Supercritical fluid chromatography coupled with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry shows high potential for the determination at ultratrace levels of organometallic compounds of environmental interest. In this study the determination of organotin compounds at ultratrace levels is demonstrated. In this work a supercritical fluid chromatography/inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (SFC/ICPMS) interface was developed. Separation of tetraalkyltin compounds shows detection levels in the subpicogram range (0.034 pg for tetrabutyltin; 0.047 pg for tetraphenyltin). The linear ranges are over 3 orders magnitude (1-1000 pg). The reproducibility of sample injections are better than 5% RSD. 相似文献

Previous results from FRET and BRET experiments and computational analysis (docking simulations) have suggested that a portion of the third intracellular loop (I3) of the human dopamine D2 receptor (D2R) and the C-tail from the human adenosine A2A receptor (A2AR) are involved in A2AR-D2R heteromerization. The results of the present studies, using pull-down and mass spectrometry experiments, suggest that A2AR-D2R heteromerization depends on an electrostatic interaction between an Arg-rich epitope from the I3 of the D2R (217RRRRKR222) and two adjacent Asp residues (DD401-402) or a phosphorylated Ser (S374) residue in the C-tail of the A2AR. A GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal domain of the A2AR (GST-A2ACT) was able to pull down the whole D2R solubilized from D2R-tranfected HEK-293 cells. Second, a peptide corresponding to the Arg-rich I3 region of the D2R (215VLRRRRKRVN224) and bound to Sepharose was able to pull down both GST-A2ACT and the whole A2AR solubilized from A2AR-tranfected HEK-293 cells. Finally, mass spectometry and pull-down data showed that the Arg-rich D2R epitope binds to two different epitopes from the C-terminal part of the A2AR, containing the two adjacent Asp residues or the phosphorylated Ser residue (388HELKGVCPEPPGLDDPLAQDGAVGS412 and 370SAQEpSQGNT378). The present results are the first example of epitope-epitope electrostatic interaction underlying receptor heteromerization, a new, expanding area of protein-protein interactions. 相似文献

We study the evolution of scientific collaboration at Atapuerca’s archaeological complex along its emergence as a large-scale research infrastructure (LSRI). Using bibliometric and fieldwork data, we build and analyze co-authorship networks corresponding to the period 1992–2011. The analysis of such structures reveals a stable core of scholars with a long experience in Atapuerca’s fieldwork, which would control coauthorship-related information flows, and a tree-like periphery mostly populated by ‘external’ researchers. Interestingly, this scenario corresponds to the idea of a Equipo de Investigación de Atapuerca, originally envisioned by Atapuerca’s first director 30 years ago. These results have important systemic implications, both in terms of resilience of co-authorship structures and of ‘oriented’ or ‘guided’ self-organized network growth. Taking into account the scientific relevance of LSRIs, we expect a growing number of quantitative studies addressing collaboration among scholars in this sort of facilities in general and, particularly, emergent phenomena like the Atapuerca case. 相似文献

During the last decades, small molecule organic semiconductors have been successfully used as active layer in organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs). Despite the high mobility achieved so far with organic molecules, in order to progress in the field it is crucial to find techniques to process them from solution. The device reproducibility is one of the principal weak points of organic electronics for further commercialization. To achieve a high device‐to‐device reproducibility it is essential to control the morphology and polymorphism of the active layer for OFET application. In this work, the preparation of thin films is reported based on blends of the organic semiconductor dibenzo‐tetrathiafulvalene (DB‐TTF) and polystyrene by a solution shearing technique compatible with upscaling. Here, it is demonstrated that varying the deposition parameters (i.e., speed and temperature) or the solution formulation (i.e., semiconductor/binder polymer ratio) is possible to control the film morphology and semiconductor polymorphism and, hence, the different intermolecular interactions. It is demonstrated that the control of the thermodynamics and kinetics of the crystallization process is key for the device performance optimization. Further, this is the first time that DB‐TTF thin films of the α‐polymorph are reported. 相似文献

Abstract Obtaining holographic volume gratings with high diffraction efficiencies that can be used under white light has been a serious problem for the polyvinyl alcohol-acrylamide-based photopolymers developed by other researchers. In this paper we propose to eliminate the residual monomer in order to stabilize the holographic gratings. The residual dye and residual monomer are the main problems in achieving high diffraction efficiencies stable under white light. In order to polymerize the residual monomer we illuminate the gratings with coherent green light and incoherent white light and we heat the grating at 80°C for different times. We also study the conservation of gratings dried in critical conditions of humidity and temperature. After stabilization the diffraction efficiencies achieved were clearly higher than 90%. 相似文献

Kenkey is a popular staple food of Ghana. It consists of fermented and cooked maize dough, wrapped in leaves. The traditional kenkey-making process is laborious and time consuming (4–6 days). An accelerated option for industrial manufacture of kenkey in sausage casings was developed, which takes approximately 24 h. Hydration of maize to 40% (w/w) moisture content was shortened from 48 to 10 h by pre-cracking the kernels. Fermentation was shortened from 3–4 days to 12 h by incorporating the aflata into the dumpling prior to fermentation, and by using a starter dough. Cooking time and thus energy expenditure was reduced from 2 h to 35 min by changing the dimensions of the kenkey mass from 10–15 cm diameter balls to 6 cm diameter cylinders. Due to the different conditions, yeasts were somewhat more active than in traditional kenkey, resulting in higher ethanol levels. However, these remained low and ethanol had disappeared after cooking. The combination of lactic acid fermentation and cooking resulted in a microbiologically stable product, even after the dumpling had been deliberately contaminated. 相似文献
