Attribute selection is a technique to prune less relevant information and discover high‐quality knowledge. It is especially useful for the classification of a large database, because the preprocessing of data increases the possibility that predictor attributes given to the mining algorithm become more relevant to the class attribute. In this paper, a method to acquire the optimal attribute subset for the genetic network programming (GNP) based class association rule mining has been proposed, and this attribute selection process using genetic algorithm (GA) leads to a higher accuracy for classification. Class association rule mining through GNP is conducted with a small subset of data rather than the original large number of attributes; thus simple but important rules are obtained for classification while the local optimal problem is avoided. Simulation results with educational data show that the classification accuracy is largely improved from 52.73 to 74.54%, when classification is made using the optimal attribute subset. © 2014 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. Protein aggregation is a major obstacle in both biological applications and biomedical fields involving proteins. In this study, we investigated the essential structure of small additives that function as chemical chaperones. Aggregation-suppressing competent additives were 1,3-diaminopropane, 1,4-diaminobutane, and 1,5-diaminopentane, which suppressed aggregation in the given order; whereas no diols or monoamines prevented the thermal aggregation and the inactivation of lysozyme. The heat-inactivation rate of lysozyme with 1,3-diaminopropane was almost identical to that of lysozyme with spermine and arginine ethylester, which are the most prominent additives reported yet.  相似文献

This article investigates the correlation between optical emission and turbulent length scale in a coaxial jet diffusion flame. To simulate the H2O emission from an H2/O2 diffusion flame, radiative transfer is calculated on flame data obtained by numerical simulation. H2O emission characteristics are examined for a one-dimensional opposed-flow diffusion flame. The results indicate that H2O emission intensity is linearly dependent on flame thickness. The simulation of H2O emission is then extended to an H2/O2 turbulent coaxial jet diffusion flame. Time series data for a turbulent diffusion flame are obtained by Large Eddy Simulation, and radiative transfer calculations are conducted on the LES results to simulate H2O emission optical images. The length scales of visible structures in the simulated emission images are determined by the procedure proposed by Ivancic and Mayer (2002) [8]. The length scales of emission intensity are compared with the integral length scales of velocity and temperature evaluated from LES flowfield data. The results clearly indicate that the length scale of emission intensity agrees well with the integral length scale of temperature, and is also close to that of the radial velocity component. Finally, the explanation as to why the integral length scale of temperature can be extracted from emission intensity distributions is stated.  相似文献

In this study, a 5.9‐inch foldable active‐matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) display was developed. A folding test was performed repeatedly. The display survived the folding test (100,000 folds) with a curvature radius of 2 mm. To protect an organic light emitting diode (OLED) against moisture, inorganic passivation layers are provided on the upper and lower sides of the flexible display. Using our transfer technology, high density passivation layers can be obtained. The measured water vapor transmission rate of the layer is 7 × 10?6 g/m2?day or less, which improves OLED reliability. With these techniques, we have developed a book‐type display, which is repeatedly foldable like a book, and a tri‐fold display including a display area, which is foldable in three.  相似文献

To develop insulating materials with a high thermally conductive anisotropy, planarly aligned mesogenic epoxy (ME) resin film was fabricated by uniaxial coating on a hydrophobic polyethylene terephthalate substrate. Grazing incidence small-angle X-ray scattering (GISAXS) and transmission SAXS measurements exhibited that the films spontaneously formed uniaxially aligned monodomain-like smectic structures by curing on the hydrophobic substrate. Then, an in- and out-of-plane thermal conductivity of 10 and 0.048 W m−1 K−1 and outstanding thermal conductivity anisotropy of 208 have been confirmed, respectively. The ME resin films with high thermal conductivity can be applied as insulating materials for multiple-layer electrical and electronic devices.  相似文献

To theoretically explore amorphous materials with a sufficiently low dielectric loss, which are essential for next-generation communication devices, the applicability of a nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulation employing an external alternating electric field was examined using alkaline silicate glass models. In this method, the dielectric loss is directly evaluated as the phase shift of the dipole moment from the applied electric field. This method enabled us to evaluate the dielectric loss in a wide frequency range from 1 GHz to 10 THz. It was observed that the dielectric loss reaches its maximum at a few THz. The simulation method was found to qualitatively reproduce the effects of alkaline content and alkaline type on the dielectric loss. Furthermore, it reasonably reproduced the effect of mixed alkalines on the dielectric loss, which was observed in our experiments on sodium and/or potassium silicate glasses. Alkaline mixing was thus found to reduce the dielectric loss.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

