In a previous paper, we proposed a novel linear synchronous motor with half‐wave‐rectified self‐excitation. A long‐stator‐type linear synchronous motor was built and its performance was verified by experiments. This paper presents a new current control method for the linear synchronous motor in order to achieve a wide range of speeds and high‐power operations. First, we propose a current control method for high‐thrust operation in the constant‐thrust region. This operation is realized by using the reluctance thrust resulting from the saliency of the linear synchronous motor. We also propose a control method that maximizes the ratio of the thrust to the voltage; this method can be used to expand the operating range. Wide‐range‐speed operation can be achieved by applying this new control method along with field‐weakening control. The thrust and operating characteristics of the proposed control methods are estimated by performing experiments and coupled electric and magnetic analysis.  相似文献

We developed a laser induced incandescence–mass spectrometric analyzer (LII-MS) for online measurements quantifying the aerosol chemical compositions with respect to the mixing state of black carbon (BC). The LII-MS is developed as a tandem series comprising an LII chamber to detect and vaporize BC-containing particles and a particle trap laser desorption mass spectrometer (PT-LDMS: Takegawa et al. 2012). The PT-LDMS collects aerosol particles transferred from the LII chamber and quantifies the chemical compositions. A newly designed collection probe, coupled with the sheath-air inlet nozzle of the LII chamber, enables a high throughput of aerosol particles without significant dilution. Total aerosol particles can be analyzed in the PT-LDMS by turning off the laser (MS mode), and the aerosol particles externally mixed with BC can be analyzed by turning on the laser (LII-MS mode). The difference in the PT-LDMS signals between the MS and LII-MS modes yields the chemical composition of materials internally mixed with BC. Performance of the developed instrument was evaluated in the laboratory by generating BC particles internally-mixed with oleic acid (OL) and BC particles externally mixed with ammonium sulfate particles. Preliminary results from ambient measurements are also presented and discussed.

Abstract— A 5.2-in.-diagonal simple-structured argon-mercury cold-cathode flat discharge fluorescent lamp has been developed for LCD backlighting. A pair of insulated electrodes is provided at the top and bottom ends of the inner surface of the front glass plate. Phosphor is deposited on both the front and rear glass plates. A luminance of 30,000 cd/m2 and a luminous efficacy of 50 lm/W were obtained with a luminance uniformity of 92% without the use of a diffuser sheet. A mechanism for obtaining the high luminous efficacy is described. Luminance can be dimmed down to 4% of the peak value by extending the pulse interval and/or by reducing the pulse amplitude.  相似文献

Entirely hydride VPE-grown 1.5?m DFB lasers have been obtained by means of high controllability in film thickness and alloy composition for the GalnAsP/InP system. A low threshold current of 13 mA was achieved by improving the growth method for the layer burying the grating. We present a new paradigm of Si technologies to establish a gigahertz-operation gigascale integrated system large-scale integration (LSI), including digital and analog circuits. According to the theoretical analysis of high-speed signal propagation properties in the practical LSI structure, a gas-isolated-interconnect high-k gate dielectric metal-gate metal-substrate silicon-on-insulator (SOI) LSI structure is proposed as a possible solution for a future gigahertz GSI system LSI, where the clock rate is improved up to beyond 10 GHz and the minimum feature size is reduced down to 0.035 μm in keeping with the continuous progress of the LSI's speed performance. Perfect scientific manufacturing free from fluctuations consisting of total low-temperature high-quality and high-speed processes based on very high-density plasma having very low electron temperatures is essential to realize them  相似文献

The effects of heat treatment in Q2, O2 and N2, and Ar gases on the high temperature (500 C) electrical resistivity of indium tin oxide (ITO) film 52 nm thick prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis method were studied. The partial oxygen pressure effect on the resistivity was found to be to . The resistivity changes for cyclic exchange of O2 by Ar gas at 500 C. These lead to the conclusion that chemisorption of oxygen atoms in the film surface is dominant for this thin film, for thicker films such as 640 nm oxygen diffusion is found to occur. The Langmuir model of the monolayer isothermal adsorption of oxygen atoms in the surface is applicable to the rapid change of resistivity.  相似文献

As a microscale tool for observing GaAs-Alx Ga1–xAs heterostructures, backscattered electron (BE) images in the scanning electron microscope (SEM) were compared with conventional secondary electron (SE) images. BE images were found to be more sensitive to compositional differences between GaAs and AlxGa1–xAs and less sensitive to surface roughness. BE images have a spatial resolution of 10 nm or better. This method enables the nondestructive observation of ultrafine lateral periodic structures, such as quantum-well-wire (QWW) structures, fabricated by compositional disordering technology using focused Ga ion-beam (Ga-FIB) implantation into GaAs-AlxGa1–xAs material.  相似文献

Automatic toothbrushing with a commercial dentifrice containing hydroxyapatite (HAP) crystals was performed on the tangential polished surfaces of sound human enamel, mainly consisting of biological apatite similar to HAP, for 10 min in vitro. The X-ray diffraction peaks of HAP, brushite (DCPD), and monetite (DCP) crystals were detected from the dentifrice. After brushing, the enamel surfaces were observed with a scanning electron and a confocal scanning laser microscope. The brushing caused larger abrasive loss and more remarkable roughness of the enamel surfaces following the broad traces of brush bristles and the exposure of prism structures than brushing with a dentifrice containing only DCPD, which we previously reported. We claim that the fine granular-shaped HAP crystals of the dentifrice indicated as an active ingredient for preventing enamel caries possess stronger abrasivity of sound enamel than the DCPD and DCP as abrasives on account of their Mohs hardness values rather than sizes and shapes. The HAP crystals of dentifrices may not occlude the small defects of early caries enamel, but erode them more strongly as an abrasive than the other abrasives.  相似文献
