The diffusion coefficient (D) values of tert‐butyloxycarbonyl‐glycine, tert‐butyloxycarbonyl‐L ‐tryptophan, tert‐butyloxycarbonyl‐L ‐phenylalanine (Boc‐Phe), and 9‐fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl‐L ‐phenylalanine in Merrifield polystyrene (MPS) gels, poly(ethylene glycol)‐grafted polystyrene (PEG–PS) gels, and crosslinked ethoxylate acrylate (CLEAR) gels, as used in solid‐phase peptide synthesis, were determined by the pulsed‐field‐gradient spin‐echo 1H‐NMR method. From these experimental results, it was found that the amino acids in MPS gels, PEG–PS gels, and CLEAR gels with N,N‐dimethylformamide‐d7 (DMF‐d7) as a solvent had multidiffusion components within a measurement timescale of 10 ms. The D value of Boc‐Phe in polystyrene gels (1% divinylbenzene crosslinked) with tetrahydrofuran‐d8 was much larger than that in the same gels with DMF‐d7. We have previously reported that vitamin K2 (VK2) but not VK1 has a potent apoptosis-inducing effect on freshly isolated leukemia cells from patients with various types of leukemia. By multi-color flow cytometric analysis using monoclonal antibody (mAb), APO2.7, which detects mitochondrial 7A6 antigen specifically expressed by cells undergoing apoptosis, we further investigated the apoptosis-inducing effect of VK2 on minor populations of leukemic blast cells in bone marrow from patients with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and overt myeloid leukemia (post-MDS AML). Limiting dilution of CD95 (anti-Fas) mAb-treated apoptotic Jurkat cells with nonapoptotic CTB-1 cells revealed that APO2.7-positive Jurkat cells were consistently detectable by flow cytometry when present at levels of at least 5% in the CTB-1 suspension. In patient samples the gating area for leukemic clone was determined using cell surface antigen-specific mAbs conjugated with either fluorescein isothionate (FITC) or phycoerythrin (PE) and subsequently the cells stained with phycoerythrin cyanine (PE-Cy5)-conjugated APO2.7 mAb were assessed within the gating area of the leukemic clone for monitoring apoptosis. Treatment of the bone marrow mononuclear cells with 3-10 microM of VK2 (menaquinone-3, -4 and -5) in vitro potently induced apoptosis of the leukemic blast cells as compared with the untreated control cells in all 15 MDS patients tested. This effect was more prominent on blastic cells than that on mature myeloid cells such as CD34-/CD33+ gated cells. In addition, VK2 performed much less effectively on CD3-positive lymphoid cells. In contrast to VK2, VK1 did not show apoptosis-inducing activity. These data suggest that VK2 may be used for treatment of patients with MDS in blastic transformation. 相似文献

In the original Grover algorithm, an exact or almost exact search such that the success probability is unity or infinitesimally close to unity is possible only for certain values of the fraction λ = M/N where M is the number of marked items that are stored in an unsorted database of N items. There are various modified algorithms with an adjustable phase or phases such that an exact search can be done for any value of λ by means of a finite number of Grover-type operations. Among them, the algorithm proposed by Long is the simplest in the sense that it has only one adjustable phase and that the phase can be obtained in a closed form. Temporal segmentation of successive actions in a long-term video sequence has been a long-standing problem in computer vision. In this paper, we exploit a novel learning-based framework. Given a video sequence, only a few characteristic frames are selected by the proposed selection algorithm, and then the likelihood to trained models is calculated in a pair-wise way, and finally segmentation is obtained as the optimal model sequence to realize the maximum likelihood. The average accuracy on IXMAS dataset reached to 80.5% at frame level, using only 16.5% of all frames in computation time of 1.57 s per video which has 1160 frames on the average. 相似文献

In the last decade, application of fullerenes has been proposed actively in a wide range of areas, and recent developments suggest that many of those applications are to be practical technologies. However, there has been no large-scale production enterprise for commercial usage of fullerenes. High production cost and limited availability of fullerenes have been the main obstacle in the development of the Fullerene Market. Improved flame-based technology leads to the most feasible process for mass production of fullerenes, since it is a continuous process and uses inexpensive hydrocarbons as its starting materials. The optimum BISDN teleconference service for business, called hypermedia teleconference, is designed based on research into typical business activities and ATM, the most promising BISDN architecture. Service characteristics are determined by analysing the daily work practices of a large set of businessmen. It is shown that communication tasks occupy 44 per cent of the working day. The analysis further shows that some 60 per cent of all communication tasks could be performed through an advanced digital teleconference service. Hypermedia teleconference is designed to satisfy the needs of business through personal communication terminals and ATM public networks. The terminals effectively allocate the BISDN's high-speed transmission capability between a number of subchannels that realize distributed multipoint connection links and multimedia paths. The terminals use a new variable-bit-rate ATM codec created to realize high quality video. Users can easily create full featured teleconferences without a centralized connection facility. Liquefaction of Botryococcus braunii, a colony-forming microalga, with high moisture content was performed with or without sodium carbonate as a catalyst for conversion into liquid fuel and recovery of hydrocarbons. A greater amount of oil than the content of hydrocarbons in B. braunii (50 wt% db) was obtained, in a yield of 57–64 wt% at 300 °C. The oil was equivalent in quality to petroleum oil. We are developing compact X-band linac X-ray sources for nondestructive evaluation and medicine. First, we develop a portable X-ray system by a 950 keV 9.4 GHz X-band linac to realize on-site inspection. We use a low power (250 kW) magnetron as an RF source for compactness of the whole system. Since the RF power source is quite small and the stored energy in the structure is also small, we faced the problem of beam loading and current/RF-power oscillation. We are analyzing the problem by the circuit model. We plan to use this system for erosion inspection of metal pipes of petrochemical complex. By adopting a side-coupling cavity design to avoid the oscillation, we have developed 6 MeV X-band (9.3 GHz) linac for pinpoint dynamic tracking cancer therapy. Furthermore, we are manufacturing 3.95 MeV X-band (9.3 GHz) linac X-ray source with flexible waveguides for on-site bridge inspection. Updated results and situations are presented. 相似文献
