An ultra-thin FeO(111) film grown on Pt(111) is found to exhibit a much higher rate of CO oxidation at stoichiometric CO:O2 ratios than the clean Pt(111) surface. This unexpected result is rationalized on the basis of reaction induced dewetting of the oxide film, ultimately resulting in highly dispersed FeO x nanoparticles on Pt(111). The effect may have a strong impact on the catalytic properties of the noble metal particles encapsulated by the reducible oxide support as a result of strong metal-support interaction. 相似文献

This article provides an overview of the advances that have been marked during the last decades in the field of hydroconversion of high n‐alkanes (C7 +) with particular stress on the promising ways to meet the requirements for improved quality of motor fuels and oils. Particular attention is given to a catalyst formulation for selective conversion of high n‐alkanes to branched hydrocarbons. The challenge for successfully solving this problem is to find an effective catalyst favoring the isomerization of n‐alkanes without too much cracking. The regulation of active sites and adsorption properties, as well as the topology of support surfaces, allows a more predictive design of novel catalysts for selective conversion of high n‐alkanes into their branched isomers. 相似文献

targets. The dependences of structural, electric, and optical characteristics of ZnO:Ga films on the substrate temperature

Ribosomal silencing factor S (RsfS) is a conserved protein that plays a role in the mechanisms of ribosome shutdown and cell survival during starvation. Recent studies demonstrated the involvement of RsfS in the biogenesis of the large ribosomal subunit. RsfS binds to the uL14 ribosomal protein on the large ribosomal subunit and prevents its association with the small subunit. Here, we estimated the contribution of RsfS amino acid side chains at the interface between RsfS and uL14 to RsfS anti-association function in Staphylococcus aureus through in vitro experiments: centrifugation in sucrose gradient profiles and an S. aureus cell-free system assay. The detected critical Y98 amino acid on the RsfS surface might become a new potential target for pharmacological drug development and treatment of S. aureus infections. 相似文献