It is important to perform neutron transport simulations with accurate nuclear data in the neutronics design of a fusion reactor. However, absolute values of large-angle scattering cross sections vary among nuclear data libraries even for well-examined nuclide of iron. Benchmark experiments focusing on large-angle scattering cross sections were thus performed to confirm the correctness of nuclear data libraries. The series benchmark experiments were performed at a DT neutron source facility, OKTAVIAN of Osaka University, Japan, by the unique experimental system established by the authors’ group, which can extract only the contribution of large-angle scattering reactions. This system consists of two shadow bars, target plate (iron), and neutron detector (niobium). Two types of shadow bars were used and four irradiations were conducted for one experiment, so that contribution of room-return neutrons was effectively removed and only large-angle scattering neutrons were extracted from the measured four Nb reaction rates. The obtained experimental results were compared with calculations for five nuclear data libraries including JENDL-4.0, JEFF.-3.3, FENDL-3.1, ENDF/B- VII, and recently released ENDF/B-VIII. It was found from the comparison that ENDF/B-VIII showed the best result, though ENDF/B-VII showed overestimation and others are in large underestimation at 14 MeV.  相似文献

Imperata cylindrica is known to produce a pair of triterpenes, isoarborinol and fernenol, that exhibit identical planar structures but possess opposite stereochemistry at six of the nine chiral centers. These differences arise from a boat or a chair cyclization of the B-ring of the substrate. Herein, we report the characterization of three OSC genes from I. cylindrica. IcOSC1 and IcOSC5 were identified as isoarborinol and fernenol synthases, respectively, while IcOSC3 was characterized as a multifunctional enzyme that produces glutinol and friedelin as its major products. Mutational studies of isoarborinol and fernenol synthases revealed that the residues surrounding the DCTAE motif partially affected the conformation of the B-ring during cyclization. Additionally, the IcOSC1-W255H mutant produced the rare triterpene boehmerol. The introduced histidine residue presumably abstracted a proton from the intermediary carbocation at C18 during the 1,2-rearrangement. Expression analysis indicated that all OSC genes were highly expressed in stems.  相似文献

Contact damage in materials is critical in engineering applications because it influences mechanical resistance, such as wear, erosion, and impact failure. Indentation tests were performed using a tungsten carbide ball indenter (Hertzian contact) on the surfaces of glass–ceramics containing hexagonal CaAl2Si2O8 or mica crystals (fluorophlogopite), both of which have a layered structure. The stress–strain relation and the permanent deformation on the surface, as well as the observation of the microcrack zone by X-ray computed tomography using synchrotron radiation, revealed that the glass–ceramic with hexagonal CaAl2Si2O8 showed ductility similar to the quasi-plastic behavior previously observed in the mica glass–ceramic. The yield stresses of the glass–ceramics were estimated from the stress deviating from the stress–strain relation assuming complete elastic response between the ball and the sample. The ratio of the yield stress to Young modulus (Y/E) of the glass–ceramic with hexagonal CaAl2Si2O8 was determined to be higher than that of the mica glass–ceramic.  相似文献

Oxide glasses are dielectric materials with potential applications in high-frequency communications; hence, their dielectric properties in the gigahertz to terahertz frequency range should be investigated. In this study, the dielectric properties of silica glass and five single alkali silicate glasses were measured at 0.5–10 THz using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy and far-infrared spectroscopic ellipsometry. At 0.5–10 THz, the silica glass exhibited low dielectric dispersion with a low dielectric constant and loss. By contrast, the alkali silicate glasses exhibited high dielectric dispersion, and the dielectric constant and loss were higher than those of the silica glass. The shape of the dielectric dispersion profile depended on the alkali-metal ions; it was broader for lighter ions such as Li ions and sharper for heavier ions such as Cs ions. The peak dielectric loss shifted toward a lower frequency as the weight of the alkali-metal ions in the alkali-silicate glass increased. To understand the dielectric dispersion, the complex permittivity was calculated using molecular dynamics simulations. The theoretical results qualitatively agreed with the experimental data. Ion dynamics analysis revealed that alkali-metal ions vibrate and migrate under an applied electric field, which affects the dielectric constant and loss of alkali-silicate glasses at gigahertz to terahertz frequencies. To fabricate filter devices at low temperatures, alkali metals should be added to silicate glass; therefore, a minimum amount of light alkali metals should be used to minimize the dielectric loss of the glass materials while maintaining productivity.  相似文献
