments of RNAs under physiological conditions and governed by a short oligodeoxyribonucleotide template, partially complementary to sequences within each of the RNAs. Analysis of recombination products shows that ligation is predominantly template-directed, and occurs within the complementary complex with the template in “butt-to-butt” manner, in 1- or 3- nts bulges or in 2–3 nts internal loops. Minor recombination products formed in the template-independent manner are detected as well.  相似文献

We review our recent study on the polyamorphism of the liquid and glass states in a monatomic system, a two-scale spherical-symmetric Jagla model with both attractive and repulsive interactions. This potential with a parametrization for which crystallization can be avoided and both the glass transition and the liquid-liquid phase transition are clearly separated, displays water-like anomalies as well as polyamorphism in both liquid and glassy states, providing a unique opportunity to study the interplay between the liquid-liquid phase transition and the glass transition. Our study on a simple model may be useful in understanding recent studies of polyamorphism in metallic glasses.  相似文献

A continuous ultrasound assisted process using a single screw compounding extruder with an ultrasonic attachment was developed to prepare polyolefin/clay nanocomposites. High‐density polyethylene and isotactic polypropylene were compared. The feed rate that controls the residence time of the polymer in the ultrasonic treatment zone was varied. Die pressure and power consumption were measured. Rheological properties, morphology, and mechanical properties of the untreated and ultrasonically treated nanocomposites were studied. Similarities and differences of obtained nanocomposites are discussed based on their properties and structural characteristics. The modified Halpin‐Tsai theory of composite materials has been employed in order to predict the effect of incomplete exfoliation of clay platelets on the Young's modulus of the nanocomposites. A good agreement between experimental and theoretical data has been observed when reduction of the reinforcement efficiency of clay had been incorporated through the reduced aspect ratio of elementary clay platelets. The isothermal section of the Er-Ag-Sn system at 873 K was constructed with the use of scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive x-ray microanalysis and x-ray powder diffraction. Two ternary compounds were confirmed at this temperature: ErAgSn (LiGaGe structure type, P63mc, Z = 2, a = 4.6595(2) Å, c = 7.2872(3) Å) and non-stoichiometric phase ErAg1?xSn2+x (Cu3Au structure type, Pm-3m, Z = 1). For the last one homogeneity range was established (0.08 < x < 0.24) and lattice parameters were determined (a = 4.5007(4), 4.5040(2), 4.5107(1), 4.5412(1) Å for the compositions Er25.4Ag23.4Sn51.2, Er25.7Ag23.0Sn51.3, Er25.7Ag21.7Sn52.6, Er25.2Ag18.6Sn56.2 (at.%) respectively). Melting point of the phase Er25.7Ag21.7Sn52.6 (at.%) was determined to be 1199 K by differential thermal analysis.  相似文献

The oxidation of ZrB2–SiC and ZrB2–SiC–ZrSi2 ceramics of different composition has been studied experimentally at 1500 °C in pure oxygen for up to 50 h. ZrB2–SiC–ZrSi2 ceramics proved to be the most oxidation-resistant at ZrSi2 contents of less then 4 wt%. These ceramics were more oxidation-resistant than ZrB2–SiC ceramics. An analytical model of growth kinetics for a multilayered scale based on an oxidation–diffusion balance was developed and tested.  相似文献

Nano-size YAG powder co-mixed with 0.25 wt.% LiF was used to fabricate transparent polycrystalline YAG specimens by means of the Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) technique. The presence of the LiF additive in the initial nano-powder allows obtaining fully dense disc shaped (up to 4 mm thick) transparent specimens at the outcome of a 2 h treatment at 1300 °C. The presence of LiF plays a key role in the mass transport related effects during the densification of YAG to full density and also in the elimination of the residual carbon contamination, allowing reaching a level of optical transmittance close to the theoretical value.  相似文献

Mesoporous titania films were prepared by template-assisted dip coating on 1.4301 stainless-steel substrates processed by grinding and spark erosion to different degrees of roughness. The influence of substrate roughness on the morphology and mesostructure of deposited films was studied. Textures produced by grinding with roughness Ra ranging from 0.10 to 0.78 μm did not noticeably affect the pore structure as confirmed by similar pore size and a single cubic mesophase formed on grinded steel. Grinding had a modest effect on the film integrity which manifested in fractures developed in the texture depressions. Greater roughness of the steel produced by spark erosion affected the micelle self-assembly process yielding two different mesophases on a substrate of 1.08 μm roughness, and resulting in a predominant loss of templated mesostructure on a rougher (Ra = 2.69 μm) substrate surface. Film surface area expressed as m2 BET per m2 of the substrate planar dimensions increased with substrate roughness. Higher roughness resulted in higher photocatalytic activity of crystalline films when tested in methylene blue decomposition. Given that a moderate surface texture had a negligible effect on the film mesostructure, introducing controlled substrate roughness may serve as a technique to enhance the total film surface area.  相似文献

Under certain conditions, strain rate sensitive materials such as dual phase steels, show formability improvement under high strain rate forming which is known as hyperplasticity. In this research, two commercial dual phase steel sheets, DP500 and DP780, were formed under quasi-static conditions using the Nakazima test and under high strain rate conditions by electrohydraulic forming (EHF) into a conical die. Macro-strains, measured from electro-etched circle grids with an FMTI analyzer, showed remarkable formability improvement in EHF specimens. Micro-strains, i.e., the strains in the ferrite and the martensite, were calculated by quantitative metallography of more than 7000 ferrite grains and 10,500 martensite islands. The goal was to investigate the deformation improvement of the constituents under EHF. Around 20 and 100% deformation improvements were observed in ferrite and martensite, respectively. Furthermore, as a micro-mechanical modeling technique, correlation of the micro-strains with the macro-strains was investigated by applying the mixture rule. Results showed a reasonable correlation between the macro and micro-scale strains; however in banded microstructures, the strain in the martensite should be determined precisely for more accuracy.  相似文献

The paper is dedicated to the study of pulsed electromagnetic attraction processes which can deform ferromagnetic sheet metal materials such as low carbon steels using low frequency discharges. The analytical model based upon the solution of Maxwell equations explains that magnetic forces are prevailing over the Lorentz forces for low frequency discharges. For electromagnetic forming (EMF) processes employing ferromagnetic sheet metal blanks of low electrical conductivity with relatively slow electric discharges, the magnetic forces should be taken into account in order to achieve a correct representation of electromagnetic forces applied to the blank. An engineering estimate on the size of magneto-static forces and Lorentz-forces is the outcome of the analytical work. In addition to analytical work and validation of the proposed engineering estimate of attracting forces, a single turn coil is introduced which is more robust than previous designs with multiple frequencies and interrupted discharges. The simplified setup only requires a rather slow single frequency low voltage electric discharge which allows for using cheaper and longer life capacitors, substantially reduces the safety implications and also extends the life of the coil insulation.  相似文献
